@kostas That's an error with the Ao.BigBox.Utils plugin. But actually it looks like maybe the theme is invalid and the correct resources aren't loaded. Maybe check to make sure that you have the latest version of the theme.
  2. Keep in mind guys that not everything on this list will necessarily make it in before the next poll. Generally, everything on the top-voted half of the list will, but things with minimal votes probably won't. Just a clarification there.
  3. Hey all, I have the first 8.1 beta out with the following: - Fixed: Alphanumeric navigation in LaunchBox caused a conflict with arrow key navigation (jumping to games starting with "Up") - Fixed: On rare occasions when switching themes in Big Box and returning to the filters view, the details were not populated and Escape could not be used without first switching the selection We'll be looking to put out the official 8.1 release relatively quickly, specifically to resolve the first issue above, assuming everything tests out.
  4. I should have a beta out with a fix for this later today guys.
  5. The problem we have is that Fruit Machines isn't really a platform, though we definitely need a better way to categorize arcade games on the database. We use playlists in the app, of course, but I don't think that data is accessible on the DB website.
  6. Thank you! I'll get this into a beta here shortly.
  7. Yeah, do be careful, because the last thing we want is to end up with a complete translation that we can't use. The important thing is that it ends up in the correct .resx format.
  8. At least there's that. But, yes, I'll definitely be doing some testing to see if there's anything I can do to fix the issue. Thanks again guys.
  9. Yeah, agreed. That's not a good thing. I use nVidia on all my machines of course, so at least it should be easy enough to test. I assume the overlay stuff isn't enabled by default, though, right?
  10. Did you happen to update your nVidia drivers recently @Vhero? I'm curious if the issue has anything to do with LaunchBox 8.0, or if it's just the drivers.
  11. Lol, wow, another oddity. There is the ability to hide the taskbar in Big Box, so I expect that would help. It's in the General options I believe.
  12. Good to hear. Sounds like I have some testing to do with that overlay.
  13. WOW. Very, very good sleuthing sir. Thanks for figuring that out. I'll definitely look into that to see if there's anything we can do to fix that. It's also puzzling how that would have changed for 8.0. Still, so glad we have a good lead, at least.
  14. In theory though this should be similar to using Safe Mode, so that might be an easier thing to try.
  15. Another thing you could try, just to rule out any weird conflicts like that, is to kill every process you can from Task Manager temporarily and see if the problem still occurs. Thanks for sticking with me on this one guys; we'll get it figured out. We just have to figure out what on earth is unique on you guys' systems that is causing the issue.
  16. This is another complete shot in the dark, but I noticed Corsair Utility Engine in the list. There were several threads a while back about it somehow interfering with things, such as this thread: By any chance do you both have that in Task Manager? What happens if you kill that process?
  17. Okay, good to know. And yet I assume LaunchBox loads quickly on that machine?
  18. Sure. The Chrome portion is portable and should be completely unrelated to any installed version of Chrome (in theory).
  19. Okay, thanks for the info. No reason to keep reiterating the same info over and over again though lol... I'm wondering if the big wait somehow has to do with 7-zip. Do you see anything in task manager called 7-Zip or "7-Zip Console" while you're waiting for Big Box to load?
  20. Not a bad idea. It very well could be crappy anti-virus interfering. Safe mode isn't a bad idea either. Thanks @Kondorito.
  21. Alright, another thing to test. Once Big Box loads are you able to use the built-in PDF reader to view manuals? Is performance in Big Box still poor once it finally loads?
  22. It still doesn't make sense that extracting those files would take 10 minutes though, unless the system is a complete dinosaur.
  23. Okay, so, on first launch Big Box does extract a rather extensive set of files for the Chrome integration. However, this should only happen on first launch. There could also be a problem if the process is killed half-way through, come to think of it as well (though probably unlikely). @tjwoosta Does Big Box start up quickly now that it loaded up?
  24. Oh really...odd...
