Thanks @scree, yes, it is not enabled by default. You have to enable it for each emulator. When you add a new emulator, LaunchBox should automatically check that box if the emulator is recognized as needing it, but for your existing emulators you'll have to manually go and check the box. Also see the change log.

The folder isn't yet changeable, but I can add that if it's necessary. It currently uses the LaunchBox\7-Zip\Temp folder. It does indeed delete the files when the emulator closes.

New beta is out with support for extracting 7z, rar, and zipped ROM files as well as a new optional popup in Big Box when starting games (prevents kids from starting multiple copies of a game). :)

Hi @roadrage768, unfortunately I haven't been able to replicate this. I'm not sure what might be causing it on your machine, but it seems like it must be a configuration issue of some sort. I'll do some more testing to see if I can get it to happen, but the fact that it's every single emulator is weird. One thing I would suggest trying is to create a new Windows user on your computer and then log in as that and see if the issue is still there.

Let's use this thread though to keep track of people who want to be in the beta group for submissions and moderation. I think we'll probably open this up sooner rather than later. :)

Sorry for the trouble guys. I recently upgraded to a more powerful server (last week I think) in preparation for the added traffic coming for the LaunchBox Games Database. I managed to do it with zero downtime, so I was pretty happy with that, but I guess I missed this. It should be fixed now. Gonna upload an image to test.

We get lots and lots of purchases for LaunchBox Premium of course, but that was our FIRST ORDER for merch outside of my own purchases. Needlessly to say it hasn't really been a big hit. ;)

I indeed have a solution for this planned. All it takes is to ignore input for a few seconds after launching a game. :)

The best I can figure is that you still have a firewall on your computer that is specifically blocking LaunchBox itself from communicating to the Internet. It seems that all communication is blocked in LaunchBox only, so my best guess is there's another firewall somewhere getting in the way, that is specifically denying LaunchBox access to the web.

Oddly it seems like the computer can't connect at all to http://images.launchbox-app.com. Unfortunately that error message gives us no reason why either. It still seems like it's most likely a firewall or blocking issue, but I can't confirm 100%. We haven't received reports of this issue from anyone else, so unfortunately I have to assume it's an issue with the machine itself. Perhaps there's another firewall you might have missed?

Yeah, we should be able to confirm one way or another if we see the end of the error messages if you scroll right in the dialog.

Thanks for the screenshot @ptoleary. I'm guessing something on your machine is blocking the download for some reason. If you scroll over to the right in the errors list, what to do the end of the errors say?

Hi @snoopaloop83, welcome. Unfortunately there are lots of things that could be causing this problem. Different ROMs work with different versions of MAME, so it could just mean that you need an updated version of the ROMs. Or it could be that MAME is configured improperly somehow, but the first thing I would try is getting an updated version of the ROM to see if that helps.

Hi @DudeManL57, a new official version is coming out later today that removes our reliance on TheGamesDB. Or, there's already a beta out as well. :)

Thank you @dpc5555. I believe there is already a ticket on Bitbucket for an icon overlay for completed games.

I'm currently in the process of pulling all of the remaining data from TheGamesDB. This process should complete later today and then I'll be putting out the official release. :)

keltoigael said I dont know if this is a bug or not but with the latest beta client every NES game that I imported that started with a number, 720, 1942 etc got meta data attached correctly, no images and appears in the All tab but not in the NES library. I was able to go into the games and download images but they still appear in All but not in NES. I ran a quick test on this (imported a complete NES library), and the titles that start with a number imported fine into the NES platform, so yes, I think this must have been because the games existed before the import.
