  1. Awesome, thanks @GatoSoft. I'm hoping eventually we can allow contributions to the database from directly inside of LaunchBox.
  2. Awesome, turned out really well. Thanks again for sharing the build @dovella. Even my full-size cabinet is a little jealous of that thing. ;)
  3. New beta version is out. I got sick and tired of TGDB going down so I ragequit. We're no longer reliant on TheGamesDB.net. LaunchBox is now connected to a read-only database hosted by us (based on the data from TheGamesDB.net). The data is basically an outdated copy of the data from TGDB, including images. Whenever TGDB does come back up (based on my talks with Flexage I am confident that it will but not sure how long it will be), we can update the data in our own database from the data in TGDB database. Soon enough though we will be branching out completely and allowing users to contribute to our database. I think you'll find that imports are faster and cleaner now. Please test everything you can as soon as you're able; I'm hoping to put this out as an official release as soon as possible, since LaunchBox 5.7 is so crippled without TGDB being available. This has no effect on our plans to add additional scrapers such as MobyGames. That is still planned.

  8. Thank you very much, guys. My last day on the job is this coming Friday, and then 100% of my time goes to LaunchBox. I can't wait. Thanks for bearing with me for the last couple of weeks, of course my work is heavy right now since I'm leaving.
  9. Wow, very cool. That's exciting. That error looks to be a glitch with the XML reading apparently under WINE. Not sure what I could do to fix that other than to completely rewrite the XML engine. Do you know if there's someone we can report the glitch to?
  10. Really? Nice, they must have changed that then. Last I tried was like a year ago.
  11. CriticalCid said The only real downside is that only one person at the same time can use the game library. If one of your friends or family members plays a game of yours and you want to play yourself (it doesn’t matter if it’s the same game or a completely different one) they would have to exit the game. And of course games which need a second launcher (like Uplay) won’t work either without sharing your account information’s. Yeah, I thought Steam was 100% perfect and wonderful until I had kids. Now I hate the heck out of it. Think about it, I own hundreds of games. And now my kids can't play ANY of them while I'm playing a different one? Or vice versa? When I found that out I felt pretty robbed.
  12. Yeah, this one has been a real pain to figure out. I have seen it happen myself but it's so rare and random that I can't seem to pinpoint it. I appreciate all the efforts though in figuring it out. It'd be really great if we could nail it down.
  13. Yeah, from a business perspective, Android is probably a much smarter platform to add on than Linux or even Mac. I get asked about Retroarch and LaunchBox on Android constantly. Like 4 or 5 times a week. It'd certainly be a bigger challenge to tackle than Linux or Mac though.
  14. Hmm, that is really odd. I wonder if maybe there's another application on your system that is sending a key combination when that button is pressed? I assume the B button is not Button 10 per the screenshots. You can try disabling the controller AutoHotkey features, just in case that is the cause, but that doesn't make a whole lot of sense either.

    RocketLauncher

Thanks all. Does anyone have any information or has anyone done any testing with Windows 10 and controller support in AutoHotkey? Anyone know if Rocket Launcher uses AutoHotkey controller support? The reason I ask is it seems that AutoHotkey game controller support is broken on Windows 10 in many cases.
  16. CriticalCid I haven't gotten any updates as of current from Moby. @TracyPoff might be able to give us an update though. :)
  17. Will do, yes, it's certainly frustrating news. I'll be back to look back into this soon.
  18. Wow, that is beautiful. Very, very nice. :) Loving the look of the aluminum against the pretty graphics.
  19. Nice guys, good job on those. I like yours, especially, @gradientpixel. I think we're still going to go with Cujo's and jmdbcool's for now though. We should have those shirts up soon. :)
  20. The best tool to use for this is something called CUETools. It's the same software that you use to rip regular audio CDs. It's not the easiest to use, but it gives you the most accurate representation of the audio on the CD. I'm kind of an audiophile...I rip all my CDs to FLAC and always verify that they're 100% accurate. It's kind of an obsession.
  21. Still might be worth trying both 32-bit and 64-bit to see if it happens to solve the issue. Retroarch's stability hasn't exactly been the greatest as of late; it is possible that one might work better than the other.
  22. Hi Franz, any chance you increased the size of your collection? I don't think the difference between 5.5 and 5.7 startup times should really be different, but LaunchBox does take slightly longer to load as you increase the size of your collection.
  23. Hi @dovella, you can force a fix for this using the AutoHotkey script on the emulator, but this is a known issue that I have on my list to fix.
