  1. Yup, that's correct @DOS76. So long as you're filtered to only the games you want to delete, of course.
  2. Hi @fromlostdays, the trick here is that deleting the platform does not currently delete any games. This is on my list to fix because it confuses a lot of people. The games are all still there, but have an empty platform. Try adding the "None" filter option to the sidebar and then filter on platforms None and then you can easily delete them all.
  3. DOS76 said That is strange but I just checked from the start you can pin something to the taskbar and then if you hit shit + right click it offers you the option to create a short cut from there. Are you on the stable version or in the Insider Program? Is it Pro version or Core? I don't know if they would make a difference but I'm in the IP and have Pro version of 10 Good to know. I'm running the pro version of Win10, but not in the insider program, so maybe that's it. Man, that's crazy. It's really stupid that it requires a 3-step process. Facepalm.
  4. DOS76 said How about a simple one Big Box written in RUN DMC style logo with the BjigBox logo as the dot over the i. Great idea, @DOS76. :)
  5. Thank you Darren, this means a lot to us. We're very much looking for to growing the software and the community. :)
  6. Odd, shell.AppsFolder doesn't seem to work for me in the Windows 10 run box.
  7. Ah, okay. That's really stupid that you can't just do it from the Start menu. That would sure make it more straightforward.
  8. Hi @dhobo, I understand your point of view; we're not looking for professionals here, only for hobbyists to have some fun. Frankly, there's nothing wrong with that. If anyone views this as work, then please don't do it. For what it's worth, I don't buy the whole "NEVER DO ANYTHING FOR FREE" mindset. I am a developer myself (of course), and I've spent over 10 very successful years in the industry, which I am very grateful for. I still enjoy it and I enjoy screwing around with stuff like this from time to time. It is your choice to participate, and there's nothing wrong with having a little fun with it.
  9. FastFeet, I share that passion. I would love for "perfect" metadata and images collections to be available for integration into LaunchBox/Big Box. If we can find a perfect set of data for a particular platform, then I can actually integrate it straight into LaunchBox eventually. Going forward, ideally I'd like to revamp the metadata engine to by default use a collection of the best metadata available for a platform that comes with LaunchBox, and then only use the scrapers as a secondary option. I know the Hyperspin metadata would probably be a good starting point for this, but it is fairly incomplete from what I can tell (it only contains NA region stuff for the most part, from what I can tell). That said, if anyone wants to put together a perfect list of metadata for any particular platform, I can work on getting that data directly integrated into LaunchBox. We could just use Excel or similar.
  10. Thanks for this @DOS76. Is there any way to tell windows to create a shortcut file on the desktop or something similar for those apps?
  11. Hey everyone, this week we introduced a shiny new Merch store! We're looking to flesh it out with a few more interesting, hilarious, and/or unique t-shirt designs, so we need your help! Submit your original designs here, and if we use your design, we'll send you the completed t-shirt for free, as well as a free premium license! Feel free to share ideas and/or collaborate as well; we’ll make sure everyone involved in the final design gets a free shirt and a premium license to keep or give away to a friend. Keep in mind that we are not setting a limit of any kind on how many designs will be approved. We'll pick the designs based on how unique, funny, and well done they are, and if there are lots of great designs, then we'll have lots of different t-shirts available! Please make sure that all submitted designs are original and are not stolen from anywhere else, as we will need the rights to the design in order to be able to reproduce it on t-shirts. Upload your designs in PNG format right here in this thread. Please make sure that the design is large enough to print on the t-shirt as well; designs should be at least 800 x 800 pixels large, but may need to be even bigger depending on how much of the t-shirt the design will cover. If you have an idea but are not an artist, feel free to share your idea and someone else in the thread can help with the design...and you'll both get a free shirt! Thanks to all; we can't wait to see what everyone comes up with. :)
  12. Hi Dany, sure; send me the details to jasondavidcarr at gmail. Per the metadata, again, it's a better solution for us to have all the data locally than to use an external API. That said, I can see it as a good option to add, especially for images.
  13. If you're getting that message, then yes, that is definitely the problem. There are path length limitations in Windows, even with NTFS. It's really stupid that that problem still exists, but it does still exist in Windows 10. The only thing I can recommend is moving things out to a parent folder or a shorter folder path to solve that problem :/
  14. Good question to add here! LaunchBox caches the images, and only updates the cache for certain games when it feels it needs to. Go to Tools > Refresh All Images. :)
  15. Hi magnus, try disabling scrolling via the triggers.
  16. Hexxxer, try disabling EmuMovies options to see if that fixes the problem for you. We apparently do still have some issues there that I am working to resolve.
  17. Sure, I could add a forum for noobs. I think that'd make @SentaiBrad really happy; there'd be lots of questions to answer. :P ;)
  18. Good point, Nathan. Hadn't thought about that.
  19. Wow, that's strange. Do you see the same results if you check the box to ignore duplicates in the wizard?
  20. Hi Liam, it is possible that the large games could take a long time to zip up. How long did you wait on the process?
  21. Good question, @Nickjs; I don't think there is, actually. Can you add a ticket for it on Bitbucket (the "Send Feedback" link in the header)?

^^^^^^ THIS. Thanks, kmoney. We're trying to gain ground. Ex-Hyperspin users are the biggest way to do that, and we need to appeal to them in every way possible, as soon as possible.
  23. Hi @Short Fuse, thanks for reporting this. I am not 100% sure, but I *think* this is caused by the "Root Folder" setting on the game. If I recall correctly, LaunchBox will mount the root folder, and then CD to the directory of the game's EXE. Try experimenting with that setting (or clearing it out). It's in the Folder tab when editing the game.
