  1. Thanks for the extensive testing @scree. The trick is that I am purposefully not clearing out that entire folder because so many emulators like to save states into the same folder as the ROMs, so I need to not delete them. I think what's going on is it's not properly identifying the files that were extracted from the archive. Reviewing.
  2. fromm said Would it be possible to have it prioritize .m3u files. This is the common way of launching multigame discs with Retroarch for PS1. This would allow people to compress all discs plus the m3u into one archive... Absolutely, will be in the next beta.
  3. Thanks all! All are welcome; we'll open it up in the order of the requests in this post. :)
  4. Just put out a new beta that hopefully fixes the above issues with the bin/cue and mdf/mds archives. Thanks again guys, let me know if you run into any additional issues with this new beta.
  5. Thanks guys, I think I see what's going on. I'm not expecting there to be more than one file in the zip files so it's launching just the first one that it finds. In the case of bin/cue, it's probably finding the bin first, which I expect is the problem. I'll add some logic for bin/cue and mdf/mds. Any other formats I should look out for?
  6. Cadet Stimpy said Mute64 said Abit of a backstory/history on LaunchBox would be cool to, like how it all began, why jason chose to make this great frontend and maybe were he would like to see it go. Good idea, Mute64. Maybe some early developmental screenshots (if available), too. Going all the way back through the News posts would probably be the best way to experience the history of LaunchBox. Believe it or not, I had the first version out in a weekend (literally 2 days). But all it did was launch games in DOSBox, and it was horribly inefficient. :) But believe it or not the box art view has been mostly unchanged since the beginning.
  7. AtypicalWinter said I'd like the. Idea if having platform specific emulator reviews/updates ect. I know there is quite a few different emulators for each platform but that's what would keep it busy. Quite a. Few of them getting updated from time to time. Some others not at all. But you get my drift Yeah, I like that idea too. Eventually I'd like to create an automatic emulator updater of sorts that pulls down, updates, and installs the emulators automatically. That's probably a ways off though.
  8. CriticalCid said So since Jason started to work full-time on LaunchBox this week I thought it would be nice to have a weekly or bi-weekly update in Retro Style Spotlight on what features or improvements Jason works right at the moment. My wish list of new features for LaunchBox is very long and this week we hit the 500 created tickets mark in BitBucket this week, so it would be nice to have regularly updates on what we can expect next. I'm gonna try to do this in the weekly emails going forward. Now that I'm in to full time development, I expect things to go quicker.
  9. Ah, sure. Odd. I'm guessing 7-zip is just somehow incompatible with that feature of WinRAR. :/
  10. Sigh, I have to admit that my experience with Spreadshirt has been very poor at best. That heavily influenced my decision to remove the store from the top menu. The store is still available, but my experience with Spreadshirt has been so terrible that I can't even recommend it to people. Back when I first put the store up I had mugs up there. I ordered all the products to test them so I could be certain the quality was up to snuff. The mugs I received were so terribly done that I had to completely remove them as products. The logos were crooked on both mugs. There were printing artifacts. It was like a bad joke. I'm tempted to just completely disable it. Sorry for that, Stimpy. I hope it washes out.
  11. Ah, okay. How did you convert the 7zip file?
  12. Thanks, Derek. It shouldn't need to be installed, no. Should support 7z, rar, or zip. Can you give me details on what you're trying to launch? The platform, emulator, ROM, what is in the zip file, etc. Also, what do you see in the LaunchBox\7-Zip\Temp folder when that error message is up?
  13. Also, keep in mind that we will not be enabling it by default for disc image (ISO, BIN, CUE) based systems, for performance reasons. That said it should work fine if you manually enable it for those emulators.
  14. Thanks @scree, yes, it is not enabled by default. You have to enable it for each emulator. When you add a new emulator, LaunchBox should automatically check that box if the emulator is recognized as needing it, but for your existing emulators you'll have to manually go and check the box. Also see the change log.
  15. The folder isn't yet changeable, but I can add that if it's necessary. It currently uses the LaunchBox\7-Zip\Temp folder. It does indeed delete the files when the emulator closes.
  16. New beta is out with support for extracting 7z, rar, and zipped ROM files as well as a new optional popup in Big Box when starting games (prevents kids from starting multiple copies of a game). :)
  17. Hi @roadrage768, unfortunately I haven't been able to replicate this. I'm not sure what might be causing it on your machine, but it seems like it must be a configuration issue of some sort. I'll do some more testing to see if I can get it to happen, but the fact that it's every single emulator is weird. One thing I would suggest trying is to create a new Windows user on your computer and then log in as that and see if the issue is still there.
  18. Let's use this thread though to keep track of people who want to be in the beta group for submissions and moderation. I think we'll probably open this up sooner rather than later. :)
  19. Looks like it works now. I believe the previous uploads should work now too. Again, sorry for the trouble guys.
  20. Sorry for the trouble guys. I recently upgraded to a more powerful server (last week I think) in preparation for the added traffic coming for the LaunchBox Games Database. I managed to do it with zero downtime, so I was pretty happy with that, but I guess I missed this. It should be fixed now. Gonna upload an image to test.
  21. A couple days ago, actually. Which is funny because that's when we get our first order lol. ;)
  22. Ha, thanks Mike! Feel free to have an embroidered version made. No problem there. :) I just about had a heart attack when I saw an actual merch order come in! Lol. We get lots and lots of purchases for LaunchBox Premium of course, but that was our FIRST ORDER for merch outside of my own purchases. Needlessly to say it hasn't really been a big hit. ;)
  23. I indeed have a solution for this planned. All it takes is to ignore input for a few seconds after launching a game. :)
  24. The best I can figure is that you still have a firewall on your computer that is specifically blocking LaunchBox itself from communicating to the Internet. It seems that all communication is blocked in LaunchBox only, so my best guess is there's another firewall somewhere getting in the way, that is specifically denying LaunchBox access to the web.
