  1. Alright, well that was hairy. New beta out, I have it fixed for ScummVM, so I assume it should be fixed for the rest as well. Let me know if anyone continues to see the issue. :) Note that the issue is fixed in Big Box (or so I hope), but the LaunchBox window sizing is a separate issue that I'll have to revisit yet.
  2. Ah, okay, I'm able to replicate it now with ScummVM. Apparently I haven't fixed it after all. I do have some ideas yet though.
  3. Sure, makes sense. That was one of the biggest reasons why I implemented mounts like that to begin with. Hopefully I can tackle that soon. That said, I don't recall exactly how it works, but I do force DOSBox to allow relative paths. I believe it just has to do with the current directory when you start up DOSBox, which I consistently set to the DOSBox folder underneath LaunchBox.
  4. I see, thanks. Putting out a new beta right now; I'm hoping it fixes the issue. This new beta also has new titles above the lists that are displayed whenever a clear logo doesn't exist. They are of course optional. Thoughts? Ideally, every developer, publisher, genre, etc. would have a clear logo and/or banner image, but obviously LaunchBox doesn't support that just yet. I don't think it will make it into 5.2, but I foresee the ability to add images to all of these types in the near future. For what it's worth, I also foresee viewing/editing things other than games in the main LaunchBox view (such as developers, publishers, genres, etc.).
  5. Yeah, you can. Forcing a maximize/restore, forcing a refresh, other things. There are ways.
  6. Yeah, I meant not sure if Sylandro used the old importer or the new MS-DOS importer. Doesn't really matter though.
  7. Yeah, I think you're right. It's an unfortunate Windows issue. That said, with the nature of LaunchBox and Big Box and what they do, I ought to be able to find a workaround to get it fixed. Otherwise, I can see it getting really annoying.
  8. Yeah, I expect that a lot of it is because of missing games on TGDB. But yeah, I know it's far from ideal. Fixing all the metadata gaps is pretty high on my list right now, and I'm convinced that the best way to do it is to create our own database and let users easily upload their entire libraries to it. So hopefully I can focus on that soon.
  9. It's actually gone now in favor of the standard MS-DOS games import. Not sure what @sylandro used.
  10. Awesome, thanks guys. @DOS76, any chance you can screenshot me what Big Box looks like after the Kat5200 or Project 64?
  11. Ah, didn't know about that. I'll see if I can get that added. In the mean time, you can manually set it all up in the DOSBox configuration using the Autoexec section, though obviously that's more of a pain.
  12. Per the stretching, oddly, I'm having trouble reproducing. I suppose it's possible that it's a Windows glitch that was actually fixed in Windows 10, or maybe it happens only with certain emulators. I've tried changing the resolutions in Dolphin and PCSX2 and I can't get it to happen. Anyone know what emulator(s) are causing it?
  13. Thank you @sylandro. I figured this out and have this fixed now, thanks for your help. :)
  14. clarky05 said SUCCSESS! Thank you so much wouldnt have thought to look at kodi. So basically i think what was happening was that i had set Kodi to "KEEP AUDIO DEVICE ALIVE" because i used to output sound to bluetooth speakers. This was sending an inaudible tone on the Xaudio driver. When big box tried to start up it couldnt use the audio driver because kodi was constantly using it, this is what was causing it to crash. So in short, make sure that in the audio settings of kodi you have "KEEP AUDIO DEVICE ALIVE" set to "OFF". I would also like to say that this is by far the best peiece of software i have ever used alongside kodi. Its just brilliant and setting it up is so easy and well thought out. You honestly have done something ive been waiting for, for quite literally 6 years. In closing all that i can add would be: 1) The ability to select music to play when each platform is selected and 2) custom themes, it looks amazing as it is but im sure the community can throw some extra eye candy on this brillaint set up. Thank you EDIT: Is it possible currently to play specific videos upon selecting a platform (i.e the bios screen video) Awesome! Glad that's figured out. I have both #1 and #2 on my to-do list. Platform videos are not possible as of yet, but I'll add that to my list as well.
  15. eric said just got the big box and it looks great.....in LB it shows all my games but when i go to bigbox i can only view my recently played games,,,how do i change this? in the options, thanks Hi @eric, welcome. Did you try selecting a platform (Enter key)? Selecting a platform should show you all the games for that platform. Other than that, I can't think of why Big Box would only show Recently Played games.
  16. Ah, wow, so that's happening in both LaunchBox and Big Box. I have seen it before in LaunchBox. Ugh, I imagine that's an ugly pain; better tackle that one soon. Thanks guys.
  17. Good to know, thanks. Would you mind sharing your Steam ID? Is it private right now?
  18. Yeah, the trick with the imports is you really need there to be zero false positives. I'd rather have it not find a game than find an incorrect one, so I lean on the safe side. I've tweaked that matching process a lot, but of course there's always more tweaking to do. I'll look into : and !. :)
  19. @orac31, unfortunately if I let controllers work in Big Box while it's not focused, then Big Box would be doing things while you're playing games, etc. Unfortunately Windows sometimes steals focus away from programs during startup, so this happens occasionally. Not sure if there's anything I can really do to get around that issue.
  20. Thanks, @orac31. I do have an item on my list to try and fix that automatically for ePSXe.
  21. Weird, I thought it was doing that. It should show this message if you try to import with a private account: Is that broken for you? Just be nice to get that fixed if there's an issue with it. :)
  22. Good point @garbanzo. I remember this from way back but somehow it slipped between the cracks. I'll get it on the list. :)
  23. I've done some experimentation; any chance that either of you guys have more than one controller attached to your systems? I'm not certain, but I'm thinking there might be an issue with multiple controllers. Also, try switching between "Use All Controllers" and specifying a controller. Let me know if any of that helps.
  24. Hi @sylandro, for the life of me I can't replicate this. Once games are deleted, they re-import just fine for me. Any chance you thought they were deleted but they just exist under a different platform or something? How did you delete the games? If you happened to delete the platform, that doesn't delete the games. That would just mean that the games are still there without an associated platform.
  25. Hi dariodb, Nathan's right. I do plan on adding playlists, but they're not a high priority right now because they're so similar to features that already exist, such as custom filters. It's not quite as convenient as a proper playlist, but custom filters should give you what you need to create something that acts like a playlist.
