  1. Hi @AlonB, I wouldn't think administrator mode should have anything to do with it, but I could be wrong, I suppose. Is there any way to see if AutoHotkey is working at all on your system? I've never seen that before.
  2. Thanks Brad. :) @DeathProxy, good point; that's not in Big Box just yet. I'll add it to my list. :)
  3. All, I just put out 5.1. There were a few bugs that people reported that I fixed with 5.0, see the change log. Was going to put out a beta first but then just figured it'd be better to get the fixes out there instead.
  4. Thanks guys. @shinra358, that extra level of organization makes sense; I like that. I'm currently working on filtering for the other types of data at the base level, so at least you can filter by genre, status, etc. instead of platform if you need. That I can see coming next. The background image darkening is already controllable in Options. I added dimming when idle to my list; the other items are all planned. Big Box is supposed to be work with hotplugging like Retroarch; have you checked the box to "Enable all attached controllers"? @MrSirrr, good idea on the triggers. But yes, we definitely need a way for faster navigation. The page up/page down buttons should help, but you can't hold them down, so I at least have a fix for that on the way.
  5. Hi @Beruchan13, welcome and thanks much. :) #1 is a current focus and should at least be improved for the next release. #2 should be coming soon as well, though maybe not for the next release. #3, good idea. I'll add it to my list. #4 and #5 are planned, and just keep getting pushed aside. Hopefully I can tackle these soon. #6 is currently best handled using Additional Applications. Thanks!
  6. Welcome @oreozzy. Not sure what would be the cause for that, sans for maybe a firewall issue. TGDB searches are working fine in 5.0 for me, and if the site is up, your firewall is all I can figure might be an issue. The Metadata.xml file has nothing to do with TGDB search, only the LocalDB search.
  7. Oic, yeah. It does take a while for those to clear, unfortunately.
  8. Hi @EscalatorBoy, I responded on your other post. :)
  9. Thank you @EscalatorBoy! The email should come right away, so if it hasn't arrived within a minute or two, it's probably stuck in a spam filter somewhere. I don't see any licenses purchased with your email, though; what's the email attached to your PayPal account?
  10. Hi @AlonB, welcome. The first thing I would do is reboot to see if it fixes the issue, because I've seen AutoHotkey get hung up before, due to multiple instances, etc. Beyond that, I'm not sure. I just tested to make sure everything is working right in 5.0, and I'm not seeing any issues. Do you have "use all controllers" checked or do you have it set to a specific controller?
  11. Thanks @scree, I agree; scrolling the details is a must. Custom fonts is a new one to add to the list; makes sense. :)
  12. Thank you @DeathProxy and Martin. Game counts and individual volume controls are new; those are great ideas and I'll add them to the list. The rest is indeed planned. :) Martin, planning on getting shutdown features implemented before the next official release.
  13. Ha, take that, big brother.
  14. Yeah, I've become increasingly aware of that as of late. I'll be focusing on improving the arcade metadata experience very soon.
  15. Let's hear your Big Box love/hate/suggestions!
  16. Oh, one more thing to note. With 5.0, LaunchBox will automatically parse images from the folders. So, if you name the files correctly, and drop them in the right folder, then you don't have to edit the games at all to add screenshots. That may be more trouble than it's worth, though, depending on how you're working on it.
  17. Great idea Joaquin. I can see how that would be pretty tedious. Added to my list. I have another item on my list from someone else to figure out how to automatically add screenshots while in-game via hot-key. I think that'd be awesome too, but not sure how difficult or possible it would be, really. Thanks for the feedback and the purchase. :)
  18. Sure, good ideas @DeathProxy. Added both to my list. :)
  19. Exactly. @orac31 has the ticket. The browse dialog allows you to search. So search for only the file extensions you want to use, and then add them to the list in the wizard. Don't just drag the folder over.
  20. At least for emulators like MAME where the ROMs have to have specific file names, I plan to fix this issue going forward. However, not sure there's a good enough database of ROM CRCs for LaunchBox to be effective at determining the game from a CRC. If anyone finds one, let me know. I suppose you could probably hack the ROM import to work with Windows games. Might take a bit of extra effort, but it's no problem to select a bogus emulator in the wizard and then batch edit all the games to remove the emulator after the wizard has finished. It's not exactly cut and dry, there will be issues. But if you can use the browse dialog to search for all the EXEs you want to import, it would probably work. The only other issue is you're likely to have to edit the names of the games on the final page of the wizard in order to import good metadata.
  21. Welp, I tried that build with Sonic Colors on my son's PC, which had been running with a slight drop in frame rate as compared to on the actual Wii. For whatever reason, it actually ran slightly worse. Had more hiccups and such, and seemed to be slower in general. So I went back to the official version and changed the internal resolution to be 1x, which means to use the actual original Wii resolution, and surprise, surprise, runs as smooth as the Wii itself. So that was good to know.
  22. Thanks Nathan, great ideas. I know Big Box especially needs the ability to keep a song playing, so that'll be the first focus from this list. I really like your ideas for multiple music files, too. It seems like that might be easier than I originally thought.
  23. Thanks @Arcamenel, I'll see if there's anything I can do to fix that issue.
  24. Hi Jeremy, unfortunately I don't have a solution for the duplicates, as I tend to only keep the most ideal copy for each game in my collection. The compression for the ROMs of course depends on the platform/emulator, as some emulators support different archive formats, and some don't support archive formats at all, so unfortunately you have to deal with these things on a per-platform basis. Hopefully some other people can chime in; I'm probably not the most informed on this stuff. :)
