  1. Sure, good ideas @DeathProxy. Added both to my list. :)
  2. Exactly. @orac31 has the ticket. The browse dialog allows you to search. So search for only the file extensions you want to use, and then add them to the list in the wizard. Don't just drag the folder over.
  3. At least for emulators like MAME where the ROMs have to have specific file names, I plan to fix this issue going forward. However, not sure there's a good enough database of ROM CRCs for LaunchBox to be effective at determining the game from a CRC. If anyone finds one, let me know. I suppose you could probably hack the ROM import to work with Windows games. Might take a bit of extra effort, but it's no problem to select a bogus emulator in the wizard and then batch edit all the games to remove the emulator after the wizard has finished. It's not exactly cut and dry, there will be issues. But if you can use the browse dialog to search for all the EXEs you want to import, it would probably work. The only other issue is you're likely to have to edit the names of the games on the final page of the wizard in order to import good metadata.
  4. Welp, I tried that build with Sonic Colors on my son's PC, which had been running with a slight drop in frame rate as compared to on the actual Wii. For whatever reason, it actually ran slightly worse. Had more hiccups and such, and seemed to be slower in general. So I went back to the official version and changed the internal resolution to be 1x, which means to use the actual original Wii resolution, and surprise, surprise, runs as smooth as the Wii itself. So that was good to know.
  5. Thanks Nathan, great ideas. I know Big Box especially needs the ability to keep a song playing, so that'll be the first focus from this list. I really like your ideas for multiple music files, too. It seems like that might be easier than I originally thought.
  6. Thanks @Arcamenel, I'll see if there's anything I can do to fix that issue.
  7. Hi Jeremy, unfortunately I don't have a solution for the duplicates, as I tend to only keep the most ideal copy for each game in my collection. The compression for the ROMs of course depends on the platform/emulator, as some emulators support different archive formats, and some don't support archive formats at all, so unfortunately you have to deal with these things on a per-platform basis. Hopefully some other people can chime in; I'm probably not the most informed on this stuff. :)
  8. So it sounds like something got corrupted with the save, basically. Well, that sucks. Not sure if there's anything that can be done. You don't happen to have the ROMs or the saves in Dropbox do you?
  9. Hi @garbanzo, this was mentioned recently, actually. I have it on my list to create a related games feature. I didn't plan on adding a category to it, though; that's a great idea. :)
  10. Welcome @hansqpeter. Importing Windows games is unfortunately more of a challenge than it seems. I haven't seen it done before elsewhere, and for good reason, unfortunately. Games often have more than one EXE, so it's often not straightforward, and hunting for only games in Program Files is pretty much impossible, which is why we chose to go with the Start menu solution. That said, I can see a drag and drop option making sense, with the understanding that it'll get the EXE wrong sometimes. I'll add that to my list. :)
  11. Well, what you could do is create a platform called "Programs" and then put Plex in there, along with your other programs. Or, you could create a Game with "Plex" as the platform and "Open Plex" as the name of the game I suppose...
  12. Hi @wraslor, absolutely. You can launch whatever you want from LaunchBox. Just put the application startup EXE in the Application Path. Be sure to leave everything else at the defaults (don't check Use DOSBox, emulation, etc.).
  13. Hi @orac31, I'm using the Windows built-in video playback functionality, so basically it'll play whatever formats Windows Media Player supports on your system. I believe you can install codecs as well, if that helps.
  14. Hi Nathan, absolutely. Feedback/ideas are always appreciated. Would probably be good to start another thread for it though. Thanks, Martin. I was planning on adding an option to play random game music for platforms, but it makes sense to allow custom music as well. I'll do that when I implement that stuff. :)
  15. Hey guys, you're right; currently there's no scraper built into LaunchBox, but this is definitely planned for the near future. I'm working with EmuMovies to try and get their content integrated directly into LaunchBox. I'm talks with Circo, but it's taking a while to hear back from him. I'm not sure what is possible as of yet. But yes, as far as I've found, EmuMovies is by far the best library available of game videos. I haven't found anything better. For now, I've designed the videos feature to work well with the EmuMovies downloader. Should just be able to put the videos in the right path and it should automatically pick them all up.
  16. Hi @MrSirrr, good idea for the random game music on platforms. I'll see if I can add that feature soon. Overall music is planned as well. :)
  17. Thanks @geckogirl191, that's a really good point; not sure how we all missed that. I'll be sure to get a fix for this in the next beta.
  18. Hi @Cabirus, thanks for this. You're correct in your assumptions. I'll reach out to Frode soon. :)
  19. Thank you Nathan! I'll see if I can get a fix in for this before the release in 2 hours... :)
  20. Thank you @qwerty123! I have all of these fixed for the release tonight. :)
  21. Good to know, @nmc. That clears up some confusion for me, thanks.

    Bezel Support?

Hi @nmc, I'd love to have those overlays. That's definitely a good idea; added. :)
