  1. Awesome. I'll make it Simplified Chinese. :) Also, I know Chinese is really important because of the number of people, so I really appreciate it. I'm creating the files for both the French and the Chinese translations now. Hopefully the France version of French works.
  2. Also, @Wattoo and @Klamp, sorry I haven't gotten translation files to you guys yet. Quick question, though; is Canadian French similar enough to French in France that they're basically interchangeable? I ask because there's of course around six different versions of French. I'll probably call it the France version of French assuming there aren't too many differences between the two.
  3. Hi @cyanjiang, what version of Chinese do you know? Ideally we'd probably want to use the most generic version of Chinese, but I don't know how different they are from each other. zh-CN Chinese - China zh-HK Chinese - Hong Kong zh-MO Chinese - Macau zh-SG Chinese - Singapore zh-TW Chinese - Taiwan zh-CHS Chinese (Simplified) zh-CHT Chinese (Traditional)
  4. That does indeed look useful...lots of good data there. We'll have to see if they have any kind of an API and what their policy is on applications using their data. Wanna check that out for me? Unfortunately, we've reached out to TheGamesDB many times in the past and haven't had much luck working with them, or even getting a response as of late.
  5. Yeah, I'm not exactly swimming in space, but I can't resist. ;)
  6. Hi Shades, Brad's right; LaunchBox does not attempt to delete game files when deleting games. If it did this, there'd be all kinds of issues with Windows games that are installed, etc. I do have an item on my list though to allow deleting game files for ROMs or MS-DOS games, but I'm torn on whether that should be implemented or not. Per the images, I believe 5.0 does indeed solve the duplicate images problem. Images are still not deleted unless you use "Clean Up Images", but the prior images should automatically be re-used when creating a new game with the same platform and title.
  7. Hi Derek, yes, you can customize the images yourself through Manage Platforms. LaunchBox will only auto-populate the images if you don't specify custom images.
  8. Image files have CRCs in the file names you mean?
  9. Hi @cyanjiang, sounds great. I'll get you a set of translation files soon, hopefully tonight. I'll send them to your email. :)
  10. Great to hear Derek. I'm excited to put it in a game cabinet. I'm saving up...hoping that by Christmas I'll have the funds I need to build one for myself. :)
  11. Glad to hear it @satchmo321. I got your error report, so I'll look into that shortly.
  12. Cool; I'll be sure to update/add all the new platforms to Big Box before the official release. Also need to update the platform alternate names list.
  13. It looks right to me, but I haven't used Retroarch for Turbografx 16. Perhaps something else is required in the command line for TurboGrafx 16?
  14. Ah, okay. So it's not a glitch with the latest. Not sure; I can't seem to replicate it.
  15. This should only happen if the download is somehow corrupted. It should hopefully work right if you just try it again.
  16. Hi Raven, I still need to add an icon to the setup. But if you load up BigBox.exe instead of LaunchBox.exe, that will take you directly to Big Box.
  17. Odd. Could be a bug introduced with all the platforms changes, I suppose. Are you able to replicate it with a new install?
  18. Sure; I'll add that to my list. Though, I still think that different platforms should probably be handled with different games.
  19. I'm currently uploading a new beta on hotel Internet, and it's taking forever, but it'll probably be out by the time you read this. The last couple of days I've been squashing bugs and adding little necessities, like About, version display, etc. I fixed the issues with Page Up and Page Down as well. We're getting really close now to the official release; I will not be adding any more features to either Big Box or LaunchBox before the release; it's just bugs to kill at this point. Of course, development will continue for the next release. That said, please report any bugs you find in the latest beta. We've changed a lot for 5.0, so I want to have at least a week of testing before putting out the release.
  20. Hi @Klamp, welcome. Unfortunately I don't keep a change log for betas because it would just be too much work and would slow me down from actual development. However, usually if I don't update this thread, I'm just squashing bugs, but I guess not always. Regardless, new things have almost always been discussed at some point in this thread.
  21. Hi @Cabirus, I have an algorithm in place that tries to guess between differing names, but it only works if no other images are found. I did this for performance reasons. In other words, if it finds an image with a proper name, it doesn't look for additional images with improper names. Is this what is happening? Can you give me some examples of games/images that aren't matching up? Per your second suggestion, yeah, that would be cool. The trouble is identifying which games truly are the same game, and which aren't, etc. When we eventually get to creating our own database, we can set it up this way, which should make this possible going forward.
  22. Hi Raven, that's somewhat of an unusual situation, so there's not really a good automatic solution. You can add them one at a time pretty easily though, assuming there's not a lot of them. Just point the application path to the shortcut.
  23. @bd00, none of the images are being pulled properly from Dropbox (they're requiring you to sign in, and so they're not displayed on the page). I've removed some of them for now.
  24. Thanks, Mark. Looks like a great start. I'll see if I can come up with a solution for the images.
  25. Welcome @raven_rvz01, and thanks for the purchase. :) @SentaiBrad's right, unfortunately. It's not impossible to have an overlay on games, but it's extremely difficult and error-prone. I agree that it would be really useful. We might try and tackle it down the line when we start running out of ideas. ;)
