    Steam Controller

Yeah, I imagined anything N64+ would have issues. Shame to hear it is so bad. Multiplayer Mario Kart is definitely what makes the game. My youngest brothers first (own, not a pass down) console was an N64 and every time I went round the first thing he would say to me was "Mario Kart or Goldeneye?" We had some great times on those two games and the best part was the whole family got involved, even Mum & Dad, they were just as addicted as we were. I even set up a pair of TV's linked to one console, blocked off half the screen on each with cardboard and we split into two teams so we couldn't see each others screens. Good times. I also was surprised when I first tried PPSSPP, I remember thinking "Wow, this is good!" it really does port well to the big screen, considering. @Jason Will report back when I get it. It is still a few months away though. Looking forward to trying it, I like the concept and really hope it 'is as practical'/'works' as stated. I have yet to find a decent (couch) replacement for the mouse/trackball and keyboard as of yet and my fingers are crossed that this is finally it. This is a big deal for Steam, this controller could literally make or break (or at least a great big dent) the whole Steam OS/Box thing. I am eager to see how this whole thing turns out.

    Doom 4

Yeah, some great stuff at E3. Also, I have fond memories of all the DOOM games, hopefully this one will uphold that tradition.

Wow that is a lot of controller hardware you have there dos. I just use X360 for Windows pads these days. They are fully supported by Windows and work with the most games, out of the box, no configuration required. I have a bunch of old console controllers that I used to use, with those cheap Chinese converters (-USB), when playing emulators, but I don't bother these days. Maybe on occasions where I am feeling extra nostalgic. I love the idea of a mobile games machine like you described, it is something I have considered several times, but just never got round to it. Maybe one day. How do you find the emulation for Android? I have very little experience with it.
  5. Cadet Stimpy said bd000 said Angry ex maybe? Well, she's certainly capable of that. When I got divorced, the cops were involved, and they had to use handcuffs (but not on me). But that's another story. Wow, sorry. Cadet Stimpy said My bike has been recovered! Super-annoying part: The hospital had it the whole friggin’ time! First, I’d like to apologize for blaming the now-known-to-be-fictitious bike thief, but after numerous inquiries to the hospital, police, fire department, and ambulance people, everyone was claiming they didn’t have it, so I assumed it had been stolen. I eventually made one final round of calls, and learned the hospital had it, but had ‘misplaced’ it (for several days). Really??? According to one of the security supervisors I spoke to there, their protocols for these types of things are going to be revamped, so some good may come out of it. My car dealership wouldn’t take the fancy-pants key-fob back (since it’s now ‘used’), but they did give me a $70 ‘store credit’, which is certainly better than nothing. Glad to hear you got your bike back. Hopefully they will get their protocols sorted.
  6. YeeHaww! Yippee ki-yay! How about this one: Teenage monkey's and ninja turtles. Also, we have a drive through safari not to far from where we live. On our last visit, a monkey sat on our bonnet (hood) and took a leak. My son thought it was hilarious as did I. The wife made me clean the car as soon as we got home, just in case it might damage the paint work. It did smell very potent.

Yes low latency Bluetooth. If you prefer a wired connection, you can connect it to your PC using the USB cable. Also, the API will actually allow up to 16 controllers to be connected to a single machine. Pretty pointless I guess, at least for 99.99% of situations, but who knows what the future will bring.

I have pre-ordered one of these. I was wondering if any of you are planning to get one, or have pre ordered one already. What are your thoughts on it? I am looking forward to trying it out.
  9. I have added some HD platform fanarts (1920x1080 - 16:9 aspect ratio) to the repository. Also added some other images that were missing.
  10. Also Jason, that entire thing was my fault. I just want to clear that up.
  11. Thanks for clearing things up. I really hope a local scraper makes it into LB, I think it would be a mistake to leave it out. But that is just my opinion, I'm sure many others disagree.
  12. I don't think so, at least from my experience. I would need to bulk edit a handful of games and not necessarily the entire platform. But that's just me.

    Play time?

I could create a script for play time using the additional apps feature. Might not be 100% accurate, but a ball park figure is better than none at all, right? Like you, I always have LB terminated when loading a game, so this whole playtime feature would be useless for me anyway. I would incorporate it into my launch scripts if I really wanted it. To be honest, I'm not that fussed, but I'm happy to help ps4 and anyone else who wants this.

    Play time?

How does LB determine when an game/emulator is closed, to run the (after) additional app?
  15. Wow, a lot of content there ps4. It looks really interesting, I will check it out when I get time.
  16. Thanks again Martin and 25 ain't bad. You're almost there!
  17. lol. If your reading this Jason, don't respond. Enjoy your holiday. @DOS76 lol. I love kissing and making up.
  18. +1 Also, will there be options with the LBDB? If you have ever used media management apps, like MediaElch, EmberMM, etc. When getting the artwork they allow you to either download all automatically or choose from a selection of artwork to find the one you prefer. This allows multiple covers for a single game, then the user has the option to download the defaults, or pick from a selection.

    Play time?

If it was going to be a script it wouldn't be batch. LB already knows when a game/emulator starts and finishes you wouldn't need a timer, just timestamps at those two points. You can use the additional apps feature (before and after) and grab the time it started (run before) and the time it finished (run after), then calculate the play time. The hardest part is getting it into the XML.
