  1. eric said is their a way to have bigbox in a windowed mode for editing pic's and refreshing basic editing with out exiting and a restart? thanks.... @eric yes just switch to desktop mode this brings up LaunchBox where you can do your editing, when finished just click on BigBox top right in LaunchBox see image
  2. @Jason thank you Jason all items working fast and fluid no problems to report thus far on this beta
  3. @Jason sorry forgot to include its the same as other platforms in recent for Neo Geo and Neo Geo Pocket Color @DOS76 glad you worked it out.
  4. @DOS76 shrink down LaunchBox before updating and open task manager and close down all the running/offending applications then close LaunchBox. When you re-open LaunchBox you should be able to update.
  5. I havnt seen this happen but just copy images folder from your backup and paste them into the main images folder.
  6. @Jason all working extremly well and another slight speed increase, except for the recent list in BigBox will try and explain this a lot better this time apologies for not doing so earlier. Sony Playstation 2 games will show up in the recent list of Sony Playstation but not vice versa ie Sony Playstation games will not show up in the recent list of Sony Playstation 2. Sega Naomi 2 games will show up in the recent list of Sega Naomi but not vice versa ie Sega Naomi games will not show up in the recent list of Sega Naomi 2. And finally Nintendo Gameboy Color and Nintendo Gameboy Advance will show up in the recent list of Nintendo Gameboy, but not vice versa Nintendo Gameboy games will not show up in the recent list of Nintendo Gameboy Color or Nintendo GameboyAdvance.
  7. Wow totally sick, yes SentaiBrad totally agree with you glad it was stopped this world is geting crazily scary.
  8. The thing that is very weird is that the Fanart (2) folder was created 4 days before the Fanart folder
  9. I on the other hand really like the BigBox mode and so does my daughter as do lots of other people, but saying that i use LaunchBox primarily for setting up functions so BigBox works in the intelligent and wonderful fashion that it does and rely on and respect the judgement of its creator who has brought them both up to and beyond the level that any other frontend can offer thus far, and as always eagerly await his wonderful thought process bringing both LaunchBox and BigBox forward and looking forward to all the new and wonderful features he adds to both.
  10. Jason Carr said Ah, good to know, Martin, thanks. @DOS76 and @Maddoc1007, glad it's fixed for you guys, but if it's still messed up for some configurations, I need to know so I can fix it. What did you guys change to fix it and what causes it to be messed up for beta 5? @Jason sorry wasnt on as have daughter with me this week, still is for ScummVm the small writing however if you set its graphics to see below it sorts its out and stops small writing all other platforms are perfect see image For Handy emuator make sure its set to normal mode (fullscreen) and for VisualBoy Advance make sure its set to other full screen no setting emulators to 800x600 or under. As for the the mixing up of recent games in BigBox cannot sort that out only happens in platforms that have the same name followed by a number. ie naomi naomi 2 or by another word/words ie Nintendo Gameboy, Nintendo Gameboy Colour or Nintendo Gameboy Advance.
  11. @Jason just noticed in current beta in BigBox under Platforms that 3 of the platforms are mixing the recent games, Sony Playstation - Sony Playstation 2 Sega Naomi - Sega Naomi 2 Nintendo GameBoy - Nintendo GameBoy Color Possibly because of the same first and second name, those are only ones i have seen it for is posible could have been in previous beta but i hadnt noticed it. see screenshot:
  12. @Jason all working well now no artifacts in any emulator or platform Thumbs up such fast fix
  13. Oh and missed one handy emulator is causing shrinkage as well and can definately say its only emulators that dont allow setting of desktop resolution, well im off lol
  14. @Jason and seems fixed for ProSystem as well as no shrinking of words etc now only one it does it for on win7 now is scummvm
  15. @Jason just before i go thought you might like to know it is fixed for visualboy advance
  16. @Jason just tried the beta yes same for the platforms that dont allow to set desktop resolution but the transitions are a bit faster and smoother thought kudos The devs of scummvm should put in a setting for setting screen resolutions into it
  17. @Jason the emulators that give the trouble dont have a setting ie visual boy advance and scummvm for setting resolution the same as desktop resolution
  18. @Jason i think SentaiBrad is right its to do with the resolution you have emulator set at that overides the computer resolution temporarily the reason i wasnt having the problem with kat5200 was i had my resolution set to my screen resolution see screenshot So set emulators to the nearest to your screen resolution you can get to avoid the distortions
  19. @Jason also tried Snes9x, System16dx, Modeler, Demul 057 and 07a, PPSSPP and still no distortion of any kind except what i showed earlier.
  20. also i would advise that anyone having problems make sure they have these installed
  21. @Jason tried all these emulators blueMSX, Dolphin, DosBox, Emulator, ePSXe, Fusion, Handy, KAT5200, Kega Fusion, Mame, Mame 0137b and 0138b, Neo Pop, Nestopia, nullDC, PCSX2, Project 64 ver 2.2, ProSystem, SuperModel, Virtual Jaguar and Visual Bot Advance, and no distortion or stretching except when you exit out of game in ScummVM, Visual Boy Advance and ProSystem you get shrinkage in the writing momentarily when you press escape or go back key on keyboard its fine again see below image:-
  22. Ha figured out why pcsx2 wasnt fully closeing down i forgot the --nogui silly me. To get PCSX2 games running now without ahk's or scripts follow this: Create seperate folders for each game inside roms folder, opened up pcsx2 then setup my controls and everything else inside pcsx2 then launched a game. played game a bit to make sure it was working well then exited out of game, esc to exit emulator. Then i went to ini folder and copied the ini's inside it, then i pasted said ini's inside the game folder for the game i had played (you must do this for each game in order to have seperate configs for that game). Then i went into LaunchBox clicked on add game showed it where my iso was then picked emulator checked add custom command line parametres, then typed --nogui --fullscreen --cfgpath="the name of the roms folder\the name of the game folder" which would look like this: --nogui --fullscreen --cfgpath="roms\indiana jones" Hope this works well for all
  23. @orac31 your welcome, thats thing i like about this site we all help each other, now imagine if the world was like that?
  24. @orac31 i dont know about daphneloader but for scummvm see below image for setting up scummvm games, as i think a picture paints a 1000 words ps you dont need to pick game under launcher or an emulator under emulation tab
  25. @orac31 i have show console unchecked as well but esc just closes the game not the emulator, which is handy for finetuning settings. Then just as easy to press esc then alt+f4 am using the latest git from pcsx2 forum and find it plays games well just that it doesnt close down the emulator with escape but no biggie using the esc button and then alt+f4 which closes down the background processes. And with the above way of setting up the games folders as i described earlier and the ini's and custom command i no longer need ahk's or scripts to launch games.
