Happy New Year! And thanks for the new beta. It definitely seems faster. One thing I noticed is there are 2 disabled options under "Tools" -> "File Management". 1) Change ROMs Folder Path for Selected Games... 2) Export/Copy ROM Files from Selected Games to New Folder... When I select a bunch of games to change their folder path, those options remain greyed out and unclickable. I may be doing something wrong, but I don't remember this behavior from previous versions.

I noticed a minor issue when downloading media on import or updating via menu. The Emumovies section (Image 1) does not offer screenshot options for "Game Over", "Game Select", "Game Title" or "Game High Scores". The Launchbox section does though (Image 2). But when editing a single game and downloading media those screenshot options do show in the Emumovies tab (Image 3).

I really like this new feature from the poll! New Feature: You can now limit how many images you wish to download per image group in the Download Metadata and Media Wizard as well as in the various import wizards (community poll Item #5) Would someone explain what "per image group" means? I'm not clear on how it decides on what to grab. As an example, I like to set the limit to 1. I noticed on a system like Atari 2600, it will pull 1 image from each screenshot category (ex. gameplay, title, game over, etc.) which is great. But on a system like Arcade, it will just pull 1 screenshot image total so you miss out from the other screenshot categories. Thanks for your time!

Thanks for the fixes. Minor tidbit: when in the associated platforms of an emulator, it's no longer possible to click a column name to sort by that column. For example, if you click on the associated platforms column name, it no longer switches the sort order by ASC / DESC. Noticed this started in v12.0 beta 3

A few minor items I've noticed in v12.0 beta 2: When downloading media for an individual game, the LB DB no longer populates first while waiting for the EmuMovies list of media It doesn't show the list of media for either until it queries both LB and EmuMovies. When adding an associated platform to Retroarch in the "Managed Emulators" section, it no longer auto-populates the platform name based on your current platforms Previously, you could type a letter and it would list the current platforms that started with that letter In the "Managed Emulators" section, Retroarch associated platforms show as "Missing Core File" even if the core exists and is installed

Hi. Figured it was probably my setup. Thanks for the reply and congrats on joining the LB team!

In 11.12, I've noticed the Game Startup theme "exit" screen doesn't show for Mame when exiting a game. The game just closes and goes back to BigBox or LaunchBox. (It works fine with Retroarch though.) I've doubled checked my settings and tried out various Game Startup themes (including the 11.12 default.) No luck. I'm trying to rule out if it's my Mame installation or not. Can anyone else confirm? Thx.

@C-BeatsGreat! Thanks for the work around. And sorry about not being more specific. I'll remember that in the future.

Has anyone been getting this error when trying to create a playlist in beta 7? Object reference not set to an instance of an object. @Jason CarrThanks so much for fixing the retro achievements leaderboard in Big Box. Working great!
-
@C-BeatsGreat! Nice work. Looking forward to the fix. Thanks!

Hi. In the Retro Achievements profile window, the "Global Leaderboard" tab is blank in BigBox. It's working in Launchbox though. See images below (or this thread: Retro Achievements Global Leaderboard missing in BigBox)

Thanks for the tip and info. I'll post in the beta thread and link to this as well. -

Currently using the latest beta for 11.12 and still no luck with the BigBox Retro Achievements Leaderboard populating. It works in Launchbox though. Is anyone else having this issue? It's cool to see the top achievement earners and then my rank at the bottom. lol -
Hi. I noticed the other day that the global leaderboard for RetroAchievements is not working for me in BigBox. Anyone else having this issue? It works fine in Launchbox (and my profile / achievement show up in both). I'm running version 11.6 with the Default theme (didn't work in the Unified theme either).

Wolf_: Thanks so much for the quick reply. I'm new to this more complex type of emulating. Hopefully, I can get it working! I can't wait to play Castle Wolfenstein and Parsec! Fond memories from when I was a kid...

Wow! Great thread and tutorial! Anyone have a setup for Apple II and / or Texas Instruments (TI-99)?
-
First, I would like to say thanks for the great videos! I really found the tutorial for setting up MAME via Retroarch very useful. Since MAME now supports all MESS systems; would it be possible to do a part 2 tutorial on running these via Retroarch and Launchbox (ex. Apple II, Intellivision, TI-99, etc.)? I've done a bunch of online research to no avail. I haven't figured out the correct folder structure for bios and roms. Thanks again for the great tutorials and amazing frontend!

Great! Looking forward to that. Thanks for the info.

Hey guys. Wondering if anyone else is having this issue with MAME import. When adding roms, I noticed all the images from both LB database and EmuMovies aren't downloaded during the initial setup. Once a rom has been added, if I edit a game and click the 'download images' button, it grabs a bunch more (not duplicates). Unfortunately, when selecting multiple games and going to "Tools - Download Metadata and Images" and choosing the "do not replace any existing fields", it doesn't grab the missing images either. Obviously, it would take too much time to edit / download images for each game separately. Any tricks to get all the images to download?

5.4 image download working great. Up next add MAME roms. And I will be purchasing premium soon!
-
Images working great in 5.3! Gotta update to 5.4. Thanks for the great release!

You're welcome. Fixed already?! That rocks! Can't wait to import my collection!
