Do your own build but please do not discuss those pre configured builds on the internet. They are illegal and often come from shady sites and you do not know what kind of software is bundled with them. Also this forum section is not for the discussion of such builds, it is here for people to show off their own. Thread locked. -

From what I remember and I could be remembering wrong CG is an Nvidia proprietary shader language where the devs and most people prefer open source cross platform which is why OpenGL and Vulkan is the more preferred shaders.

This error means that you are using a pirated license or you edited your license. If you edited your license you can restore from a backup copy of your license or request a new one. If you pirated the license then you can simply purchase a legitimate license and drop it in your LB folder and everything will be as it was. If you feel there is some other error you can email support@unbrokensoftware.com

Just tested a7800 v5.2 with a No-Intro rom and it worked perfectly.

If you have a full rom set use the full set importer, just be sure to use a matching rom set and mame version. You can import the roms like other typical systems if you like but the full set importer is recommended if you have a full set. Use the normal ROM import if you have a smaller hand-picked ROM set.

Well as I said, the graphics should look the same in eSPXe, Mednafen and Duckstation unless you have some video settings changed or using shaders. With 3D games you can up the internal resolution scaling with ePSXe, Duckstation and the Beetle/Mednafen HW core in Retroarch. This will make 3D games look sharper but 2D sprite based games with still look pixelated.

I merged threads since this didn't need a new one. Yeah, Beetle / Mednafen requires your games to be in cue + bin format or CHD. Beetle / Mednafen and Swanstation / Duckstation are bother solid and are the best options. Neither is objectively better than the other in any meaningful way though a lot of people are on the Duckstation / Swanstation hype train. ePSXe is solid and looks the same as the other emulators unless you have some weird video settings going on.

Arcade versions of games will always look better than their console ports. We have a couple of threads here on the forums with recommended cores for different systems.

Look for the mednafen psx core. It's the same core but in the RA GUI it's called Beetle but the core name is called Mednafen.

There might be something screwy with your settings making it look worse than it should. SNES, Genesis, TG16, NES and Mame games from the late 80s to early 90s all should look relatively similar.

This means the license you have is pirated. Purchase a legit license and drop it in your LB folder to replace the pirated one.

Netplay requires you to have the exact rom that the server you are connecting to is using. The rom file needs to have matching md5 checksums otherwise it does not work.

You can't search by recently played as far as I am aware of but certain themes and or views of themes will show recently played games in each platform. Alternatively you can create an "auto populated" playlist to show you recent games.

It's just Opera which is based off Chrome with some gimmicky "gamer" crap added on to it.
