The original design is best so far.
I like minimal themes as well but minimal does not remove everything, it means removing unnecessary shit and keeping the design simple.
The platform name you import the games to in LB need to be named the same in the associated platforms section of the edit emulator window. If there is a difference in the names it won't work.
Well if you know all you need is a CPU and GPU and you know your budget then its easy to figure out what to buy. Get the CPU that is compatible with your motherboard and balance your budget between the two components.
You can use this website here: https://www.userbenchmark.com to compare components performance.
Did you re-apply a non edited license ? Remove the edited license from your LB folder and put the unedited one in the LB folder.
If you did and is still not working or you do not have an unedited license then you need to email support, they are the only people who can resolve license related issues.
No, Launchbox doesn't add any registry entries as far as I am aware.
I would suggest re-applying a backup of your license if you have one, from your email if you still have it. Otherwise email support@unbrokensoftware.com and request they re-send you your license.
Modifying the license will break it.
I don't know what your "ethical purposes" are but you are allowed to use your license on all of the computers you own.
This means you are using a pirated license.
If you believe this is a mistake email support@unbrokensoftware.com or you can purchase legitimate license.
My advice is to pick a system you want to emulate and work with that first, for example start with NES. Typically cart based systems are easiest to get setup and they usually do not require any extra files beyond the roms themselves to get it working. CD based systems most often require bios files to work and arcade like Mame it is highly recommended to get a full set of roms that match the version of Mame being used.
Start with a simple system and get it setup and working properly the way you want it to first, then move on to the next system you want to emulate and so on. For each system you can look up the tutorial guide on YouTube to help you out.
The first rule of thumb is always this. Get your games working in the emulator outside of Launchbox first. Once you know the games are working them import them into LB. This way if they don't work through LB it is easier to troubleshoot the issue.
First off, I did not ban you, someone else did.
Second, we don't have a list of rules but generally speaking going off on a psychotic tirade about killing people shouldn't have to be listed as one of the things you cannot do.
Unfortunately there is no fix for slow internet short of moving to get better internet or better internet service being made available. I found the seedbox solution worked best and I even still keep my seedbox now that I am on gigabit speed internet.
No grey are at all.
Yes, your downloads would still be coming in at your slow internet speeds but you can pick and choose what you want to get. For example downloading an entire 70 gig Mame set would take days but if you use a seedbox it would download to it much faster and then you can pick and choose which files you download from the seedbox. I would suggest using a Non Merged Mame set in this example because a single zip file from the set is a fully working game and with my hand picked set of approx 450 Mame games it is less than 4 gigs in size which is much easier to download on a slow internet connection.
This is not ideal but it is better than trying to download a full Mame set on a slow internet connection.
I use Feral seedbox currently.
