  1. The latest downloadable core now as overclocking and sprite limit removal options. Though it is recommended for now to leave the clock set to 100% and the sprite removal to off and to only adjust those settings on a per-game basis and per game override for games that benefit it. Certain games may run into issues, one such issue is the title screen of Sonic the Hedgehog, notice his body showing over top of the Sonic banner. Master System games will certainly benefit more from these features than the Genesis.
  2. Wish I had an answer for you because if you remove all the roms from that platform in LB the platform will disappear and you can just simply rename the platform as I showed with screenshots on the previous page. I will tag @Jason Carr and maybe he has something he can add to help out. The only thing I got left to say is if you are using a beta version is to go back to a stable version.
  3. If you removed the games from the platform you no longer want it shouldn't be there. But since it is there you either didn't remove the games or you have something extra strange going on.
  4. Did you select all the games in the platform in Launchbox and delete them ?
  5. Maybe, I don't know because you appear to be having a weird issue that no one else that I am aware of has run into.
  6. My xml file would have all the paths for my roms so it would be useless to you. If you re-import your roms it will generate a new one for you.
  7. Remove your games from Launchbox, delete the Nintendo Super Nintendo Entertainment System folder from your Launchbox\Images folder and reimport them. Or rename the Nintendo Super Nintendo Entertainment System to the new name you want and reimport the games to that platform name.
  8. Remove all your SNES games from Launchbox and re-import them to the new platform name you want. But simply renaming the platform works for me.
  9. No idea what to tell you, I just tried it and it works. Here is a before and after screen cap.
  10. 2 more things marked off the list today with the latest beta. Windows shortcut files can now be imported without selecting an emulator. The platform in the import wizard is now auto selected based on the current selected platform.
  11. You might be able to use one of the switching apps with the additional apps tool in Launchbox. If you edit a game you will see the Additional Apps tab, in there you can have programs run before or after a game loads or closes. The downside is that it has to be done on a per game basis.
  12. You could probably use a resolution switching utility to change the resolution using the additional apps though that would be cumbersome if you have a lot of PS2 games. There may be an AHK script to do it but I am not familiar enough with AHK scripts to know if that is something in its capabilities. Just a side thought out of curiosity though, does PCSX2 run fine for you using a software renderer at native resolution ?
  13. It's possible Mame pushes your CPU pretty hard. I use a lowly Radeon 7800 series card (1 gig gddr5 vram) in my shitty HTPC and it handles any shader without issue but I also don't use RA Mame on it, I use stand alone Mame with HLSL and it's fine for the most part. The more modern and CPU heavy games like Caves shooter hit it pretty good.
  14. Probably the easiest way is to have a custom setting in PCSX2 itself and the easiest way to that in my opinion is using Spectabis.
  15. If a shader is impacting performance it is most likely your video card. I use stand alone Mame for ColecoVision.
  16. You most likely either have your associated platforms set incorrectly for the emulator or you haven't changed the emulator for your games which you need to do with the bulk edit tool because Nestopia works perfectly fine with Launchbox.
  17. There is boxart out there that you can set to use with the rom hack, the more popular ones have them.
  18. Are you trying to use the stand alone version or Retroarch ? I know the stand alone can be a little funky with controller setup but nothing too far out of the ordinary, I recommend Retroarch and the Snes9x core in it if BSnes is too taxing. And it is I who loves the Hori Fight Commander but I have no idea how well it plays with an Nvidia Shield. For any games that doesn't require an analog stick it cannot be beat if you don't want to muck about with crappy d-pads and USB converters.
  19. Yeah the "nuked opn2" setting is a real hit to the CPU but having it set to "mame" with the low pass filter at 40% is really close and very good.
