  1. You can add any emulator you like, just use the Manage Emulators found in the Tools menu. Then click Add at the bottom left. Call it what you want and point it to the emulators executable file. Then input the platforms you wish to be able to use this emulator with and the appropriate command line parameters if necessary in the Associated Platforms tab. And since you mentioned PPSSPP here are the screenshots of mine. Not an oversight after all
  2. If it is now running stable for you this would be my first guess as to what actually fixed it. Just my guess though.
  3. Well since I am not exactly one to keep my opinions to myself very often I am going to comment here. While I agree that Jasons post was a bit harsh I do agree with what he is saying in general. If you start out a post with "I'm gonna get flamed" then it might just be best to not post it. You said that development had really dropped off over the last few months and that is simply not true at all. It only slowed down over the last couple of months and like I explained that was due to website and server work which needed to be done along with Jason taking some summer time with his wife and kids. Jason also never called you "garbage" he simply said your comment was. I personally would not have suggested that Jason posted in such a harsh manner but having said that I cannot say I wouldn't have done so myself depending on my mood at the time.
  4. You can probably convert them to cue + bin but right off the top of my head I couldn't tell you the exact steps to do it.
  5. Here are the settings I use for the 2 default video plugins that come with ePSXe. If you are having problems beyond that I don't know what to tell you with regards to ePSXe. If you want to use Retroarch then you will need to get disk images that it supports.
  6. Does ePSXe not load ? Does it crash when you load it ? Or does it crash when loading a game ? You have to set the CPU overclocking to 1.
  7. Retroarch needs the games to be in the formats in the screenshot, straight up iso files are no good. cue, toc, m3u, ccd, exe and pbp ePSXe does work with Windows 8, 8.1 and 10. Have you tried the 2.0.5 release of it.
  8. I suppose there could be something with BigBox causing Retroarch performance issues but I run BigBox on a pretty low end PC with only 2 gigs of ram and it doesn't cause any issues with Retroarch at all.
  9. Did it drop off some ? Yes, but not as much as it appears on the surface. There was a lot of website and database work done which is not immediately visible. Also it was the summer and Jason needed to take some time with the wife and kids. Also keep in mind this beta is just the changes for this beta which was work done this week. You could say that about a lot of changes that are to come but the list of things to be done is a mile long and everyone has their own personal thoughts on what should be prioritized. This is what happens when you have 1 full time and 1 part dev for a niche product that simply doesn't make enough money to hire a team of developers.
  10. Get it here: https://kasumi.itch.io/indivisible Looks and plays pretty good, now if someone could make a nice media package with box art for it
  11. @Cauptain great job of cherry picking the most demanding games but you can indeed run those games at 1080p 60fps on a 1050ti if you turn down some of the more demanding effects. Like I said, I run games like GTA 5 and Witcher 3 at 1440 with some tweaks on a lowly 970 with its 3.5/4 gigs of VRam. Not everything needs to be running at max settings to be more than enjoyable with very little noticeable difference in graphics. @hoosier1 there is no question a 1070 would be the preferred card and if I were building a PC today it is the one I would choose to put in my system. But I am not building a system today because I have no need to build one right now. I run an AMD 8350 cpu with an Nvidia 970 graphics card and it handles modern games at 1440p 60fps+ with some settings tweaks. The difference between Ultra and Very high is barely even noticeable when actually playing a game in terms of looks. Yeah, sure you can tell the difference if you take screen shots and study them up close but in motion actually playing the game no. Just turn off settings like Ambient Occlusion, Depth of Field and dial back the anti aliasing a little, 2x is plenty. Those are generally the biggest frame rate hits bit different games may use extra post processing effects that have a sever impact as well. The Witcher 3 for example has hairworks which murders even the most high end systems when its set to max. It's your budget, build within it now and in 6 months to a year from now you want a bit more power throwing a 1070 or even a 1080 in there would be a worthy upgrade. You certainly won't be bottle necking the new graphics card with the hardware you are putting into it.
  12. I will concede though if the OP is willing to spend the extra money on a 1070 then I would recommend he do it but that is an extra 300$ roughly. It's not my vision, it's the OPs. He clearly has put the system he thinks within his budget, though to be fair he never mentioned anything about a budget. He asked if that computer would be fine for emulation and AAA games and yes it would be perfectly fine for most every AAA PC game at 1080p 60fps but certain higher end games may need a couple of tweaks to get a solid 60fps. But you jumping in and arbitrarily tacking on an extra 400$ to his build based on what you don't believe is enough and you happen to be incorrect about is just bad. If he needs to upgrade his graphics card later it is very simple to do so, but only if he decides he needs to. Not everyone is willing to plop down the same amount of money in one go as you or even I would do. It's called a budget.
  13. Damn while were at it, get a 1080 and 512 GB SSD and 32 gigs of ram, better make it 3 1080s. Its really easy spending someone elses money.
  14. The 1050TI is fine for 60 FPS on the vast majority of games, yeah you might have to tweak a few settings for certain really taxing games but it will do it. If that isn't enough for the OP the he can easily upgrade to whatever card he is willing to spend the money on. So yeah you saying that a 1050ti is no good is bullshit. I use a shitty (by todays standards) 970 at 1440 and get 60 fps and better. No one is saying to play at 30 fps and the 1050ti at 1080p will do 60 fps on the vast majority of games with some tweaks if necessary.
  15. Video card has little to no effect on the raw emulation speed. Even a shitty on board video will give you 60 fps in emulation.
  16. For 1080p gaming the 1070 is way overkill and a lot more money. It's something easily upgraded later though if necessary.
  17. Its packaged in BigBox now. As for modifying and creating themes there. a documentation.pdf file in the Themes folder and I believe there is a tutorial video on the Youtube channel and im sure some of the theme creators around here are willing to help out.
  18. Yeah it might be a case of Windows still doing shit in the back ground. I was thinking maybe if it was seemingly random through out gameplay in Mame that maybe turning the "sleep" option off. What that option does is it throttles the CPU when Mame doesn't need all the CPU power to play a game but when it hits a point in the game where it needs more power it ramps the CPU back up and this can cause stutter issues.
  19. Agreed it could use an overhaul but it's also something that would be extremely tricky to do. Most, if not all PC games have multiple executable files so which one does the scan pick up as the game.exe ? You do not want to accidentally use the uninstaller and you don't want to run the launcher executable. Right now the best and recommended way to import your PC games is to put shortcuts to your games in a folder and import those shortcut files as your "rom" files. Now this process can be cleaned up in Launchbox by allowing the choice of "no emulator" on import instead how of it is right now where you have to pick one and then after the import bulk edit the games to remove the emulator. There will be another poll once the current one is cleaned up along with more of the "small things" list.
  20. yeah, but if you want faster and it's not much more then by all means go for it but you wont be seeing any difference in gaming
0/5 for not being uploaded last night when the rom hit the net Just kidding, great job on getting this up so fast.
