  1. If you are having troubles we have a ton of guides on the YouTube channel, a ton more here on the forums and we have the discord channel to help people out with any issues. Launchbox is one of if not the easiest frontend to get setup and working.
  2. Try scraping as NEC TurboGrafx-16. Also leave your attitude at the door.
  3. You can but do not include your license file or it may end up black listed and no longer functioning.
  4. Easy to do with playlists, just right click a game you wish to add to a playlist and name the playlist something to represent it, ie: Billys Favourites. Then from there make new playlists for each person.
  5. Launchbox has a premium feature which lets you bind a controller button combo to send the escape key command to the currently running emulator (or other commands if you set up an autohotkey script for it). This will exit Retroarch, if you don't have a premium license then you need to use the escape key on your keyboard or use the controllers "guide" button (ie: Xbox button) to bring up the quick menu and use that menu to close Retroarch.
  6. In BigBox go to Options > General. There is a setting there for which monitor is your primary display.
  7. Unfortunately I cannot help with that situation, I Just have a wireless Xbox controller.
  8. Disable the Xbox Game Bar, it's useless. I posted in the other thread you started about this topic.
  9. By default the guide / xbox button should bring up the F1 menu in Retroarch.
  10. https://www.minitool.com/news/disable-windows-10-xbox-game-bar-001.html I have never had an issue with any controller bringing up the Xbox bar.
  11. You can do it but if you are having to use different cores for your arcade games I would highly recommend getting a much better set of arcade roms. The only reason you would need to use different cores for each game is because your set is a mixed and matched from various versions. If you have a complete set of the same version then you can pick the core that matches that set and it will work. We also recommend using stand alone Mame over the Retroarch Mame cores.
  12. Yeah it's not something I have ever experienced but I have never tried to go back from CHD to another format. I have only read that it can be a problem on occasion, not that it's a common issue. Good to know that you haven't had any issues converting back from CHD and you have done it a lot, gives more confidence in it being a non issue.
  13. CHD is great as along as the emulator supports but if a new (better) emulator comes a long and doesn't support CHD it can be problematic converting back to cue + bin. From what I have heard people say it can be very hit or miss when it comes to converting back to cue + bin. Just something to keep in mind.
  14. No problem, but in any case if your disk image has multiple bin files they should be kept that way or converted to chd.
  15. Again, your disk images should only be 1 cue per game disk (not game). If you have multiple cue files for a single disk (not game) then you disk image is crap and should be replaced. If you have good disk images (ie: ReDump) then each game disk will only have a single cue + bin(s). Also, generally speaking games with multiple bin files should be kept that way, merging the bins into a single bin can break the game. It won't necessarily break the game to make it unplayable but it can break audio or other parts of a game, they are broken into bin files for a reason. CDMage has had only one use in my time with emulation and disk images, and that was to fix busted Saturn images that aren't from ReDump or Dark Water. If you want to convert to make your collection simpler then convert to chd.
  16. This makes no sense. It doesn't help with creating m3u files in any way, m3u files use the cue files only and you aren't reducing the number of cue files. If you are going to go through the hassle of any converting you would be better off converting to .chd which would convert each disk image into a single file. It also wont change how m3u files work either though, you would still be adding each chd file to the m3u file.
  17. Yes. You need to keep the bins with the cue or else they wont work. I would suggest that you have each game in their own folder though, just for organizational reasons. And put multi disk games such as FF VII in a single folder.
  18. You need all of the files, the bins are what contains all of the games data, the cue file tells the emulator what format the disk is. You just want to import the cue file into LB, that is the file the emulator needs to load the game.
  19. There really shouldn't be multiple cue files for a game unless it is a multi disk game such as Final Fantasy 7, those would have a cue file per game disk.
  20. The sliders in game do not save on exit, you need to edit the raster.ini or vector.ini (depending on type of game) manually. That is why I uploaded my files. You can play around with the settings in game but take note of what you got when you get it a way you like and then transfer them to the ini file.
  21. From what I read Retrobat is a fork of EmulationStation which from what I recall is using Retroarch / Libretro. If that is the case then if you use Retroarch in LB you will have access to all of its shaders.
  22. Add any platforms you want to the emulators Associated Platforms list and it should show in the Launch with... menu. So for example if your games are launching with Mame by default and you want RA to be in the Launch with list, add Arcade to the associated platforms for RA but don't check the "default emulator" box.
  23. Retroarch Mame core is based off the official Mame but it does not use Mames HLSL or GLSL shaders. Retroarch has its own shader system and incompatible.
