  1. Wow... I can't seem to find a single game that will load. Is compatibility the same in the standalone, or should I give up?
  2. Which I would know if I read the previous page... *facepalm*. Sorry. I'll try to remember which of mine were Darkwater releases and go from there.
  3. Oh... well, if I change the image type to clear logo in one platform, it changes it in all the platforms. Is there an option or setting I have to change?
  4. Ah, ok... yeah, I only use LaunchBox... BigBox just never worked out for me. Any features that you can match in LaunchBox are appreciated.
  5. Thanks lordmonkus... that fixed the crashes and I have a bios now... but I'm getting the empty CD player screen. Do I need to load the image in Daemon tools?
  6. Thanks, Jason... I just tried to update some and it looks like the sets are still incomplete.
  7. Well, I tried the new Retroarch core and it's crashing... I'm assuming I have the wrong bios setup. If I go to "core information" to get the bios info there is none. Does anyone know what the naming format is and if it's the same bios that's used for Yabause or SSF? *edit* Checked the Retroarch forums... looks like there is zero discussion on this core yet.
  8. So, as cool as I think this feature is... it doesn't seem to be working. If I change the image type in one platform, it still changes them all. Any extra steps I need to take to get this working? Thanks.
  9. I'm so far behind I just had to update to and official and beta release back to back!!! Arrrrrgh! Just wanted to say, I'm not sure when this feature was added, but I really like the ability to set different image types for each platform. Anything to customize by platform is great... thanks for the feature.
  10. Guys... sorry I am so far out of the loop... I had not even run LB for a while and I'm trying to get caught up. Do any of the contributors happen to know if we ever got up to a full MAME set on clear logos?
  11. Oh yeah... been waiting for this.
  12. Thanks... I still haven't set this up, so I will watch your video first.
  13. Thank you, lordmonkus.
  14. Hey guys... I'm getting about 20 emails a day from the new forum... any way to turn this off?
  15. This is probably this #1 modern PC game I am waiting for.
  16. There was an issue about a page ago reported by the Launchbox author, not sure if that is related, but the Lightspeed author hasn't been around for a while. He may be busy with life stuff.

You may have to re-create your mame -listxml on the options tab. I did and still nothing in filter. It could be the same problem I had earlier where I couldn't get a good list file... I had to delete the whole Lightspeed folder and start fresh with the latest version. I would double-check all your paths (rom path, etc) first to make sure they didn't reset somewhow, though.

  19. Also, wondering if there is a way to "clear" a media selection... for instance, I no longer want titles screenshots to show up as my box art in LB... if I clear the folder path in Lightspeed, re-run it and re-open LB, the title screenshots are still there... even after refreshing the images. Is there another way to do it?
  20. SentaiBrad said You might also need to refresh your cache if you supplied the media too. Brad, you were absolutely right... when the images weren't showing up I jumped the gun and thought it was related to the other problem. My apologies and thanks for the help.
  21. It would also be good if LB recognized the art based on it's rom name, since that is the way most stuff is named in the MAME world. If I drop in a set of art files named after the rom file name (as most are) it isn't recognized.
  22. Jason Carr said Hi @Drybonz, the new Scrape As feature is available under Tools > Manage Platforms. That's where you set the Scrape As value in order to download media. Ok... I found the option and it is working. Thanks for fixing that. I appreciate it.
  23. They had been very slow for me right after the database launch, and for the last couple days have been fast again. The last couple beta downloads were a bit zippier than they had been as well.
  24. Jason Carr said - The new "Scrape As" feature has nothing to do with MAME imports. The way the MAME import process works is that it checks for "MAME" as the emulator; it doesn't care what the name of the platform is. The force MAME check box is how you override this, of course. "Scrape As" only applies when downloading metadata and images from the LaunchBox Games Database and/or EmuMovies. Rocketlauncher is the "emulator" for my arcade games. With the new beta nothing has changed for me... I still get no results for downloading images from the database. I don't see the "force MAME" option you mentioned anywhere in the dialog for downloading images. Am I missing something?
  25. Any shader gurus out there?... lordmonkus?
