  1. I'm not sure. I'm at work now but I can check later for you.
  2. No. I couldn't get Retroarch DS to work with Rocketlauncher bezels or the Retroarch overlays. I had to use DeSmuME to get things to line up.
  3. This folder structure makes things confusing.
  4. Wrong folder. Not Rocketlauncher\RocketlauncherUI\Media\Bezels\Nintendo DS\_default Try Rocketlauncher\Media\Bezels\Nintendo DS\_default.
  5. I could probably upload that bezel for you when I get home if you still need it by then.
  6. You should never need to manually edit ahk files in Rocketlauncher. That's what the UI is for.
  7. You need the companion ini file that has the bezel coordinates to go with the bezel. You should have matching files in the bezel\Nintendo DS\_default folder. One should be something like DS.png and the other should be named the same thing like DS.ini. Rocketlauncher will look at whatever is in that folder and will use the png and ini together. If you have several sets of bezels in that folder, Rocketlauncher will randomly choose one to use, each set will need its own unique name. See this page for details how the bezel function works. It explains it better than I can. http://www.rlauncher.com/wiki/index.php?title=Bezels
  8. I'm not sure why they don't fix that link. I had trouble with it as well. I think I used one of the several links posted in this thread before I found one that works. Good luck! http://www.rlauncher.com/forum/downloads.php?do=file&id=2
  9. Yeah I can't remember if it does or not. I use a cabinet that has a trackball so it may be that I used that for the pointer when I tested it. At work right now so I can't test. I couldn't get the screens to line up properly in Retroarch either. I think something is broken in the newer builds that prevent this. There is a screen gap function that I couldn't get to work no matter what I tried. If you get the base media pack for Rocketlauncher, I think it has that bezel art. The art would go in the rocketlauncher\media\bezels\Nintendo DS\_default folder. Then it is simply a matter of turning the bezel on in the RLUI.
  10. I think I'm using that same bezel and background art on my setup. I couldn't get Retroarch to play nice however and stuck with DeSmuME via Rocketlauncher for the emulator.
  11. I created a tutorial of sorts a couple weeks ago that shows how to integrate Rocketlauncher with Bigbox. The tutorial is pretty basic, but it should help get you started. Simply Austin has done some tutorials as well. The RetroHumanoid guy has some cool Rocketlauncher art that he has made available to download but I haven't seen any tutorials from him yet. Learning how to work with the fade screens and pause menus can be a bit daunting at first because there are so many options but if you like to mess around endlessly setting things up, you should have no trouble!
  12. I created a short demo of what using Rocketlauncher can do for your set-up. Mostly a demo of the fade screens but also a quick shot of loading from a save state in the Pause menu at 2:43. A few of the transitions in the video look a little rough - including the pause menu transition - due to the recording software getting a little lost and not knowing which layer it was supposed to be recording. The software chokes further on in the video but it still recorded. Oddly enough, the Future Pinball section is the roughest looking as its kind of choppy. The Daphne fade-in transition 40 seconds in is pretty smooth and is more representative of what you'll actually see with most of the emulators when set up properly. The fade out exit screen on that one is pretty smooth also. I might do another video soon but with a camera instead of the software so the transitions can be seen the way they actually look on the screen. Thanks needs to be given to Retrohumanoid on Youtube for all the Rocketlauncher artwork and for Simply Austin for bringing his channel to the spotlight. Also for the Launchbox theme creators here that do what you do. Thanks! If you are looking to get your feet wet with Rocketlauncher, I created a tutorial video at the link below.
  13. At the blistering pace of development, I'm sure it won't be long! Maybe the theme creation tools already allow for vertical theming? Not really my area of expertise but it seems like it wouldn't be that difficult to implement if it was high on his priority list. If its not currently possible and there isn't a ticket for it, maybe we should open one.
  14. Very nice theme! I love the platform videos you made too. They are my favorite platform vids out of any I have seen so far.
  15. Not the answer you are looking for, but in the mean-time while waiting a theme to be created (if a Bigbox theme can currently even be created vertically), there is a mod of Hyperspin out there called HyperTate. Its kind of hard to find but you can find it by doing a Google search. The link to the download is actually hosted on a youtuber's channel. I've never messed with it myself but if I had a vertical setup, I would want to know about it. It actually looks pretty rad for this kind of a mod. Good luck. *Moderators, if this isn't allowed, feel free to delete.
  16. Thanks @Zombeaver. I just hope it helps someone looking to get started with Rocket Launcher.
  17. Due to popular demand, I whipped up a Rocket Launcher tutorial last night. I'm not the best tut creator in the world but I gave it a shot. I think I went over most of the important stuff to help a Rocket Launcher noob get their feet wet. I got so wrapped up in setting up the Rocket Launcher part that I almost forgot to show Launchbox launching a game through RL so I had to go back and add that part at the end. Don't get too excited. I added several helpful annotations to the video via the Youtube interface which Youtube tells me won't show up if viewing from a mobile device so keep that in mind if viewing this on your phone. I'm far from being a Rocket Launcher expert but I can get most things to work through it if given enough time. The benefits of using Rocket Launcher for me are the fade screens and the pause screen with save and load state menus. Rocket Launcher also does bezels pretty well, as well as mapping keys through various methods including xpadder, autohotkey, and joy2key. For someone new to frontends and emulators, I personally would skip Rocket Launcher and hope that Jason eventually adds support for some of these features through Launchbox. But, if you can't wait and want all the bells and whistles, or are trying to get a hard (impossible?) to set up system like ScummVM or Future Pinball to work, then Rocket Launcher is currently your best bet. If you have questions, feel free to ask below. I might not know the answer, but myself or someone else with Rocket Launcher experience can probably point you in the right direction. Good luck, and happy gaming (or if you are like me, happy system set up-ing). Here's a few helpful links. 18. @Jason Carr Curious if you have plans to add any more video packs from the other video creators? I know I can manually do it, just curious if you had plans to add the ability to download them directly from Launchbox.
  19. Guess I'm not understanding exactly what you mean. Sorry.
  20. @Jason CarrI can send you my data folder tonight if it is helpful. I have about 40 systems set up, some of which are custom platforms.
  21. Looks like the RocketLauncher Plugin may have finally been updated for anyone that uses it. Have not been able to test it yet myself but thought I would share.
  22. Nice. Wish I knew about this a month ago. Doing a Google search, it looks like FPLoader.exe is a BAM (Better Arcade Mode) executable for launching Future Pinball. In essence, it looks like it does almost the same thing my executable does, it calls the Future Pinball.exe and passes the correct commands to it. Good to know there are other options out there. I don't believe however this exe comes with Future Pinball. Here is the link if anyone else wants to look into it. http://ravarcade.pl/?en_starting,19
