  1. Yeah I just read something stating that it wasn't working, but I must admit I didn't take note of the date of the post, so could have been years ago. Good news for me, it means I can now add them Thanks DOS76 for putting me straight
  2. jaythompson helped me a lot with Future Pinball and as you will see from the post above you originally had to add the following info in the command prompt section of every table /open "Drive Letter:\full path\table_name.fpt" /play /exit I have 700+ tables so it a was a bit of a Herculean task, but thanks to jaythompson you don't have to do that anymore. I've not tried it yet because I'm working on other things. DOS76 is right, Retroarch will make things much easier and I have many systems using it and it is a joy to use. Brads videos are also very helpful and I myself have used many of them to help me get up and running. Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought at present that Naomi emulation through Demul is broken at present?
  3. I wondered if you have to import disk 2 of a multi disk game into Launchbox for this to work. So many duplicate images from multi disk games??
  4. Just a quick question. When you install the 3.2.8 sse version of steem into the 3.2 original folder it over writes some files. However there is a steem.exe and a Steem SSE 3.8.2.exe. Can I delete the steem.exe because today steem said ther was an update which I did and it seemed to revert me back to the original 3.2, so can I delete the steem.exe and the steemupdate.exe without any adverse effect to the program?
  5. I was wondering if you could do a clear logo for me on this image, although I'm not sure if my copy and paste from my original post transferred the image in it's correct size? Check out the following post for the original image No rush! If you can help out you efforts would be much appreciated
  6. Just going on past experiences it sounds like it could be your gpu that is developing a fault. I had something similar happen a while back, but this was before Launchbox. Of course it could be a number of things. Have you perhaps just updated your driver for your gpu? If so, roll back the driver, if not update the driver and see what happens. Like I said it could be a number of things and if it happening randomly on your PC out of LB, then it may well be the gpu
  7. Zombeaver you are the man! Thanks for posting the screen shots, it's really helpful. I must admit that sometimes you get a situation where you launch an emulator and with a lack of documentation in certain cases, you look at the settings menu and think YIKES! So I'll say again, thanks and that I appreciate the images....
  8. Is there a good app out there that can rename roms as well as load your roms and tell you what you have missing, that is universal and works with many current platforms?
  9. LOL!! Fantastic it's running and although I want a complete collection after all that work the games are really bad Still very nostalgic Thanks for the help along the way
  10. Thanks for the help! All my Neo Geo CD files are zipped to save space. I removed the unzip files checkbox and my games wouldn't load. So I assume I order to make use of the bios files within the mame folder I would have to unzip the neo geo cd files so that there is no need for that to be checked and then add the mame folder to the mess ini. Is there a way to do it any other way because I have a small amount of space on my drive to play with. I can see the sense in using the mame folder as a bios resource but as you see above it may not be possible. Out of interest, should it be working the way I have it set up at the moment? Is it perhaps the bios files that are the problem? Ok, so I found a bios file called the following channelf.zip and within the archive are these files I've put them into the roms folder with the other bios zips for neo geo cd and now the games launch, however not all of them load properly. with a lot of them I get a green screen with the letters G? in pink , where as with the ones that work I get the green screen then they load load any ideas?
  11. I had already setup SNK Neo Geo CD using Brad's tutorial and my ini looks a little different to the details you have in your guide. So with your help and suggestions from DOS76 I've done the following. (See pictures) Roms for both systems are in the games folder in the LB root, and bios files are in the mess roms folder. I'm wondering if the bios files need to be edited to be recognised. Can you guys see what I've done wrong? Neo Geo CD work just fine, Fairchild won't run.
  12. So I've got the emulator up and running and have setup the controls to use my xbox 360 controller. Does the setup look correct? I was worried that it was in the wrong section, but it seems to work. Also any setting I should be tweeking for those who have set Atari ST with Steem up. I also skipped telling Steem where my games were and also setting up a hard drive. Is this necessary to configure or can I just leave it as is?
  13. What TOS version yields the most compatability
  14. I'd like to give mess a go. Is it just a question of adding the roms and the emulator and you are good to go or is there more to it? where do the bios files go and do they need to be named a certain way? I put all my roms in the LB usually games folder, except for FBA where it was suggested putting the roms in the emulator folder.
  15. Having been part of the community for a while now I've talked to many people and everyone has different preferences with regards to what systems, artwork, and the number of roms they add. Some like no missing artwork, others don't mind. It got me thinking about some of the artwork I've found on google to fill in some of the gaps I've got in my games list.. I'm sure the goal is to get the LB database as complete as possible in the long run. So how can we contribute/upload content and are there certain image sizes that have to be adhered to, for things like clear logos, box
  16. So is there a healthy number of tables ported over to VP10 or are the majority of the tables on VP9. I just want to put together a collection of good tables, so if I stick with vp10 will I miss out on some classics?
  17. So you need this to run STX games but some may not be playable due to copy protection
  18. Does the pasti.dll go in with the roms or into the emulator folder
  19. Awesome, I assume this is something to do with copy protection I recall
  20. I saw somewhere on the forums that someone was running the Fairchild system through Retroarch using the mess_libretro.dll core. I've got a nightly build of Retroarch dated 11.11.2016 and it appears that the core is not there, just the mess2014_libretro.dll core is available. I've tried the 2014 core but it doesn't work, mess standalone also doesn't run the games. I wonder why the core that I mentioned first is no longer there? Any ideas? Do I perhaps need command line parameters added for the games to run
  21. Thank you for answering all my questions! Hopefully the setup of the emulator for c64 will be straight forward if not I'll give you a shout
