I have some actual EURO exclusives and Japanese translations in mine, so I probably won't do the last part, but that's very helpful, thanks again!

Ah OK yeah that makes sense, you should be able to do a search replace with notepad++, just put .iso in the search box and leave the replace box empty. Make a backup of the xml elsewhere first though before messing with it.
Which XML? Sorry still trying to learn the backend.

Yes I did, I just followed the wizard.
I know what caused it...before I import ISO ps2 games I compress them with a tool that changes them to a smaller, real-time format of .GZ (causes a small delay the very first time to open a game, that's it).....but I import that, the file names are whatever.iso.gz so since the .iso is not removed or placed in ( ) Launchbox imports that as part of the name... :-(
I just need a way to rename what is showing in Launchbox for all those files...without renaming the actual files...I can edit each one and fix this and it doesn't break anything, but I have too many to do... -
Many of my games are imported with the title but then also .iso at the end....
I don't want the .ISO showing....renaming them individually works , but it is a bear...is there a way to quickly REMOVE the .iso as the FILE NAME (not the file itself) in Launchbox? Some config file I can notepad++ edit/replace?
Thanks in advance. -

Yea, so basically I have already released Adventure and RPG packs. Strategy pack releases very soon.
When you download one of these packs, it pre-populates launchbox with all of the art assets, manuals, etc... so you don't have to scrape anything.
You rock eXoDOS. Scraping for video clips if you have a emumovies account, can be fruitful, yes?

Cleverest, just Google Dom's ROM Renamer and use the latest HyperList or HyperBase XML to check ROMs.
Thanks, I'm gonna try this....anyone have any good video tutorials on the process?

Haha! Looks just like me on the weekends!
Actually, I don't pirate, I own physical copies of all of my games! (Some in my mind though.) -
Exo, for the SCUMMVM/DOS games in the collection, when it prompts you for which one....what is the advantage of choosing one or the other? Does one provide a better experience in some way? Are they identical, any negatives/positives you can highlight? Does it vary on a per game basis, or not really?

How is that boat of yours Cleverest? Has it docked at Donut Plains yet to unload those Roms?
Still on the sea. :-) I know I have a lot of roms, just wish I had clear audit sheets I what I have and what I was missing still...hard to come up with consistent lists, they seem to be all over the place.

Thanks, I really wish there was more uniformity with these groups and the naming conventions.

Just tested with the latest nightly build on the site and crashes out but 1.5.4 stable works perfectly fine.
Since Launchbox just passing the emulator through, I’m not sure why it still crashing...maybe @Jason Carr would know.

Thanks....Any way to delete or reset those to defaults? I have not made any manual changes to those fields that I can recall.

* Actually Windows 8.1

Anyone else see this? When I EDIT any game and click the drop-down arrow next to publisher or manufacturer (all others work fine!), instead of giving me a list, LB gets a spinning circle and then locks up not responding, forcing me to END TASK the entire program.
Using 8.1 non-beta, with Windows 10, but recall it happening also at least in the last version.
Anyways, how can I can repair these databases so they load properly? Thanks. -
No I believe I had issues with drag and drop when I did try that before...I can try that....

Works fine for me using PPSSPP 1.5.4 and latest LB beta.
I'd try the beta, but don't want to update to those in this build....guess I'll have to wait.
-
As far as I can tell, since updating to 8.1 LB this is happening, my PPSSPP emulation will not run a game properly, but only within LB... I get a STOPPED RESPONDING error, I've tried updating PPSSPP in case something was corrupted, no good....I CAN right-click a game in Launchbox and launch only PPSSPP and it plays a game fine, from within its own menu....but if I open ANY PSP game within LB I get a crash... (see image)
Anything else I can try? -

Yes, that sounds right for the !dos folder.
It sounds like you have some extra (eg: old) games in the games folder.
Ahh okay so ideally I should see what's extra and delete it....could use the space...cool, thanks man!
-
eXo,
I now have exactly 1400 files now in my !dos folder, inside the GAMES folder...is this correct if I have RPG 3.0 and Adventure 3.1 installed?
I also have 1,454 ZIP files in my eXoDOS GAMES folder (the folder before the !dos folder)...all this look okay? -

Everything in the !dos folder is decompressed from the gamesrpg.zip file.
Does that mean it's okay to delete it all, and download the new adventure 3.1 pack there? sorry I'm thick...

Yea, you can point the new torrent to your existing directory that way you start at a high percentage.
I'd recommend deleting your ".\exodos\exodos\games\!dos" folder. It's not necessary, but it will clean out some garbage I got rid of. The proper files will be repopulated when you run the setup.bat file.
Thanks man....I have 337 items in that !Dos folder and will delete that entire folder and everything in it...is that correct?? (just want to be sure I'm not messing up my eXoDos RPG collection too that was downloaded there earlier...

My gaming peeps....
I would love to be able to filter out any non-roms (games) from the ALL GAMES list, in both Launchbox and BigBox...would make things much cleaner for anyone who is also storing video game magazines and comics in Launchbox.
I posted the request here, all proper-like...please vote?

How quickly remove a string of characters from all my ps2 games (named in LB)

Actually the XML shows, something like this: icationPath>Games\Sony Playstation 2\Amplitude (USA).iso.gz</ApplicationPath>
Isn't that just going to break the path to the game?
