Yes the XML file is the new one in the strategy download, I searched and found SIMCITY inside of it to verify...
I have all the packs metadata zips in the Launchbox folder...RPG, ADV and STR
Should I run SETUP.BAT and then Patch.bat again....maybe that will fix it? -
When will the new interface be out in a NON-BETA release? (roughly)
Looks awesome! -
Not sure what I did wrong, but my MS-DOS games still show 1,400 total...the new Strategy ones aren't showing up in Launchbox...
After installing and patching, I copied over the contents of the folder GAMES into my existing collection where the other ones are, this is the same I did with RPG and ADV pack...as well as copying everything in IMAGES\MS-DOS, and the MS-DOS.XML file in DATA (overwrote the old one), and now Launchbox still will not show more than 1,400 games...
What could I be doing wrong? -

All three of those games are from the RPG pack. Not sure why you would see them after installing the strategy pack...?
Very odd. I'll do some testing and see what I come up with.
Did you happen to run the patch as well, or no?
yes I downloaded over my old adventure/rpg download....ran setup.bat, then patch.bat

In the Dos! folder after installing the new Strategy pack (running the set up) and the patch..... I've noticed that the three folders in games\dos! are empty EXCEPT for the .BAT file for each game...are these broken or were they removed?

Figured out way, a bit time consuming if you are have more than 1 region like I do but I SORTED BY VERSION in LB.
Each section, highlight only those games, EDIT in bulk, drop-down version and rename to only country for each country section, removing the rest, ex: (Europe)
VIOLA...that works.....better than nothing! Thanks anyways! -

Actually the XML shows, something like this: icationPath>Games\Sony Playstation 2\Amplitude (USA).iso.gz</ApplicationPath>
Isn't that just going to break the path to the game? -
I have some actual EURO exclusives and Japanese translations in mine, so I probably won't do the last part, but that's very helpful, thanks again!

Ah OK yeah that makes sense, you should be able to do a search replace with notepad++, just put .iso in the search box and leave the replace box empty. Make a backup of the xml elsewhere first though before messing with it.
Which XML? Sorry still trying to learn the backend.

Yes I did, I just followed the wizard.
I know what caused it...before I import ISO ps2 games I compress them with a tool that changes them to a smaller, real-time format of .GZ (causes a small delay the very first time to open a game, that's it).....but I import that, the file names are whatever.iso.gz so since the .iso is not removed or placed in ( ) Launchbox imports that as part of the name... :-(
I just need a way to rename what is showing in Launchbox for all those files...without renaming the actual files...I can edit each one and fix this and it doesn't break anything, but I have too many to do... -
Many of my games are imported with the title but then also .iso at the end....
I don't want the .ISO showing....renaming them individually works , but it is a bear...is there a way to quickly REMOVE the .iso as the FILE NAME (not the file itself) in Launchbox? Some config file I can notepad++ edit/replace?
Thanks in advance. -

Yea, so basically I have already released Adventure and RPG packs. Strategy pack releases very soon.
When you download one of these packs, it pre-populates launchbox with all of the art assets, manuals, etc... so you don't have to scrape anything.
You rock eXoDOS. Scraping for video clips if you have a emumovies account, can be fruitful, yes?

Cleverest, just Google Dom's ROM Renamer and use the latest HyperList or HyperBase XML to check ROMs.
Thanks, I'm gonna try this....anyone have any good video tutorials on the process?

Haha! Looks just like me on the weekends!
Actually, I don't pirate, I own physical copies of all of my games! (Some in my mind though.) -
Exo, for the SCUMMVM/DOS games in the collection, when it prompts you for which one....what is the advantage of choosing one or the other? Does one provide a better experience in some way? Are they identical, any negatives/positives you can highlight? Does it vary on a per game basis, or not really?

How is that boat of yours Cleverest? Has it docked at Donut Plains yet to unload those Roms?
Still on the sea. :-) I know I have a lot of roms, just wish I had clear audit sheets I what I have and what I was missing still...hard to come up with consistent lists, they seem to be all over the place.

Thanks, I really wish there was more uniformity with these groups and the naming conventions.

Just tested with the latest nightly build on the site and crashes out but 1.5.4 stable works perfectly fine.
Since Launchbox just passing the emulator through, I’m not sure why it still crashing...maybe @Jason Carr would know.

Thanks....Any way to delete or reset those to defaults? I have not made any manual changes to those fields that I can recall.
