Would appreciate all of those, thanks a lot!!

Since updating the video driver and updating to 7.16 (not sure which did it), the crashing stopped, thankfully!

did you check for new Nvidia drivers
Installing 388.71 now, thanks...hopefully helps.
-
I installed framework 4.7.1 in case that would help...it did not...
-
It's now doing it....again...7.15 is crashing every few minutes....was working fine for a couple days after upgrade...NOT AGAIN!!!
-
I may have fixed it by adding iRotate to my external drive in the main Taito Type X games folder (it's own folder), and setting it as additional app, to launch AFTER the game, with these command lines: /2:rotate=90
The /2 is optional and specifies my monitor being rotated on exit...I hope that works with single monitor set up, supposed to default to primary monitor if the /2 is invalid....seems to work although sometimes the game crashes on exit instead...
Any better solution is welcome! -

don't know how right bat files myself especially if I had to also specify a monitor. For it to rotate the other monitor you would probably have to click on it to get focus 1st
I tried to click FOCUS first too...that fails, it ignores the other one...I tried installing irotate, but all it does is require me to torture myself with a 90 degree screen to click an icon in tray and rotate it, defeating the purpose...I hope someone can help, I wish I knew how...these games are really cool...

ctrl+alt+up arrow should fix it up or make a ahk or bat and use it as an additional app to run a certain amount of seconds after the game exits.
Any chance you can help with me with making the BAT? I've tried the arrow combo to no avail, it merely rotates me second monitor, not the one being played on, and I need it to be seamless, giving this to someone who can't do this... :-\
Thanks man. -
Question, I'm able to get the games launching with the new Launchbox 7.15 by setting them up (no emulator) with the main EXE, for example Raider III.exe; it opens and plays fine, but when exiting, it rotates my monitor 90 degrees...I'm using the Simply Austin version of this game...what do I need to do? I've tried a bunch of stuff and nothing seems to work....if this has been covered, I'm sorry, just confused here...thanks!

Would be nice to have a dedicated button to download and upload community star ratings
Absolutely!

That did nothing...I should have checked to update metadata on missing fields lol...silly me. Do I also need to have it checked at the start to also 'search Launchbox' database for game info? I'd prefer not to, as I have some fixed/custom written stuff I don't want overwritten.
-
Nevermind, I just did it for the entire collection, choosing to uncheck everything and answered NO to the final question of replacing metadata....I'll see if that breaks anything, I hope not...
-
I don't want to download metadata for everything, even if I uncheck it all...I have over 50k....is there a way to just have it update the community metadata only for my entire library?
Thanks guys. -
for Symlinks I recommend this tool: https://sourceforge.net/projects/symlink-creator/
no command line needed.

I'd recommend making symbolic links if you need Launchbox installed elsewhere. Be the simplest way to have LB think eXoDOS is local while the bulk of the data is actually elsewhere.
Exactly...I have all my images/cache on my SSD drive with symbolic links, it does help with the performance for sure.

Oh dear! So it's not very easy as harryoke and I were hoping!
Would it be possible exo to have LB on the external drive too? And then have the games inside that LB folder?
Was really hoping to have LB local (along with all the media), with the games on the NAS (like to for the rest of my 10TB collection).
I run Launchbox entirely on an external USB 8TB drive myself

You sure as hell shouldn’t have to eXo; you've done enough!!

Copy the whole eXoDOS folder, the one that contains the games folder. There is only one drawback with this as far as i can tell. That is if you plan on seeding this and importing to an existing LB install you will need to copy the eXoDOS folder and not move it, as the torrent wont work unless it is in the double eXoDOS folder layout. I will just leave it where it is until all 5 vols are released and ive seeded plenty and then import it all in one go. That way i wont need to copies wasting space on my hdd.
Good advice, but I'd rather waste the disk space, copy it and use it as it's released, LOL...can't wait!

Thought I would ask here since people here are fairly knowledgeable. Every torrent I download from pleasuredome stalls and the tracker shows as not working? Torrents from other sites download and seed without issue but pleasuredome torrents all fail. I'm using qbTorrent specifically. I've found a couple of forum hits via google discussing similar issues but changing settings they recommend such as turning off cache don't seem to have an affect. Anyone have something similar happen or know a fix? It's not a big deal, I can wait until eXo uploads to other locations.
I use DELUGE and have no issues, they and others recommend qbitorrent, although I had major issues with that after awhile...kept stalling, but with deluge no issues at all anymore.

Yeah sure Charco, here is the intro if that's what you mean, but I can't take credit for it, I took it from the downloads section here, haha -
Jason, this is a bit out there...but...I've imported over 2,000 comics into Launchbox, and even found an intro video for it, I've manually extracted covers using ComicRack and a plugin that lets you save the first page as an image, etc...it looks amazing, but Launchbox still of course labels everything (PLAY GAME), etc...well, because it's for games, LOL...I know it's a minor thing but is it possible for me to edit that platform only and change the wording to read or view comic, etc..?
-
I'd love to design intro videos for custom playlists for Launchbox....what's a good place to start learning the easiest method? I'll acquire whatever software makes it easiest/fastest.

Exo, one thing I noticed is that the collection does import adult games (EX: Young Stuff) without asking like it used to on the old installs...I want to import them, but I'd like to know which ones are adult so I can toggle HIDE in Launchbox so they don't show up when I demo BIGBOX to people...do you have a list perhaps of those titles in this release?
Thanks.

I ran it on the separated downloaded files I had in another folder, then just copied the data over to LB, namely the MS-DOS.XML into DATA\platforms, and the images and manual folder into Launchbox folder, and the EXODOS folder itself (the one with games in it) into the launchbox folder. Haven't been able to try it yet, but it all looks correct, file wise...we'll see soon...
