    @dragon57 - doesn't that option just let you download metadata and media for the games?

    Currently I use platform category view with game count, so it looks like this: Consoles (500) NES (250) SNES (250) Is it possible to show the number of platforms under the platform category instead of the total nunber of games? So in this example it would look like: Consoles (2) NES (250) SNES (250)

    Worked it out! Question - works fine for the platform selections, though I want different text to show for the categories selection (e.g. manufacturers makes no sense for categories). How can I have different text for categories and platforms?

    How do I get LB to populate the platform metadata? I added the NES, but none of the metadata fields (developer, manufacturer, CPU, etc) are populated - all are empty!

    Figured out which view to edit, and how to add a text box. However following your instruction, I end up with just the word "Nintendo", instead of "Manufacturer: Nintendo". If I add the word Manufacturer before the string you gave me, then the whole string shows as text in BB instead of the instruction.

    Many thanks CriticalCid! I wonder if it would be possible to add a bar to the botton of the platform selection view in Criticalzone version 1 with 3 bits of information, like this?

    That would be great, cheers. Videos take up a lot of space and I like to set my video folder onto an external drive. Edit: guess there is always mklink in the meantime...

    No, I don't mean platform videos - I mean the "theme" videos, for individual games.

    When editing a platform, you can set the folder locations for all the media types. This includes "videos", but I don't see an option for theme videos. Are these kept in the same folder, or is there just no option to set the folder for this?

    Just a warning - the new exoDOS download comes with instructions - it says to just run "setup.bat". I did this, but it reset all my Launchbox settings! I'm now having to go through and change LB back to how I had it before.

    Great news! Presumably it's the same process as before - point the torrent at the existing exodos games folder as described above. But what is the procedure after that - we don't need to setup LB again do we?

    I'm wondering if there is anyone here who would be kind enough to make a small change to a theme for me. I would do it myself though I would have to learn the code/software from scratch, which would take me a while. The change I'm looking for is only for the platform category/platform screens, and only for one view. I'm currently using the Criticalzone theme (version 1) with the view where the video (Viking's system videos) takes up the whole screen. It looks like this: I am looking for a basic information bar the bottom, showing manufacturer, year and total game count; something like this: Would be most grateful if anyone could make such a change

    Yes V2 has some of that information, thanks! The wheels are disappearing like before though - would you be able to modify this one too?

    Ok no worries, leave it with me. When you say v2, do you mean another version of the theme to download?

    I love the ability in BigBox to select the manual or game art from the menu. However, it would be useful to be able to do this in-game, rather than having to exit and re-start the game to do so. Is this currently possible? If not then can it be? In Hyperspin, Hyperpause does just that. Thanks!

    That's great! I wonder if I could be so bold as to ask something else of you? I really like the full screen video view for categories and platforms. But I would really like to have some category/platform information too. I know that you can change the view in your theme to have the video a bit smaller with information at the bottom of the screen, but this doesn't look nearly as good in my humble opinion. I wonder if it would be possible for you to add some information to the full screen video view, with the information overlaying the video? Obviously not overlaying the picture of the console or the game video itself, but at the blank space at the top or bottom of the screen? What would be great would be to have the following text information displayed in the above manner: Details: Year, Total Games, Manufacturer, CPU, Display, Media Description: (the standard category/platform description) Would this be possible?

    I can't add a platform that has no games, and I can't change the platform of existing games to NES Hacked because I can't create it!! This is some kind of catch22!

    Quick question here about the Criticalzone theme that comes with LB. I have it set to the full screen platform videos view. The problem I am having is that in this view, the selection wheel disappears 1-2 seconds after moving it each time. Is there a way to have the selection wheel remain? Thanks
