  1. As far as I can tell (please correct me if I am wrong), when browsing game media via the "game details" pane, the only artwork that shows are the screenshots and community art. How can I get the other artwork to show, e.g. box art, etc. I know that I can right-click and then "view images", but this seems a bit of a funny way to do it when there is already a game details pane. Besides, I would like to be able to view all the available artwork in this pane. A lot of emulator frontends (e.g. the MAME ones) have various tabs for cabinet image, screenshots, controller, poster, marquee, flyer. etc. Something like this would be great!
  2. Launchbox loads fine on my laptop. As the screen is small however, I have a second external monitor (24") connected via USB-C running at 1920x1200. The laptop screen runs at 2880x1800. For most windows and apps, when I drag them to the external monitor they are initially too big/too low resolution, though as soon as the window is more than half way onto the external monitor it resizes to the correct size/resolution. For some reason, Launchbox doesn't follow this behaviour. It stays at the same size/resolution, and is far too big/low resolution on the external monitor. Any help appreciated!
  3. Thanks eXo, that sounds fairly clear - so the new torrent will only download the missing stuff if I point it to my existing exodos/win3xo folder as you describe. Would it be a similar procedure when downloading the other packs? This is going to be the biggest thing to hit Launchbox this decade
  4. If I don't delete 2.0, how do I update it to 3.0 with the Launchbox package included? I don't really have anything in Launchbox at the moment, as I had been waiting for these packs So no need to merge with existing LB install.
  5. I have the old 2.0 collection. So just to confirm - I delete this, download the new ones pack by pack and import into Launchbox as per the instructions?
  6. Great news eXo. Worth doing it right with a project such as this. Wonder if you can get anyone to help. I would have back in the day when I had more time. They should have a stamp “certified by exo” on the games DB so that we know which items have the correct data
  7. Spycat - I found that option and selected it, but the grey box round the game on hover remains the same. Is there somewhere I can change the colour of this now? ckp - glad it bothers you too! Maybe the devs will take note of this and fix it for us. The same box is shown round the selected game - I think the selected game does need some kind of box, but it could be made much less intrusive. Take a look at Openemu on the Mac for an example of a clean interface in this regard.
  8. When browsing games in Launchbox, whenever the mouse moves over a game a big grey box appears behind it. This looks ugly and detracts from the experience. How can I stop this from happening? Thanks!
  9. Yeah me too, if this is the recommended course of action.
  10. Thanks for the tip eXo, and great to hear that you are still working on it. I will continue to wait for the time being with the import.
  11. How are things progressing here? I'm looking to import exoDOS/Win3xO into LB, but have got things on pause until there is a clear way forward.
  12. Keen for some advice here. I am keen to set up LB/BB to show as much of the available media/assets per game as possible. For example, when I am browsing through games, I would like it (depending on the system of course) to show the box art, game video, marquee, title screen, controller, cabinet, cartridge, manual etc. Alternatively, I would be almost as happy as having another easy option to access this media from the game menu, as long as it was straightforward. How can I set top LB/BB to show all this media - is it possible? Thanks!
  13. I too would like to know the answer to this question - what is the best app which can scan a directory and audit all the ROMS?
  14. After 46 pages worth of comments hopefully that question is answered!
  15. For MAME, I think browsing by the original arcade cab image would be the coolest. Something like the below. Is this possible?
  16. I'd be keen to know the answer to this too.
  17. Looks great! But no update for a year?
  18. Oh great! Any hint of a timeframe?
  19. Yeah, likewise. Keen to hear any input from @Jason Carr as well, in terms of where things are with this.
  20. Word play aside, definite +1 for maximum editability or customisability of the LB user interface!
  21. I thought this issue of renaming media had been fixed, according to what Jason mentioned in another thread?
  22. Exo, is your tool any use for exporting to something that Hyperspin can use? If not then would yoo consider adding that functionality? Or is HS a different kettle.l of fish? cheers
  23. Looking forward to the progress here. On a side note - are there any thoughts on doing something similar for the GOG pack? It's bigger than the exodos pack at around 0.51TB, though the games are less in number.
  24. Hi eXo, quick question regarding the exoDOS and Win3xO packages. I put them both in the same directory with all games in a joint games subdirectory. I ran the Win3xO batch file and it seems to be decompressing all the artwork. Do I still need to run the exoDOS batch file afterwards? Thanks. Edit: tried it with just the Win3xO batch file. Started Meagre - get the error message: "no data found - please check folders". I have not moved any folders around - simply left things in the root folder as suggested. Any help appreciated. Edit2: seems it doesn't like having the & symbol in the directory name. Removed that, changed it in the meagre.ini file and now it's loading the folders.
  25. I'm currently about 15% into my download of exodos 2.0....should I cancel this and await 3.0?
