Hey guys, so after I finish up with my cartridge collections, I figured I would move on to systems with optical media. Spent several hours coming up with a design to use so that I could create a unified style along all the different systems. Since ripping artwork from optical formats isn't as cut and dry as copying a cartridge label, my idea is to create a unique matching set for each system using clear logos, and fanart and / or official art if available. These disc art sets won't match the official ones, but they will be very high quality and look great browsing large collections. Also, I do plan on releasing the templates for every cartridge and disc once I'm finished, so if anyone wants to do any edits, they will have an easier time of doing it. The CD was designed from scratch so that the translucent parts of the disc are actually there. I'm using @Dan Patrick's system logos for each system so they will look amazing and crisp. Thanks for creating such an amazing set. Here is a preview of where I am with Sega CD:

I've been working for a while on creating a unique high quality consistent set of 2D Cart artwork for multiple consoles. @dragon57 lent his time running some scripts to get the labels onto these carts and naming each file appropriately. HUGH THANKS! As such I'm naming these sets ArcDragon due to the collaborative effort. -

For this collection a lot of these use the box art for the labels since there aren't really any complete packs with high quality scans. The entire "Pulse Line" collection has been recreated from scratch, and several curated titles have extremely high quality artwork. Version1.0 uses the standard Famicom cart design for all games. I will work on creating some of the other cart styles in future release ie Konami, Namcot, IREM, etc, though I don't plan on creating EVERY different cart style. Version 1.0 has 1162 cart images.- 4 comments

HUGH THANKS! As such I'm naming these sets ArcDragon due to the collaborative effort. This is a set of all the officially licensed NES 2D carts. Tengen and other unlicensed games are not in this first release. I will be working on some of the unlicensed cart designs for this set once I have the official releases done for each console. I hope you guys enjoy using them as much as I had creating them. -
Just put the final touches on the AES cart design. These will require custom labels, since there doesn't seem to be any high resolution scans of the carts. Thankfully I've got a template made up that will make these a bit easier.

I can not express the level of appreciation I have for your efforts. I have spent countless hours looking for high quality logos for my various projects, but never being satisfied with most of the them. Now you have single handedly created a golden resource for designers. You deserve all the praise and admiration you've received and more. These honestly need to be permanently pinned on this forum so that it will remain easily accessible for all users. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Just wanted to drop in and give an update. I'm pausing development for a few days on Shade to try and finish some of my 2D cartridge sets. @dragon57 has graciously lent his time to help with getting them completed. I'll have some more updates on Shade soon though.

*Update* I'm working with @dragon57 on making these into full sets. Progress is going really well, and I should have some systems ready to release pretty soon.

Did some redesign work as the original theme was starting to get pretty slow with all the layering. Updated first post with a video of current progress

Community Theme Creator can't open my theme anymore
Arcanthur replied to Arcanthur's topic in Custom Theme Tutorials
Ended up having to start over. I messaged y2guru about it and he is planning to reinforce save routines in CTC, so that hopefully won't occur in future releases. In the meantime, I suggest making regular backups of your theme folder. -
So....my whole theme got corrupted within CTC so I essentially had to start over. 🤢 Things aren't exactly the same anymore, but I took the opportunity to try and refine the design / layout. Here is my current progress: 246443203_BigBox5.mp4

After I saved and published my theme and I opened it in BigBox the theme works as intended. Then I opened Community Theme Creator and I have this error. The .txt file for my theme is now just full of [NUL]. Can I somehow import my theme back in to Theme Creator? As it seems the theme was overwritten by bad data?

I'm able to get two different videos to play now, but when I try to make them the same video it doesn't play. I'll look in to the visual brush, does it allow for the "copied" video to have its own XY coordinates? I'm also applying a blur and opacity mask. If it doesn't allow for that, I can stick with the second video, though the effect is nicer to look at when it matches the selected video.

I'm trying to have a playlist name only show when actively looking at playlists, but when I view them in just the main platform view it shows the name of the platform. How can I hide that when not viewing a playlist? Example:
