  1. I appreciate the batch file and it worked like a champ. I went from 426 sets at 147GB to 417 at 94.6GB. Is there anyway to scan these CHDs to validate the sets? I typically use CLRMame and DATs from redump. CLRMame doesn't seem capable of scanning the sets in this format. I lost some along the way and would like to see what happened.
  2. All my TurboGrafx CDs are zipped and I have been attempting to use Retroarch to emulate these games. The only thing that seems to happen is i get a .cue file extracted automatically in the same directory as the other zips when I try to launch. Can I assume using zip files is not supported? I would like confirmation before I eat up a bunch of disk space extracting them. If zip is not supported, are there any other compressed formats such as CHD that are? Thanks in advance.
  3. Yeah I have been there but man, it wasn't clear that I could even interact with the data on the form. Logged in and I see the pencil icon so great, I can do some updates. I also don't see a way to insert a new record. Is that only possible once your account has been upgraded? I can assume that until that time I can't see if whatever update I'm doing has already been done but hasn't been approved yet? Just making sure I'm not wasting my time on work already done. Update. I did manage to find the "Add a Game" option. For what it is worth, that is invisible. Coming from the main LB website there is no sub menu, just the "Games DB" link. When you go to the games database link the menu position moves and then there is a sub menu. Kept expecting that option to be on the page and not buried in a menu that is disconnected form the content. With that said, I'll spend some time submitting changes until I can get more useful access. Thanks.
  4. Could someone give me a 101 level on what someone has to do to help? I see a reply saying I need 25 accepted submissions before you are allowed to validate submissions. Submissions where? Are these changes you make to your own local database that get pushed back that someone has to approve or am I totally missing something here? It would be helpful maybe if there was a sticky that outlined how the community can help in this regard. I bought a license about a year ago and use the software daily while also poking around the forums from time to time. I wouldn't count myself as a new user, but I didn't even know this was a thing until I stumbled on this post. Maybe I'm just missing something obvious.
  5. How can one participate and help?
  6. Obvious if I would have thought to right click. Thanks for your help!
  7. I'm in the process of downloading eXoDOS v2 which I believe is the latest version. The compressed file is 375.7GB so hopefully you have bandwidth and the space available to extract it. I have not been able to locate chunks nor does the torrent allow you to only download what you want so its all or none.
  8. Would be a nice feature if it set a path to the folder when importing. I assumed it already had. Thanks for the information!

Thanks for mentioning eXoDOS. Never heard of it before and my hard drive thanks you.
  10. Here is a decent guide to get you started.
  11. Something like Clrmamepro is probably what you are after. Pair that with whatever version of MAME your set is for and you can point it to your source folder, choose a destination folder and use the rebuild option. I don't have a lot of experience with Sega Model X emulators, but it seems DATs exist and you can probably do the same thing for each of those if you are trying to clean up a mess.

    MAME exits

You are missing the Neo-Geo BIOS.
  13. I got an email from Circo over at EmuMovies that said " The server should be back online in about an hour performing some maintenance " Just tested and its working again.
  14. Is there a way to delete or hide images from within the LaunchBox interface? There are times I run across an images that was downloaded which is wrong. For example Castlevania: The New Generation is displaying a picture of the Enterprise from I guess the Star Trek the Next Generation. Not in front of that computer but I believe its part of the fan art. Would be nice to just delete it. Am I missing something?
  15. CPU: i7-6700K RAM: 16GB GPU: GTX-1080 OS: Windows 10 Home Games: 60K+ currently imported LaunchBox is installed on a 500GB SSD and the ROMs/images are being pulled from a Seagate 5TB HDD. I started small and promptly fell in love so I instantly purchased a lifetime license followed by a lifetime EmuMovies sub. The latter is probably going to cause me to move my LaunchBox install to a standard hard drive. I have many systems left to import and I've already chewed through 100GB for related media. I haven't used BigBox much, but the main interface has gotten progressively slower and is almost unusable. Scrolling can take 10 seconds or more for the system to even begin displaying results. Am I just reaching the limit of what I should be importing? It was certainly not snappy when I was in the 25K game range, but after loading my MAME set, that is when things went south.
