NeoCD does. I made CHD's from my bin/cues. Saves a ton of space.

According to the docs, it only supports single file bin/cue images. Yours may have multiple files. https://github.com/libretro/FBNeo/blob/master/src/burner/libretro/README.md Neogeo CD doesn't work, why ? There are several things to know : You need a copy of neocdz.zip and neogeo.zip in your libretro system directory You need to add --subsystem neocd to the command line Supported format are ccd/sub/img iso (trurip), and single file MODE1/2352 bin/cue (use utilities like "CDmage" to convert your iso if needed) Or try switching to the NeoCD core or MAME. I use NeoCD because it can skip CD loading.

That would only work if you're using the neocd core. (for clarification: the NeoCD core is different than the FBNeo core) I would double check your bios files. Mine seem to be a bit larger that what you posted, unless things have changed in the past year. If bios files look good, then I've have to point towards your cd-rom images and formats. Are they bin/cue, iso, etc? Do you receive some type of error when attempting to run?

Do you have the correct bios for the core? I use the neocd (2019) core and it has support for the same bios files that MAME supports. I'm sure FBNeo does also, but might want to double check. For neocd, you need to put your bios files under the /retroarch/system/neocd folder. Check that also for FBNeo.

I'm using MAME standalone, an older version (.201). I only update MAME every other year or so. Here are my settings that may help you get going with MAME. I have a channelf.zip bios file in my MAME bios folder or place it with your other MAME roms. Its been a while since I've set this one up, not sure if there were extra hiccups with this one.

If using the Mupen core: "Mupen64Plus-Next OpenGL" As far as I know where are no 3DO bezels made yet, but the config folder name would be 4DO, named after the 3DO emulator core. Again go into RA and load the core you're looking into and you can see the name at the bottom left.
-
I would call it a "work in progress". We have to remember this isn't solely for LaunchBox/BigBox. It's for windows RetroArch users. This started and continues to be driven by the RetroPie implementation. We PC users have more options for selecting different emulator cores, which may or may not be available in the current version of the installer. Sure, there are some gaps; but I bet those will be filled over time. Have fun figuring this stuff out. It's a hobby, after all!

Config folder name should be "Stella" or "Stella 2014" depending on the core your are using, as mentioned before with FB Alpha 2012. As far as showing the default system bezel when a game bezel is not found, you can try this. This should be taken care for you, but if its not: Example for Atari, using Stella. Create or edit the Stella.cfg file under config/Stella add these lines or edit... input_overlay = ":/overlays/Atari-2600.cfg" input_overlay_enable = "true" input_overlay_opacity = "1.000000" Make sure Atari overlay cfg and image file are there under overlays.
-
Did you make sure this setting was empty in retroarch.cfg? Did have anything pointing to the overlay you are seeing? input_overlay = "" If the Atari core (Stella I assume) does not find a bezel, again because of ROM naming or other issues, it will fall back to the global default setting. That will either show the last saved overlay (if you had save_config_on_exit = "true"), or if empty.... show nothing.
-
Open the retroarch.cfg file in the root folder of your installation and look for config_save_on_exit setting. Make sure it is false. config_save_on_exit = "false" Then make sure the input_overlay setting is empty. input_overlay = ""

Awesome! Glad you got it sorted.

If you're using FB Alpha 2012 as the core... make sure you have a config folder named the same, with the bezel project config files within. You don't need a MAME folder if you're not using MAME. I normally don't use FB Alpha, but I installed just to see what might be going on. I did not have any issues. Here is my config folder with renamed folder to "FB Alpha 2012". Here is my overlay folder where the ArcadeBezels should be located. Here is 1941 running.
-
Then rename to FB Alpha 2012. A way to check for the proper folder name for a core is when loading a core through Retro Arch; check the name within the parenthesis, like Arcade (FB Alpha 2012). Or the name after the RA version number in the bottom left after core is loaded.
-
OK, this might be the issue if you are using the latest MAME core. I did not see a config folder for the latest MAME core. Maybe @dragon57 can confirm. Try renaming the config folder for MAME 2003 to just MAME (or any of the MAME folders you see). /config/MAME 2003 to /config/MAME See if they will show then... let us know.
-
Which core are you using for arcade?
-
9 times out of 10 it is the ROM name. The rom file names must match the bezel config file names. Look at this thread...
-
You did nothing wrong. There are several configs missing from the bezel sets. Like roms named with revisions, i.e. (REV 1), (REV B), etc... What I needed up doing was making a copy of the parent game bezel config file and renaming the copy to match the rom name. Just rename the config in the config\<core>\ folder. I know, it's a pain. I'm not sure how the windows installer handles this, but you can add this line to the core override config. input_overlay = "./overlays/GameBezels/NES/Nintendo-Entertainment-System.cfg" Make sure a Nintendo-Entertainment-System.cfg and Nintendo-Entertainment-System.png are in the \overlays\GameBezels\NES\ folder. For example I use Mesen as my NES emulator core of choice (ATM). So in \config\Mesen\ there should be a Mesen, cfg file there. If not create one and add the line above. If no matching game bezel config is found, then it will fall back to the core override config.
-
Find this config entry and make sure it is false, if it is true. config_save_on_exit = "false" At least, that should keep the bezel from being saved for all games. I've noticed, in newest RA version, that the core override configs do not honor this setting in my setup.
-
Did you also modify the .cfg files under the config\<core you are using>\ folder?

RetroHumanoid Cinematics & Refried Theme

FYI, Just a quick note to point out a typo in the Queso Fresco Addon for the Magnavox Odyssey 2 "Addons\ _Consoles" folder. Magnavox is being Odd... Was scratching my head why the Artwork wasn't showing for Magnavox Odyssey 2. -
I assume you're asking about the matching of bezels to ROMs? The Bezel Project guys are using the No-Intro naming conventions. So if you're using No-Intro sets, you should be golden. If using TOSEC, Good, or other ROM sets, you will need to rename your files or edit the configs manually.

I do not use Rocket Launcher, but... The Bezel Project team is currently working on porting the rPi install script to windows. Release is TBA. I do have an unreleased LaunchBox plugin that can help with this, although I have found some of their arcade/mame bezels have incorrect aspect ratios and some configs will need to be manually adjusted on a one to one basis. PM me if interested in this. A few forum users have helped me test this, but I have put it on hold since there is an official install script coming. Otherwise, if using the stand alone version of MAME, you can get bezels packs here or elsewhere and place them in the artwork folder under your MAME install folder.
