ojed4r Posted June 2 Posted June 2 (edited) Ok, I finally got the time to test @deathshakespeare updated plugin on v13.27 and see if the bug I mentioned earlier could be fixed. Unfortunately, the bug still happens even with the "Close Extra LaunchBox/BigBox processes" option enabled. I even tried to tinker with adding a startup screen delay and enabling shutdown screens but it keeps happening. It's definitely a LaunchBox issue. Besides that, I didn't have any other major issues with the plugin, it works fine on v13.27 with the games I tested it with. While reading the future changelog for v13.28, I see that there will be a new feature that maybe will get rid of this bug: "New Feature: Added a new shutdown progress window that shows what LaunchBox or Big Box is doing while closing, with a force-close option if shutdown hangs" @faeran @JoeViking245 @AstroBob Maybe they are looking into it? smargorps Posted June 3 Posted June 3 (edited) @deathshakespeare New beta, no worky again Not surprising since I think it sounded like you might have been hard-coding it to 13.27. Maybe it's just another number change to kick it along to the next version? I have noticed for the last couple betas, each update, there is a start-up error and then I can't get into the ACM UI, something about bad mount point, I should grab screenshots but I haven't. But then I restart LB and it works again. Seems like maybe the config is weird for the first boot. I can try to get the errors if it matters, I've just gone along with it. But either way, yeah, new beta, it does the error I'm used to, but then it "works", I can get to the UI.. But when I actually try to run a game, we're back to the 7-zip error from before. Not the biggest deal, and I don't expect you to want to come back to fix every version, but I need the plug-in, and this new beta is already so nice with a couple of these new features.. 😢 But I'll just downgrade again and hang out on 13.27 in the meantime. edit: I missed the startup error, but this is the error I see when trying to go to the ACM UI on the first boot. Then I restart LB and it's fine Edited June 3 by smargorps 2 Quote

On the new changelog there seems to be a .NET 10.0 update. Every time they update that component something gets broken along the way, like the bug I've been experiencing since v13.19, as that was the first version that had the .NET 9.0 update. Would love to have this essential feature be available through LB and not having to worry about bugs or compatibility issues. I hope that the plugin manages to work for the next update. Thank you so much for your work! 1 Quote
deathshakespeare Posted June 3 Posted June 3 @ojed4r and @smargorps This is a new version. It solves a few issues with the Lauchbox\core folder, and a few other errors I found while testing. As always, on my end it's working good. I hope it works for you as well. Feel free to send error screens and logs, I'll do what I can to try and help. These fixes are all possible thanks to @fraganator that left us the code for this essential plugin. ACM221.zip 1 1 Quote
smargorps Posted June 4 Posted June 4 @deathshakespeare Thank you so much again! So quick too. Just needed to re-set the cache location and a couple other settings, but otherwise started right up, no errors. Really appreciate it! 1 1 Quote
gmonsoon Posted Saturday at 11:59 PM Posted Saturday at 11:59 PM Any idea how ACM works with something like RPCS3 when the games are in folders, and the target launch is an eboot? Quote
