gwardys
I know it's a little early, but there's not yet a platform to start cataloging Nintendo Switch games. With under two weeks to go, how does this actually get added?
Lordmonkus
It would be added like any other platform. You can simply add it yourself along with metadata and images. And then of course people can add it to the database with metadata and images. But saying it's a little early is a giant understatement. SentaiBrad
It's never too early really, but Jason would need to add it. There would be little reason to add it because it'll be a long time before an emulator crops up, but yea.
neil9000
When a emulator does arrive it would be great to already have the DB ready to go though, this is why we have so much missing data in other platforms, it would be good to get in on the ground floor and build it up over time. DOS76
I agree with Neil being proactive about a systems images and data is a good idea.
gwardys
Agreed -- It would be easier to keep a database up to date now rather than try and hunt all of this information years later. For what it's worth, there are already have platforms for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 which sets precedent as well.
spycat
I don't see why it shouldn't be added. After all the LaunchBox Games Database currently has the PS3 and PS4 platforms, and neither of these consoles can be emulated from a game playing aspect.
FistyDollars
I say add it. All other current gen platforms are already added, so it should be too. (plus, if it's anything like Nintendo's other systems, it'll get emulated pretty soon)
