InsideSmoke Posted July 29, 2018 Author Posted July 29, 2018 ill try importing a game with the files manually Quote
Lordmonkus Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 Remove the bin files from the import with the remove button. Also when you import only pick the cue files, Use your file manager go to the folder where you keep all your PS1 games. In the search box type in *.cue, it will show you all the cue files you have in that folder and any sub folders, highlight them all and drag them into LB to start the importer and only the cue files will import. 1 Quote

DOS76 Posted July 29, 2018 Posted July 29, 2018 Well I'm fresh out of ideas then if you files work without LB and they are configured correctly I don't know why they aren't working as long as you have it pointing to the cue file instead of the bin file Quote
InsideSmoke Posted July 29, 2018 Author Posted July 29, 2018 yeah, me too. thank for trying to help me. ill work it out sooner or later. Quote
Zombeaver Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 As has been said, you're importing the wrong files. You need the .cues not the .bins. Changing the extension isn't going to work because that's still not going to be the right filename based on your screenshot - that would mean it'd still have "(track 1)" in the filename which is wrong. 1) Remove the games from you LB library 2) Go into the folder where the games are located and use windows search for ext:cue and then drag those files directly into the LB UI and use the import wizard OR 2) Use the import wizard as normal and then on the final screen where you're confirming what to import, click the top of the filetype column to sort them and then select everything that isn't a .cue and press the delete key on your keyboard Import the right files and it will work. DOS76 Posted July 30, 2018 Posted July 30, 2018 doh I totally missed the fact he had track files most of my bin cue files are 2 files identically named so changing the extension would normally work but yeah I totally botched that one. Quote

InsideSmoke Posted August 1, 2018 Author Posted August 1, 2018 Solved. I had to make a new retroarch entry in associated platforms identical to the default with platform, core, and default emulator. then delete the original entry. it seems like some sort of bug because all the information i entered to point it to the core is exactly the same as launchbox was trying to use before. hopefully if someone else has similar problem with the mednafen psx core or any other they could try this. not sure why it worked but it did. derekDemara Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 I am having the same issue running psx hw libretro through RA, everything works fine. Once launching in LB I get nothing. these games worked just fine a week ago. Please help. Quote
InsideSmoke Posted August 2, 2018 Author Posted August 2, 2018 (edited) Did you try creating a new entry for psx with the core and delete the original, like I did above? That solved it for me Edited August 2, 2018 by InsideSmoke Spelling error Quote
derekDemara Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 yes I have tried creating new platforms for atari 2600, 5200 and 7800. No such luck. do you guys think that maybe I should try and load the backup from the files? Quote
InsideSmoke Posted August 3, 2018 Author Posted August 3, 2018 Can you post a screenshot of your associated platforms window? Not sure if I will be any use but someone else might notice something Quote
Retro808 Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 @InsideSmoke He started another thread on the issue and figured did end up figuring out what was wrong. Quote
derekDemara Posted August 3, 2018 Posted August 3, 2018 So I found the solution. somehow allow quotations was check marked in my retroarch emulator settings. I unchecked it and everything is back to normal. Quote
