sega cd 32x Sega CD 32X Emulation / Organization

Hi guys, I am a little confused here about the few Sega CD 32X games around. I have imported them in LB as Sega CD 32X separated platform and running them through pico core in Retroarch with no success.

I would like to know if this is the correct core and if you guys are aligning these games with plain 32X ones or maybe with Sega CD?

Also, is a bios required to run these games?

I have them as their own category under the Pico core they work fine

Yes, a bios is required for anything Sega CD related including 32X CD games.

Hi guys, reviewing your comments and doing some more research I have been trying on my own but still not successful with 32X CD games.

It ll looks set up correctly did you open RA load the Pico core and check the md5 checksums RA is looking for and make sure they match the bios files you have.  To see what RA is looking for load the core and then go to info

Yes, the md5 checksums are correct (I am running Sega CD and 32X with no issues). The issue is that the cd 32x games are not working.

okay then unless there are  issues with your actual rom files then I have no clue what can be wrong with it at this point as it all appears to be setup correctly.

Make sure you aren't using CHD files for the 32x CD games. Pico cant read CHD cd files, and Pico IIRC is the only emulator that runs 32x CD games. So you'll want something like a Bin/Cue setup for these games.

You nailed it mate! Still haven't checked if it's working in bin+cue but my files are chd so that must be it. 

May be a noob question but how do I revert chd's into their original form?

I'm not 100 on this but the tool CHDmon that is for converting games to CHD inside of MAME may be able to revert them back

Yeah, your options are to find chdman and follow these instructions, either by using command prompt or a bat file:https://forums.bannister.org/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=90978

Or finding bin/cue versions of the 32x CD games. I'm sure if you poked around the web it wouldn't be too difficult to find those files and it will save you the grief of trying to figure out chdman, even if isn't that complex of a tool.

Is there a unified video, clear logo and system them to divide the CD 32X games?

sorry to bump this up but i'm having a hard time setting op x32cd.

I have all my roms in x32 format, tested them in RA and they all work in RA.
But when i try to load them in launchbox nothing happens :s 
Any idea's? All my other systems worked flawless.

Yes i have added them as sega x32 cd in launchbox and yes i have the picodrive core to launch the games with ? .

If you go to tools manage emulators and double click on RetroArch then go to the associated platform tab is there an entry of Sega 32X CD? That platform isn't there by default so if you didn't add it it won't be there.

Hi, i cant seem to get these working - i have the bios in system folder and roms etc - will not load on LB. Please help
