stensgaard
just found another one! the game Pop Flamer has the scores listed at the top like this: 1UP High Score 2UP AAAAAA BBBBBB CCCCCC when you play the 1UP score changes .. but even if you score higher than the High Score that score does NOT change! so when your first game is over the High Score is submitted as your score! Then if you play a second time and you beat the high score on your first try THAT score is now submitted .. lol so it almost works .. it just uploads the High Score when it should upload the 1UP score this test was done using mame 0.
stensgaard
found another kinda strange "bug" ... but it looks like DigDug scores fail to upload if they are over 40.000 or there about!? i have had multiple scores upload, but non higher than 38.080, I know it's nothing fancy! so far it launchbox has failed to upload a score of 44.750 and one of 56.860 and another one I forgot to take a picture of ... only thing I can find that these scores have in common is that they are over 40k ... I started deleting the nvram before each run to see if that was it, but it's not! I always test if the highscore server is online before and after a run (by loading the score list) .. and as said before I have successfully uploaded multiple lower score for this exact game... just to check I just ran a game in an old version of mame 0.236 (the first were dome with 0.270) and it too failed to upload a score of 47.560.... so something is rotten in the state of denmark update .. reading the logs .. this line shows up everytime digdug failes to upload a score! "Wrong STAGE value (0x0B) encoding detected" So maybe it's the part of the digdug.xml that defines the stage that get's triggered once you reach a specific (2 digit?) stage and not the score as I first thought!? Someone PLEASE help! Edited November 9 by stensgaard
patrickfx
Unfortunate that the best feature of mame not work on retroarch. No fault to bugbix of course. Just bad
