Hey all, I thought I'd start this topic for anyone who's having trouble getting their MAME high scores to upload. First off, if you haven't updated to version 10.13, please do, as that does fix a numb

Hi Jason, Thanks for coming back. I have resolved the issue after downloading hiscore.dat file for mame220. For people who might be running mameui64, here it goes: There should be a folder named "hi"

If a user takes direct issue with you, or anyone else for that matter, about a high score please let us know. We already had one such instance and it is uncalled for. Jason will likely remove the scor

There was a change with MAME. The link has the replacement bublbobl.xml.  Copy it into \LaunchBox\ThirdParty\hi2txt\hi2txt.zip (replacing the existing one inside the zip).

I recently played "Columns" and got a score of 9k or so. It showed up as 4 billion and the in game initials that I entered showed up as question marks on the leaderboard. Can this score be removed? Thanks!

Hi Jason, i'm updating the built in hi2txt.zip with the latest xml containing new games added https://github.com/GreatStoneEx/hi2txt-xml/tree/master/src/main

I have to do that everytime LB gets updated or the hi2txt.zip will automatically update in the next LB releases?

As you can see, i set a new score but the log says "No new scores found to upload!"

Yes, LaunchBox updates will overwrite changes to that file.

Will you include the updated hit2txt.zip and hi2txt_defaults.zip files in the next LB releases?

today i downloaded the latest mame version there is no mame.ini nor plugin.ini ; only a ui.ini but there are no # PLUGINS OPTIONS or # SCRIPTING OPTIONS.

what should i do now? 

Also i can't seem to find any info about any highscores in the game details.

Someone should make a vid for this.

Just wanted to give thanks to everyone involved, this is a great feature!!

Played dozens of classic games and everything is working fine with the hiscore system :-)

Found a bug on Monster Bash (monsterb) today though. Did a new hiscore of 17300, that was uploaded as 7301.

That's going to be  MAME thing.  MAME saved the high score as "7301".  Though you did get 1st place. ;) 

D:\hi2txt>hi2txt.exe -r monsterb.hi

When you view high scores in-game, is it showing 1st place as 17,300?

Yes, it shows 17300.

I had not realised that I could open the *.hi file myself with hi2txt. Thanks for pointing that out.

So I guess I would need to report a bug with mametsters.org ?

If it's actually showing in-game correctly [17300], MAME has fulfilled their part. So no.

Any chance you're actually playing monsterb2.zip?

No, it's monsterb.

MAME has fulfilled its part, so did hi2txt.

So the problem in this case must be MAME's hiscore plugin. I haven't used mametesters.org before, but it has a section for plugins. I think this is where this bug report would belong.

On a different note, under Launchbox's Community Leaderboards - Top Players:  If I click on any given player all of that person's hiscores are listed, including rank.

If I click on my own name it will say: "could not download hiscores". Is this a bug or am I missing something here?
