C-Beats Posted August 9, 2024 Posted August 9, 2024 Badge location and size are driven by the theme. You'd have to alter the theme to change either. 1 Quote

Checked the LaunchBox logs and there were no errors relating to the Custom Badges. I [generically] used the Amazon image file so it would show distinctly as I don't have anything Amazon on my system. Colorman3605 Posted February 17, 2025 Posted February 17, 2025 (edited) The problem is not in the lack of display of the badges but in the fact that the bar that in my case displays the status is not displayed. Edited February 17, 2025 by Colorman3605 Quote
Colorman3605 Posted February 17, 2025 Posted February 17, 2025 Another example: with dll without dll Quote

Cineaste Posted July 30, 2025 Posted July 30, 2025 I accidentally deleted my badges when I purged the plugin folder. Decided to recompile but they no longer show in LB? I've tried renaming and using different IDs to no avail. The plugin badge option appears in LB but the image file isn't visible (using custom field entries as an example). Can I clean the cache somehow? Quote

With the advent of the new Media Packs introduced in v13.21, the embedded image in [new] Custom Badges are not getting extracted. Manually adding the image file you used into the Nostalgic Platform Badges folder and naming it after the plugins’ Unique Id will allow the badge to show. There is a Bug Report submitted (is not publicly visible yet), so the developers are aware. 1 1 Quote

BDeRbDaMaStA Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Hello All, It seems as in Launchbox Version 13.26, new LB Custom Badges created are no longer being read/visible. For example, I created a custom badge named "test" for a new set of games. I utilized the custom fields for the badge, and although I can select the badge under ->Badges -> Plugin Badges, the icon doesn't show, similar to what user Cineaste stated above. I followed the steps to what Mod JoeViking245 recommended above, by moving the png to the Images -> Badges folder as well, no success. What's bizarre is that I created a few badges back in 2025 and they still work to this day in 13.26. What I decided to do was install an older version of Launchbox (13.20) and as soon as Launchbox loaded, it immediately loaded the "test" badge as well as all the other badges, with no issues I reinstalled 13.26 and, once again, the badge did not load I have created multiple instances, with different names, no success. Is anyone available to assist or is this a known bug with 13.26? I am going to attempt installing 13.20 -13.26 to see if that makes it "stick" Quote

I installed 13.22 but it did not return. It seems as if whatever was changed in 13.21 conflicts with the .dll or images somehow Quote

The image then needs to go into \LaunchBox\Images\Media Packs\Badges\Nostalgic Platform Badges\ folder. Similar to what I mentioned above. And also where you should also see your year-2025 badge images. 26 minutes ago, BDeRbDaMaStA said: What's bizarre is that I created a few badges back in 2025 and they still work to this day in 13.26. This is because when the new Media Packs were implemented, LB copied those images from the old location to the new. Subsequent custom badges that get added don't/won't show [until you manually copy/move them]. You might be able to install v13.20, add you Custom Badges [verify they're working as expected], then update that to 13.26. Or, just copy them as described above. 30 minutes ago, BDeRbDaMaStA said: Is anyone available to assist or is this a known bug with 13.26? This is [still] a known bug since v13.21. Though a bug report had been created quite a while back, it was never made public as it was "awaiting approval from the admins". Just now went to see if there were any updates, but can't seem to locate my initial report. [see above for 'the assist'] 1 Quote
