Monsterclip Posted October 15, 2022 Share Posted October 15, 2022 For me, 12.15 started nightly attract mode lock ups. It would run for days before that. 12.16 doesn't fix it. I had always been using the Windows Media Player option because VLC would lock up for me. I'll switch back to VLC and give it a shot. While in Attract Mode, choppiness is noticeable and sometimes causes second monitor (used for marquees) to change to a different marquee while attract mode is still spinning. Monsterclip Posted November 18, 2022 Share Posted November 18, 2022 After version 13.0 update, Attract Mode will go for about 6 or 7 hours, then crash completely. Before (12.15/12.16), it would lock up and I'd have to close it down. Now, it will just close itself down. No error or anything that I see - when I pass by my machine again, it's just not running. I know Jason has an army of test machines and all were started with the 13.0 official release before we deployed it, and as of last night he reported in that all were still running. We did fix a number of stability things for this release, so whatever @Monsterclip is running into is something we haven't seen before, I'm guessing. Hmm, any other info I can get you, just let me know. Thanks! If you open Event Viewer you want to look inn Windows Logs > Application. Then once that grid loads up you'd look for a event log where the Level is "Error" and the source is "Application Error" Then look for one that mentions the faulting application name being BigBox.exe. Typically these come in pairs. One just says that Big Box faulted, and then another that has the actual error. The actual error is typically more useful, but both could be helpful.
