Hey Jonny Modlin, another username I see. I did tell you twice I dont want to work with you anymore because you keep sending me the same marquees time after time that wont make this collection. The only one surprise you did find is the New Sinbad 7 marquee, finally a good qualoty image of this seemingly rare marquee, this marquee did make the collection.

@Mr. RetroLust I flagged his second account. Confirmed he was using the same IP address as his JonnyModlin account. 

@JonnyModlin I did not ban you for your actions, but another attempt by you to use a different account to request marquee images and you will be banned.

Maybe you can tell me why, but I reinstalled Windows, Launchbox, etc. and now Launchbox ceased to "see" your marquees in the "Arcade - Marquees" directory. I did a scan for files and Launchbox finds the files are "not in use". Do you know if there is any extra step to make Launchbox use the marquees with the rom names instead of its usual naming convention?

Only thing I can think of is look at the image priority settings in launchbox options, maybe it's unchecked or something. Launchbox should read the rom naming convention as well out of the box.

Thanks for the quick response. To test if my installation was screwed up, I just installed Launchbox from scratch to my "C:" drive. I imported the full MAME romset, latest version, and downloaded just one arcade marquee so the app could create the needed folders. I copied your marquees to the newly created "Arcade - Marquee" folder under the Images folder, and unfortunately marquees are not detected by Big Box. I tried refreshing the image cache too, and only "Arcade - Marquee" is selected as marquee preference in the main Launchbox app. Maybe some recent update changed Launchbox's behavior and it does not detect rom naming convention anymore?

Did you correctly set up the marquee screen in big box settings after installation? (Just to make sure) Also if that was done, have you tried renaming a marquee to it's title and dpes that work?

Thanks! I was able to get it OK now. I imported the full set as NA 2 players, and pictures started showing up in my secondary monitor. Man, after the 5.5 update this is looking GORGEOUS! 

oh, have I been putting all these files into the wrong folder???

 

I have been putting them into my MAME\MARQUEE folder.  not the LAUNCHBOX\IMAGES\ARCADE-MARQUEE  folder -     there are a lot that show up anyway ... maybe they were put in that folder when i first installed Launchbox. ??

 

 

I noticed that in marquees update 5.5 that i saw varthj has english instruction cards instead of japanese instruction cards. Thank you for the marquee collection 5.5 update and look forward to future upcoming marquees updates.

I have noticed the marquee for  SKY LANCER is spelt incorrectly..  it has a "S" when it should be a "C"

Could be a bootleg marquee, i've seen similar cases.

I've found the correct one, it's in the next final update.

- Added 329 marquees, this finishes the project. I'll be merging the update packs with the main collection to one download soon and in the process check if there are any bugs in file naming, format or image size.

This love never ends I'm sure we can find someting better in time for existed works.
