  1. I have this consistently as well. As the others mentioned, very rarely I'll get clean load.
  2. sungodak is right about how to go about it; the first method specifically is how I attempted to do it in the past. However, for whatever reason, my MAME setup would overwrite the ctrlr setting in my ini and reset it to blank each time I would run MAME. This is after I would change the read and write settings on the ini, without any luck. I have set the whole file to read only as well, which does work, but I'm not a big fan of that method. It might just be specific to my system, but for whatever reason adding the parameter was the only way that worked for mine.
  3. Yea, that's what I would do
  4. What works for me is creating or downloading the ctrlr file I want, and putting it in the ctrlr folder. Then, in Launchbox, I add to the MAME emulator the parameters -ctrlr MAME (that's the name of my ctrl file, could be whatever you call it). This loads the ctrl file with the emulator, and it works consistently for me.
  5. Perfect. Thanks again seaview!
  6. Any chance you could knock one more out? It's Backbreaker Vengeance, I just added it to the PS3 and 360 database recently. Either way, the ones you have made look smooth as hell.
  7. Awesome. Thank you again!
  8. Hey Jason, Dolphin's shutdown screen is not working properly for me since the latest beta. The screen says black and I have to alt-tab to get back to Big Box. Not sure what changed, I didn't touch anything with Dolphin in the meantime.
  9. Thanks so much seaview, you are a legend. If you get any time down the road, I just had a couple more left for my collection. Thanks again. Backbreaker (PS3 and Xbox 360) NFL BLitz (PS3 and Xbox 360)
  10. If by any chance anyone is still taking requests, I'd like to put one in for Blitz The League II for PS3 and Xbox 360.
  11. Hey Jason, after going through all the emulators I can say the startups work really well. The only issue I had on mine was when I exit Xenia; it looks like the emulator switches from fullscreen (I launch with the -fullscreen parameter) to windowed for a second, and then it exits properly. It's very minor, otherwise everything looks very good. Thanks again!
  12. Also hoping I can gain some understanding about the delay time as well, because for at least one emulator it seems to have made the transition less smooth. For instance, prior to the delay option, RPCS3 would load once the game went fullscreen, regardless of how long it was (some take longer to load, build shaders, etc). However, now, with a 5 second delay for example, on some games it's ending the loading screen while RPCS3 is still loading the game. Would there be any possibility of having both options for the startup screen? Because with 9.2 beta 1, it was much more seamless. Either way, thank you for the great work!
  13. Turns out I was wrong about Dolphin, it is working well. The two emulators that don't work for me are PCSX2 (as someone previously noted) and Xenia.
  14. Great work Jason, very cool addition. This works perfectly with RPCS3, it's actually a big improvement because the startup screen hides the emulator startup/loading very well. For some reason Dolphin is just putting up a black screen for me, and I thought I was using exclusive fullscreen. Either way, well done.
  15. Hey everyone, wanted to see if anyone can help me out on this. I'm trying to get Cxbx-Reloaded to go fullscreen with AHK. However, somewhere along the way Cxbx changed it so that the window title is "Cxbx-Reloaded (Date)" for each version. Is there a way to change the script so that I can still use it even with newer versions? (Besides just copy/pasting the version name into the window title)
  16. Hey Jason, thanks for the walkthrough. You were right; one of my playlist XML's were corrupted; deleted it and now all is well. Thanks!
  17. Hey @Jason Carr, and other LB vets, I have a specific question. To make a long story short, in the process of building a new PC and migrating an HD with LB on it, the HD got reformatted and I had to use a recovery software program to restore all the files. Now all the files all look to be there, but when I try to start LB on the drive, I see the initializing screen for a second, and then LB closes. Is there a log or anything that would be helpful to share that can pinpoint the problem? I tried reinstalling version 9.0 again as well, and did not have any success. Thanks in advance
  18. Hey @Jason Carr, was there some way to update full MAME sets as new versions come out? Do we just run the wizard again each time?
  19. The games in my playlists are also out of order as well
  20. Hey everyone, Could someone give me some insight as to how the MAME playlists autogenerated by the full set importer are organizing the playlists? They don't seem to be in alphabetical order, and even when I change them to sort by title they are still in a very random order. Maybe I did something wrong when creating the playlists? Thanks in advance
  21. Thank you guys for the help. My next question is: how do I create a list on the main menu where I have the systems organized into console, arcade, computer, etc?
  22. Hey everyone, I've been using LB for a few months now and I really enjoy it. I'm still trying to nail down exactly how playlists and platforms work. What I would like to have is my current setup, which is general platforms (ie Arcade, N64, SNES etc.) all on the main menu when I open BB. However, once I pick a selection, such as Arcade, what I'd like to have is different lists such as "Capcom games", "Midway games", etc., along with a list for "All Games". How exactly do I set these lists up within a platform/console? Thanks in advance
  23. The best versions are the laserdisc ones, which can be run through Daphne Singe. When I had Hyperspin I had them set up, I haven't attempted to get them working with LB yet.
  24. Well my LB updated to beta 5 and now it's working. No idea what changed. I'm not getting the error anymore.
  25. Sounds good, thanks Jason. If it's helpful at all I'm using stand-alone MAME as my emulator, and still getting the "Rom does not exist" error.
