  1. If you're referring to the welcome screen for new versions/installs there is a checkbox in the lower left to stop it from appearing, then press close button. We can try to help you through this but premium doesn't change this process at all and you'd have seen it before making your purchase. Again if you're more specific we can walk you through why you're not getting any, nothing has been changed in regard to the ability to grab them in a very long while. Currently there are I believe 5 emulators that we do this for you. In the latest version (in beta) we have made it possible for users to create plugins that do the same so the number of emulators this will be possible for will only continue to grow. Again though, NOT a premium feature. Not sure how you came to that conclusion as Android has FAR less themes than PC. If you don't see something you like in Themes Manager you can look on the forums for even more options.
  2. We don't plan to get rid of these options as they generally work for everything. The added arguments are for those who REALLY customize their command line to do more non-traditional things like load config files via CLI. It also helps with some emulators that have more problematic command line arguments that don't generally work with the standard LB process flow. I realize the term "parens" and "brackets" aren't always the same across regions. We are referring to '(' and ')' not '[' and ']'. That being said, yes this is used in the logic to match DB items. Namely we're looking for publisher. This is mostly for games that have two games with the same title but different publisher. In the DB the title should be "Title (Publisher)" which also corresponds to how the ROMs are typically named. This process should do a better job picking the DB item that matches the ROM in question.
  3. @dmjohn0x appreciate you trying to help the community but you can't link to sites that allow you to download copyright protected material. I removed the links for you.
  4. %romfilename% - Filename of the ROM WITHOUT extension %romextension% - Extension of the ROM file (ie, .rom) %romlocation_noquotes% - Path to the ROM without quotes %noromfile% - Replaced with empty string, suppresses rom file being added to end of the command line
  5. MAME games didn't come in a Box. They are arcade cabinets. Because of this most WON'T have Box images (nor should they). We recommend for Arcade games that you select "Advertisement Flyer - Front" and use that as a box image for that platform. Also the GamesDatabase is populated by our userbase, if you notice a game is missing something feel free to upload an image to fill in the gap.
  6. What's in the folder? Like I said we don't ever use it so I'm not sure how best to help ya.
  7. If the image folder is deleted the cached images would be removed as well so shouldn't be an issue. @Lahrs I'd suggest setting the media limit to 1 and only grab images you need for your desired experience. Typically a Box, Logo, Background, Screenshot is enough. If you want vids you can grab those but they do take up quite a bit of hard drive space.
  8. Import all the ISO or CHD files, check the "Combine games with same title" box in the import, in the emulator make sure the Create a m3u checkbox is checked, then play your games. LaunchBox will make the m3u for you.
  9. You can. You can change where images are stored per platform per image type. You have to do so manually so moving a lot can be tedious but it CAN be done. Go to Tools > Manage > Platforms. Select the platform and press edit. Then go to the folders tab and change which folder(s) you want to change.
  10. Shouldn't be required. I did get the code changes in. Believe they'll make it into the next beta release. If I remember I'll ping ya and have ya confirm you see it corrected.
  11. Believe I have found the reason and am looking into ways to correct. Essentially, we are using your a summary call from RetroAchievements to get all your achievement progress. Seems you may have more (or you achieved those achievements long enough ago) that they don't actually appear in that summary call. There are some new endpoints I can leverage to get a more complete "completion" state from and so I may need to look into changing the call to use those. There isn't a great work around at this point other then selecting the games manually and NOT scanning after.
  12. I'll have to take a look at the two calls and see if one is setting a field the other isn't. Feels like there may be a data mismatch between the two.
  13. Sounds like you may have the media limit set on the process and a non-standard image priority set that is affecting the number of images grabbed.
  14. I've never heard of our app doing anything like this to a user's machine. The mouse stutter thing I've heard before, the rest is new. For the mouse stutter what usually is affecting it is having the "Use All Controllers" option when you don't have one plugged in. To disable that in LaunchBox go to Tools > Options. Scroll the left list all the way to the bottom and select "Game Controllers". There is a "Use All Attached Controllers" option. Make sure that's turned off.
  15. If you go to LaunchBox and go to that platform, what is your Image Type set to? I'd assume it's screenshots instead of Boxes. If you change it to Boxes then go back to BB does it correct it?
  16. I'll review the Ediit Game window code, we shouldn't be allowing you to save a game entry with a blank platform value. All the codebase assumes that the platform HAS a value in it and so not adding one can cause a lot of unforeseen issues. I've jotted it down as something to look into.
  17. That temp folder isn't the one we create. Ours is in \\LaunchBox\Metadata\Temp. You probably have a third party app or plugin in use doing it.
  18. In LaunchBox, go to Tools > Manage > Emulators. Select MAME and press Edit. In the window that appears is a text box labeled command line, in it remove the "-artwork_crop" (without quotes) bit and then press OK to save.
  19. Scanning should update the auto-pop playlist appropriately.
  20. Yeah, best bet is to just search for the term and delete what shows up. Another good word to search for is "shanghai". There is a series of mahjong games by that name that spans several consoles. Would be another way to narrow it down.
  21. The Platform Category hierarchy is determined by the data in \\LaunchBox\Data\Parents.xml
  22. IF you're referring to MAME I believe they all have the genre of "Tabletop / Mahjong". You could filter by that and then delete them all. You could do the same just searching for the string "mahjong" and deleting the search results.
  23. Means that the Portable checkbox in the Edit Game window has been checked for that game. This field isn't used by the app at all really, but I believe the initial intent was to allow people to mark which games were portable (meaning they could be moved with the LB install) and which weren't.
  24. You can scan your entire library by going to the Tools > Achievements > Scan for all games.
  25. To manage the Windows related auto-scan you'd want to go to Tools > Manage > Storefronts... and you can turn off/on certain storefronts there. Deleting a game auto-imported by that system SHOULD blacklist titles though, so unsure why'd you see them return.
