  1. Some of those are already in a scroll area which could make things a bit weird trying to add scrollable elements in it. I don't typically use star rating feature so I have to open up the theme/app and take a look at where I even stuck that element to see if I have the space to stick the community rating
  2. I've corrected all 4 on the website. You won't see the corrections in the DB file until tomorrow though because that process has already ran today. Thanks for the heads up!
  3. Select the games then Tools > File Management > (Bottom most option)
  4. There are ways to kinda/sorta do this but it's HEAVILY manual work and the app overall isn't really intended to be used with that workflow
  5. This should be entirely possible (though ideally you'd set the scrape as to Nintendo Entertainment System to get DB matches and art.
  6. You'd just add the games you want to see on the grid. That being said there is no logic to combine several platform items into one grid item. You wouldn't be able to right click it and say "Launch the SNES version"
  7. Not via Auto-Populate rules. You can create a manual playlist and only add the versions you want though.
  8. Sounds like the platform isn't being correctly set in the import. Can you run the import again and stop and take a snapshot of the page that asks what platform you're importing to? I'd suspect it incorrectly says "All"
  9. While that's been true in the past it's not 100% accurate currently. If there is a value in a parens we see if that value in parens is also present in the title of the DB game and if so use that as a first round match, if it can't be found THEN it's discarded. It helps us identify which game the ROM is a match to for platforms that had multiple titles for the same game.
  10. Are none, it wasn't used to make this theme
  11. Yeah, if you don't plan to rollback to a version before packs were implemented it's safe to remove that folder
  12. Sounds like that DLL got corrupted. Run the installer for that version over top of it (it WILL NOT remove your data/media) and see if that resolves. Make sure you point to R:\LaunchBox and NOT R:\LaunchBox\LaunchBox when doing so
  13. I mentioned it to the team. I can definitely see the confusion regarding there not just being a generic "Forums" link on the top level navbar. We'll see what they do with the suggestion moving forward.
  14. Could simply go directly to the forums instead of the homepage. Either by typing "forums" instead of "www" or using a bookmark.
  15. If you have Steam running on your computer make sure it's virtual controller stuff that is on by default is off. Sometimes it can be messing with system inputs in less than ideal ways.
  16. Help & Support > Technical forums will take you to this site. Also there is no login for the homepage because there's nothing to log INTO. GamesDB, Forums, and Feedback sites all have credentials and require logging in to fully utilize. The WWW does not.
  17. As far as I'm aware this should update the metadata. If you're not seeing it do so please file a bug report As far as your second question you can try the bulk image import in the Tools Menu. It has similar logic to the app regarding ability to tie an image to a game and I believe it does rename the file more appropriately as part of that import process. Regarding the logic used it's FAIRLY simple. We match images based on following criteria: The image filename is an exact match to the ROM filename (minus the extension) The image name is the same as the game title (invalid filename characters are turned into underscores for this logic) The image name is the same as the game title with a numeral suffix (ie Mario Bros-01.png) The image name is the same as the game title with a ID and numeral suffix (the ID is the game's ID and is used when the same platform has multiple games by the same name)
  18. Probably does it themselves using some batch process in an image editor. Has a script that you pass in the template and the Steam Poster and it spits out those. If you look in the forum download section you may be able to find a template with how-to steps. I know I've seen em around.
  19. We have monitoring systems we can utilize to keep track of the going ons in the DB, but we do rely on the community to come to us when there are problems as well. I reviewed several recent moderations and didn't see many that would ever raise a red flag. I do think more information could be potentially given than "Not", "Nop", "No", etc. though. That being said I can understand some of the moderators frustrations given how obviously wrong many of these submissions are. For example I reviewed several mod actions where "Poster" was the reason given and almost all of them was because an image was uploaded as something OTHER than the Poster image type the image belonged to. 600x900 images are pretty much exclusively Steam Posters and NOT Box - Front images (which is where a large number of those submissions were trying to place them). They were correctly identified as bad submissions and rejected because of it.
  20. Pick the platform, then click on any of the games in grid. Press CTRL+A to select all then CTRL+E to open bulk edit. Press Next, select Platform in the field drop down, then in the text box under it put "Sega Arcade" (without quotes) and then press next. Say no more changes. Say yes to all prompts that appear. Rinse and repeat with the other platforms.
  21. You forget to attach the error? Not seeing it. No need for apologies. I don't log on much over the weekends anyway.
  22. Big Box has native support to display images on a 2nd screen which is typically used for marquees. We have marquee images in our database as well as on our website for download that can be used. Big Box will also create a dynamic marquee with existing artwork when you don't have marquee artwork for a game by placing the logo over the background.
  23. Yeah, we really should. I'd do like @JoeViking245 said and create a ticket if one doesn't exist. I know I personally have expressed my desires to have a bit more guidance on the web page UI but I'm not real involved in that side of things to really monitor what is coming down the pipe and when. Will make it easier on the parts of the team making those calls if there a ticket to keep track of and keep it fresh in their mind.
  24. It'll show where ever your theme places them. Just have to enable the progress badge and it'll show.
