I just tested this again with 13.25 Beta !. Problem still persists. Still not sure what is causing this one. Dropping back to 13.23 again until another Beta release.
-
C-Beats, I meant automated in the fact that it just automatically enabled / migrated your clear logos to the pack. I just didn't read into how it worked first, and thought I could uninstall the pack. This removed all the art from that folder obviously. I have since read up on it more, and took a shortcut by dropping back to 13.20, then updating to 13.21 to avoid manually compiling all the images again. Sorry for sounding upset. I thought I had completely lost them at first, and many of them I had made myself. Thank you again for trying to help.

C-Beats I appreciate it! Usually I don't have to play catch up, see new features, and am able to figure it out. This one got me. I remember seeing it come down the pipe, but as I said I saw I couldn't remove something, and figured I'd tinker later. Whelp... Last night I guess I found out. I figured it was due to not knowing how the new media manager worked. I will read through, and hopefully figure out the issue I have. I still don't care for this automated process without a way to turn it off.

Ok... I was able to track them down. It didn't actually remove them from Platform > Clear Logos. However, even restoring a backup does not bring my logos back in place. Can someone please explain to me how to properly use this new media system so this does not happen again, or possibly turn this feature off? Again, previously I was able to edit anything I wanted. At first it would let me remove, and then it would automatically restore whatever it was that I removed. I guess I fully don't understand what is occurring here. My guess is that it created it's own pack, and if you try to edit anything it just auto restores? Yeah... that's no good. Is the only way to get my stuff back the way I had it is by manually adding them again? Smh... At least my art is not gone. That was what actually got me upset. I feel this was much easier when I could just add art to the platform itself or the folder and move on with my day. Did autopopulate from the folder get disabled too? It used to be that anything in the folder would automatically be added to said platform. My logos are still in those folders so what gives? I would also like to note the pack stating "if you no longer need this, feel free to uninstall" with no note saying your stuff will be completely removed from all platforms. Obviously I do not like this change much.

Alright guys... I need help. I have never had an issue editing my media in Launchbox. A few versions back I had tested out using dual screen with a marquee. It worked great, but some of the art was not what I wanted as the default. When going in to edit these entries, I found I was unable to remove certain images from a platform. Upon reading further I see a Media Manager has been added. Tonight I was trying to tinker around with it. I had removed the legacy pack (your backup from when Media Manager was created) in order to attempt to remove what images I did not want "locked" to the platform not knowing it would remove all the artwork I had already added into platforms. Now I am completely missing all of my personally made clear logos. Why on earth... The media manager doesn't let you edit jack! Why can I not turn this feature off so I am in control of my media again?! PLEASE TELL ME ALL OF MY CUSTOM MADE ART IS NOT LOST!!! And further more... If I did lose it by uninstalling that pack in attempt to edit my platforms, why is the art not in my trash bin to restore?! PLEASE TELL ME I DIDN'T LOSE IT ALL!!! I do not wish to spend all that time again... Yes I probably should have backed up, but this has never been a thing... At least without a notice saying it is going to fully remove something.

C-Beats I did as well to no luck. I'd also like to note I haven't adjusted those settings in probably 4 years and it was fine until now through all versions (on mine). I had never encountered this issue prior. Revert works.

After updating Launchbox to the latest 13.24, I noticed that it made mouse clicks almost impossible. Mouse movement is smooth, but left or right clicks are not registered unless clicking about 10 times in one second as if something is causing input lag. I have installed twice to the same problem. Even minimizing Launchbox proceeds to cause the issue while trying to work with other applications. I also noticed while this is occurring I get two Lav filter icons in my taskbar (one red, one white) that disappear if you try to mouse over them. As soon as I close Launchbox, the issue goes away. I have reverted back to 13.23, and can confirm this solves the issue. Before typing this, I updated one more time to 13.24 just to confirm again that this issue is tied to 13.24. No action necessary for me, I am fine, and will wait for another update. I just wanted to make sure we had this on record in case others experience the same. Thank you community, and devs as always!!!

Is anyone using the latest development builds of Redream?
neosean99 replied to crusadeRGP's topic in Troubleshooting
Crusade, I was having issues after 13.2 update. I could open games normally from within Redream, but they would open in half speed when opening from Launchbox / BigBox. I had to remove my previous setting of "Aggressive Startup Window Hiding" by going to Tools > Emulators > Redream > Edit > Startup Screen > and uncheck Aggressive Startup Window Hiding. This wasn't an issue previously... I haven't changed these settings in months. I went to fire up Sonic Adventures and was really thrown off. Hope you were able to solve your issue also! :) -
BigBox Graphical Glitching v11.3-11.6 *Solved - Page 3*
neosean99 replied to neosean99's topic in Troubleshooting
*Last update from me on this topic* It appears like our wonderful development team has added a note for this issue when in BigBox. If the Nahimic Service is running, it warns you of the glitching that can occur, and requests it to be disabled. I know Jason has stated 100 times since I made this post that it is not the fault of the Launchbox / BigBox application, so I am happy he added a helpful note. It has been really cool to see how many have helped out with this issue since we noticed it. Many have shared or pointed to this post and the wonderful folks on it that helped resolve the issue. You guys all rock, and on year 3... I couldn't be happier with this platform. ❤️ -
@Spottyfriend, I was not able to modify the config file. If I saved it, it would run once in fullscreen and reset any changes made (full screen true, etc). I was able to resolve following earthprime's easy script. Just wanted to chime in if you were still having issues. Kind of silly that Citra can't be set to fullscreen by default like EVERY OTHER EMU.

Faeran, I was able to resolve this with the last update for Launchbox. Not sure what was occurring. When I switched from this theme to the default it resolved it for a short period, and then reared its head again. I was only trying to edit images within game entries (covers, boxes, screenshots, etc) and it was acting as if something had those images open and therefor could not modify. This is resolved and was not caused by the theme. My apologies. Thank you for a great theme!

BigBox Graphical Glitching v11.3-11.6 *Solved - Page 3*

If you could provide screens of your services running when this is occurring maybe someone can help. -
I seem to be having an issue modifying images after this Theme is in place. I have confirmed there are no issues when I switch to the default theme. I get a message after trying to modify images for a game stating "Could not complete... xxxx due to being used by another process". This cancels any modifications I had performed. If you would like I can go gather a screenshot. Very odd.

Regarding previous questions asked, were you able to gather the information requested? Just seeing if this is still an issue for you. -
This theme is gorgeous. Absolutely love the info side panel, and the stylings of the overall menu. Something about rounded corners in UX... ;). I just found this yesterday thanks to ETA Prime's updated theme video. I kind of forgot you could theme out Launchbox too! I love it! Exactly what I was looking for. The only thing I would change is the ability to have the chosen "theme colors" show up on the Platform / Playlist menu on the left and the Launchbox icon at the top left. It's semi hard to see when something is selected without. Great work, and thank you for sharing.

@slydog43 Yikes, a handheld. Hopefully we can figure something out. Can you send us pics of your service listing while having the issue? *EDIT* Also, I was able to find this in searching for issue: Can you confirm you have combed over your updates for the device or if this is the issue you are having? -
I don't know if this helps, but as stated above the most recent versions of PCSX2 do not allow the support of this plug-in. It appears something on PCSX2's end has been altered. I was able to roll back to 1.7.0-dev-1288 and everything worked fine again. This version is fairly stable for me so I am ok, however... There has been much improvement with this emulator over the last 6 months or so, and I hate that I can't update without breaking this. I wish that PCSX2 would just make it so we could have this functionality built in. Everyone has begged for it for years. Everyone else does game specific configs (Dolphin, CEMU, RPCS3, etc). Hopefully this awesome plugin can be updated again so we can function with newer builds of PCSX2. Some have discussed the plugin not working on the latest versions of Big Box, and I cannot confirm. With a compatible version of PCSX2 the plug in has always functioned for me through all versions minus the hotfix over last Spring or so. In conclusion, IT WORKS! May have to roll back to an older version of PCSX2. It still functions in Big Box under current build. Pray for new update for this plug in

My findings on testing tonight are semi unexpected. I switched between the new Theme Builder and the Official quite a few different times. I'm confused. Performance on the TB version is better... in parts. The transitions between cover art and videos / screenshots are way different. TB seems to have the 3d flip transition coming into play where the Official did fades. Some images seem to pop in and then disappear. Some videos get weird artifacting as well which I did not see on the Official. My wheel performance was odd also. Once letting all the wheels load their images, I was still getting slow pop in for Logos compared to the Official. Scrolling is faster though by far! I hope this is fruitful, but for now I am going to resort back to the Official. I will keep an eye out. Regardless, a huge step in the right direction. Thank you for the efforts!

Confirmed it does NOT work. Oh well, I thought that might happen. Launchbox works great but when launching a game it crashes due to window switch. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN AWESOME!!! Certainly not Launchbox's fault.

Hey guys! I've been slowly testing out Retroarch and a few other emulators on the Quest 2. So far, I'm pretty impressed with what it can handle. I was curious if anyone has tried the new build on a Quest 2 yet. With a few other apps the Quest 2 seems picky about switching screens. Granted, running most out of Retroarch is fine... it would be killer to have Big Box in here without using my PC for anything. The goal is to have Gamecube and under on the go, but the beauty of Big Box would be very welcome. If no one has checked this out yet, I will post my results. Thanks!

I am so glad that this forum is so easy to locate, and solve this issue. Obviously it's quite common with many of us. The service needed to be disabled also comes installed with most of our audio drivers so... Yeah... Poor Jason and Co for having to deal with it. At first it does seem like it would be an issue with Launchbox / Big Box. lol Glad you got it solved!

@alec100_94 This plugin has been killer, and the standalone last year was great also!!! I have been risking it periodically and updating PCSX2 (and making backups previous to...). My last working build with this plugin was 1.7.0-dev-1288 (Sometime in May I think?). Tonight I downloaded 1.7.0-dev-1546, and now the configs do not apply. Everything is default. Not sure if you can pull any quick magic, but I wanted to give you a heads up if you weren't aware. I know you warned us that this may not work with current builds, but until now it was working great! I was able to roll back my PCSX2 version and keep ahold of my configs. Thank you again!!!

Hey guys! Today I just overhauled my theme choices and went back to the wonderful Colorful Theme by Viking! In doing so, none of my startup videos felt fitting to me. Some of you may feel this still doesn't fit, but with how my scheme is I really like it alot given the quick 30 minute whip up. Comes in 1080p flavor, clocks in at 22 seconds, and sits at 32.7mb! I feel at home now. I feel like I've been non stop tweaking this dang thing since I purchased about a year ago... but so worth it! I will never look back. Preview of my current build with the Paint Drip Startup: Thank you Viking for your fantastic design choices on this theme. My only ask would be to put clear logo's of the platforms/playlists in place of the regular text when on a home screen. Maybe place platform clear logos on the game screen also. After awhile you may forget which platform you were in lol. Very nit picky crap. The theme is fantastic! Thank you so much for all the hard effort! Colorful Theme Link: Jason and Co., Thank you guys also! As always! This is the most fantastic front end ever. It's what I've dreamed of since I was a kid. You guys are the best! BigBox Graphical Glitching v11.3-11.6 *Solved - Page 3*

Just a small update, my GF's PC started having the issue again all of the sudden. Not sure how the service became active again, but I'm guessing a driver update. All she had to do was disable the nahimec service again. So to be clear, proceed with full removal or disable. Should solve the issue if it rears it's head again. I just wanted to thank everyone on here one more time for the efforts. It would have been a huge bummer to using BigBox had we not found the solution quickly. You guys rock!
