  2. You’ve done a great job mate. That’s just me not picking as I like things to open in full screen lol. I can’t remember exactly what my scale is at but it’s definitely over 100% so you’re probebly right on why it’s doing this. I don’t see then top bar at all unless I resize the window, then it pops into the screen. The screenshot is a full screen shot other than the left side and taskbar cropped on a little in it.
  3. Nice work, this is a brilliant addition to LB/BB. My only suggestion is for the window size to save after you have resized it or have an option to open in fullscreen as mine isn't fitting the screen properly.

  5. I’d stick with this mate tbh. Like we said it’s only a simple change in a bulk renamer and it’ll work for everyone. As we are all here I’m sure we have spent waaayy more time doing a lot more than that (don’t mention image renaming to me 😂 ) You’ve done all the leg work so I’m sure nobody is going to mind doing that little change if needed.

I'm just thinking that the controller is just the same as the mouse/keyboard. 2.2 worked without the devices ID's so i don't see why the controllers need IDs on the as well, but then again i know nothing about this 😂 I'll add a bug report tomorrow anyway because I would imagine the keyboard/mouse changes with this latest version will have broken a lot of people's configs as well with the new renaming. As for controllers, @zugswang wired one isn't working so his may be different to the 3 we have, then maybe Xbox Series X, Xbox Series X Elite etc and we won't even mention controllers outside of Xbox and PS 😂
  7. I'll test out the mappings for you yeah, will it just be changing the names like I mentioned or have you thought of something else? I already changed all the Xbox 360 ones to Xbox One Elite and it worked great my end and using 2.2 everything works perfectly now. Here's the zip if you want to use them. Maybe if we all chime in he will add it in the next dev build so we can as least use a version of 2.3. BTW you haven't wasted your time doing this, it still works great with 2.2 and when he reverts back to the old keyboard/mouse mapping it will with 2.3 as well with some minor tweaks people will have to do in with a couple of clicks in notepad++ for the controllers so all is good Oh and I wish you hadn't mentioned Shootout Pool Prize, i played the other one a bit ago but this prize one is highly addictive for us Brits 😂
  8. I have just open a can of worms. The Keyboard and mice are by device IDs mine are Keyboard RAW_HID Keyboard Device [VID_062A&PID_4C01&MI_00]_SHOOTOUT POOL_arcade Mouse RAW_HID-compliant mouse [VID_062A&PID_4C01&MI_01&Col01]_SHOOTOUT POOL_arcade So these will be different for each and every person for the most part. On a positive note, it seems like the latter (the IDs) were only added in the latest release as the keyboard and mouse configs work out of the box with version 2.2 so that could possibly be fixed. The joypad controls are still labelled differently though but I think this can be sorted (as well as reverting back to the old keyboard/mouse naming) if someone could put this forward to Flyinghead on his github who can explain this a lot more logically than I can 😂. All we need is the controller configs just to be named generically like just SDL_Controller_XXXXXXX.cfg so they work for everything like the old mouse and keyboard configs used too.

Oh sorry just to add i have another Xbox wireless pad and when that's plugged in thats name is Xbox One S Controller So I think if I want to use both I'd have to double up all the profiles and rename one lot to "Xbox One Elite Controller" and the other lot to "Xbox One S Controller" @zugswang have a look what your controllers named as and try renaming one of the config files to it.
  10. Right, so I have found out why the controls aren't loading and why the analog didn't work with the D-pad. It's because the configs are named after the controller's name!! So mine are called SDL_Xbox One Elite Controller_ALIEN FRONT_arcade.cfg and not SDL_Xbox 360 Controller_ALIEN FRONT_arcade This is also inside the configs as well, with mapping_name = Xbox 360 Controller being mapping_name = Xbox One Elite Controller Now on my end, that's an easy fix but it may throw a spanner in the works for you with the number of controllers out there I don't think you could make a setup that fits everyone. Regarding the mouse configs not loading though, both configs just start with "RAW_HID-compliant mouse" so I'm not sure where to go with that unless they are set up with device IDs somewhere else, but I'll keep having a play to see if i can figure it out.
  11. I've been having a play and I don't even think mine is loading the configs for the most part. The most obvious is Shootout Pool where the left click isn't pulling the cue, I have to hold the A button on the controller. So i went into the game and its controls menu and every mapping option says "make game config" instead of delete config if one was already there.
  12. I've been through a few as well and only the D-pad is working (Dirty Pigskin, Beachspikers, Melty Blood, Virtual Striker, Virtual Tennis , WWF and Metal Slug) This is with an Xbox One Elite Controller
  13. Just to reply to your comment, like you say its come a long way and hopefully they can add the stacked inputs you want as well to make this a bit easier for you. BTW is this set up with version 2.3? I just noticed they released 2.3 stable 6 hours ago and have added Gamepad dead zone and saturation settings which was only available in an old dev branch beforehand.
    Great work! I'm so happy you had another look at Flycast to see how much it's changed and decided to make another amazing config setup. Thanks again 👍
  14. Hi guys, I have recently moved my large collection of manuals over to my NAS and am symlinking them back to the root launchbox manuals folder but get this error when I try and view them. I have tried turning off the built-in function in the options but that opens Acrobat and it doesn't load them full screen like the BB one does. Any ideas what I can do to get them to work?

  17. I'm not sure what the default one is like tbh. I'm pretty restricted on what I can do with the pause theme as I'm having to use the original images with the grey background. I tried removing the background so I could have a png with just the text and controller but the images are to small to do that with. We could edit current pause themes to look something like these though without too much hassle. .
  18. I've been setting this up and use this. You have to put the Images in the Controls - Information folder though using the zip I've linked and not the main one. The main file uses a newly made "Game Controls" which works for the Platform Images but not specific game images. I'm in the process of seeing if I can tidy the images up as I use a 4k TV so they don't look great when stretched. I have had a quick test of just keeping the images the same size and placing them into a 1080x720 background and they look a lot better but the information is quite small and the rest bare. 😂 This is what it looks like with the pause screen i am currently making. As i say very bare but WIP. If Anyone has any suggestions on what to add to that and where abouts such as playtime, players etc let me know.
  19. I have a solution but can't quite execute it lol So I have to load the game in borderless and then press F3 for it to go fullscreen. Now I am using a script in the running section in the emulator but am struggling to get something like, #IfWinActive, %MFMEWindow% F3:: ; Press F3 key Send, {F3} return added to it and working for it to go fullscreen after it closes the splash screen and notes. Heres @fruity script that im trying to add it too. A little update is that it appears to be something to do with the backdrops as when I enable "random backdrops" it breaks a lot more games 😂 Also choosing anything other than fullscreen in load mode and they work as well so i'm guessing if i can figure out how to change the monitor size from the defaults of 1538 x 864 i may be able to get them all working.
  21. Has anyone else come across this type of error? This is happening for a few games and the addresses change slighty, this error was for Monopoly Hot Property. The game runs fine when ran through MFME but I get the errors when it's being launched through Launchbix for some reason. I've tried adding MFME as an exception in DEP and deleting and re-scanning the DB but neither had any effect.

I thought these might be useful for people with lightguns so they can move all their own lightgun cfgs and nvram files out before adding yours so they just paste them over your ones after and keep their settings. _Move Mame Lightgun nvrams.bat_Move Mame Lightgun cfgs.bat I believe I have all the Lightgun games from Mame listed in this, if not let me know.

I can’t imagine how much time you've put into this but I’m sure I speak for others as well saying thank you for all the effort 👍 I may have to update my mame now then and used non-merged sets instead of my usual merged 😂 i have a couple of questions, would it be wise to use The image renamer to rename all our media to the rom names before we add your xml? and I have a Gun4ir lightgun. Seeing as you have calibrated these for mouse and controller should I leave the cfg and nvrams out of all the lightgun games as I have set mine up already for lightgun use use?

I just did an image clean-up with the image clean up function and after it finished I moved the files and I had a look through my platforms to see it it removed any images it shouldn't and i found some images were missing. Now the strange thing is the box backs and spines are named Dragon_s Lair II _ Time Warp for example and are shown still in LB and werent moved with the clean up tool but the box front which is named exactly the same and was picked up as not in use and move/deleted. This has happened with quite a lot of files with a dash in the filename and with the underscore in the images filename. Just to put it out there image naming on Launchbox is the bain of my life, i don't know how much time i have spent remaining files 😂 Can we not have Launchbox ignore commas, hyphens, dashes and apostrophes in titles/filenames so it matches them, instead of having to use underscores in the image file?
