  1. Gotcha. Maybe I should change the text on that option to make it more clear...
  2. We can wait until you finish it up. Thanks again.
  3. See the actual beta thread here:
  4. @sxetikos The latest beta that I just put out does include the translation files you sent, so you can test what you have so far.
  5. I'm doubtful that the VLC upgrade would have really fixed that issue, but who knows. What was your process to upgrade VLC? Did you replace the files in the LaunchBox\VLC folder?
  6. This one baffles me, especially with the code I added to force fix it. I can't seem to replicate it at all; any more relevant details would be appreciated.
  7. @NJDave71 @wallmachine Please test beta 6 (just put it out) and let me know if the performance/freezing issues are resolved. If not, there's one other thing that I can try, but I'm hoping this fixes it.
  8. This should have been fixed in beta 5. Are you still seeing this with beta 6 that I just put out @shinra358?
  9. Alright, I went ahead and put out a beta early today, including: - Fixed: Retro Achievements were causing errors to pop up in LaunchBox if the retroachievements.org website went down - Fixed: Some Big Box theme combinations resulted in issues saving different views for each platform - New Big Box PDF reader key and button mappings for Zoom In and Zoom Out (no longer mapped to Page Up and Page Down, new defaults are the + and - keys) - Attempting to fix newly-introduced Big Box performance issues from here: - New Greek translation (only half-way finished by @sxetikos) - New option in Big Box to use built-in PDF reader for additional apps PDFs
  10. Thank you all; I think I finally have this fixed for the next beta. If the main theme had a particular view disabled, it was causing that view not to be able to be used for platform-specific themes.
  11. I fixed that Retro Achievements bug for the next beta, which should be out later today.
  12. This is working properly for me when checking the right boxes. It's important to keep in mind that nothing will be downloaded from the LaunchBox Games Database if "Search for game information from the LaunchBox Games Database" isn't checked. Here's what I did to test: Cleared out all my images for Atari 2600 Started the Download Metadata and Media wizard Made sure the box was checked to "Search for game information from the LaunchBox Games Database" Checked the Clear Logo image type and unchecked all others Left everything for EmuMovies unchecked Clicked "Yes, but do not replace any existing fields or media" Clicked Finish It then proceeded to download clear logos for everything, as it should. Let me know if I'm missing something.
  13. Hi guys, what *should* be happening is that images should be downloaded whether or not you force replace. However, nothing should be downloaded if "get information from LaunchBox" isn't checked; that is required. I'll give this a test.
  14. Thanks all; this should be fixed for the next beta release.
  15. Thanks all; I have this fixed for the next beta. @rocksinboxes I'm puzzled there in all honesty. If you have any more information to help me figure that one out, let me know.
  16. Thanks @gamehacker; got this fixed for the next release.
  17. All looks good so far @sxetikos.
  18. To clear up some misconceptions here, we *do* use the mameinfo.dat and history.dat files. The trouble is that those two pieces of data alone do *not* provide all the information we need in order to get all the filtering logic working properly in LaunchBox. There are a number of other fields that are provided by other sources. So combining them all is what's tricky. I do realize that it all needs to be updated; hopefully I can do that soon here.
  19. It doesn't prompt you until the update is completely downloaded if you have background updates enabled (as designed).
  20. You'll have more visibility to the process if you disable background updates; that way you can observe the process at least.
  21. Do you have background updates enabled?
  22. Thank you @gamehacker! I have the translation finally integrated in the beta that I just put out; the next step is to test everything out. Since I can't read Chinese at all, I really need your help with that. Let me know if you find any issues.
  23. Beta 5 is out now guys with some fixes. Please let me know what issues still remain with this release.
  24. Beta 5 is out now guys, with a hopeful fix for some bugs that have been reported here: Also, I've finally integrated the Traditional Chinese translation from @gamehacker.
