  1. Cool ideas here; I think we should wait to implement them in the future though because otherwise we'll never get this beta out. Perhaps we can get some of them on the next poll.
  2. The thing is, though, I would be very surprised if LaunchBox is the only app that is being affected by it, because it's not like LaunchBox does anything that other applications wouldn't do. And it sounds like it's affecting a broad number of things, so that just screams that there's an issue with the software. But to really figure it out I'd have to have the hardware so...good to know though, regardless.
  3. Thanks @Coleman, unfortunately that information isn't really helpful though. It is unfortunately rather difficult to get useful information after a hard crash.
  4. Should be fixed for the next beta.
  5. Whoops, that one is actually FilterDetailsView.xaml. Sorry for that.
  6. Good find here; I honestly don't know how that one got missed. That's insane that I haven't heard about it. I'll get this fixed for the next beta.
  7. @shinra358 I think it's GameDetailsView.xaml.
  8. Awesome, I'm glad you got that figured out. Not to cop out of the issue, but generally, any app that interferes with other apps like that is just downright badly written software, and the issue should be reported to Corsair. Probably that it "interferes with the .NET Framework and software that uses it." It would unfortunately be difficult for me to troubleshoot; yes, I would have to buy the hardware and set up a test bench for it all. What Corsair hardware do you use that requires that software?
  9. That's odd; sorry to ask something so simple but have you tried rebooting @Styphelus? I don't believe we've changed much in the way of startup processes.
  10. I think I figured out the issue in the code there. It was only happening for games that were not previously connected with a LaunchBox Games Database ID. When a new connection is found, it was overwriting the title. I've fixed this so it doesn't happen in the next beta.
  11. @MartinC The metadata is actually not cached at all; only the images are cached. It pulls the data directly from the XML files every time it loads. However, depending on what you're changing in the XML files, it may be in more than one spot or more than one file. For instance, the platform names are in both Platforms.xml and the game XML files (as well as the file names). The only other thing to worry about is to make 100% sure that LaunchBox is closed and not running (no LaunchBox.exe or BigBox.exe processes running) before making any changes to the XML files.
  12. Thanks all, wanted to update everyone; I'm back into the development mix here now that the holidays and Black Friday are over. I'm looking into all these issues and I should likely have a beta out either later today or tomorrow.
  13. Apologies @NiGHTS but we advertise only one day a year, so we have to stick to that.
  14. Good to know, @Itay080. Thanks for updating us. Glad it's all sorted. I wish I knew exactly what was causing this crap for the few users that are experiencing it, but it's good to know that a clean install at least does fix the issue. I'm guessing that there's some kind of bugged install for the .NET Framework 4.7 or something of that sort that only happens in rare situations.
  15. Sorry to share bad news @BTr, but unfortunately we're sticklers about only doing the sale one day a year.
  16. @NiGHTS So sorry but unfortunately the sale is over for good, until next year. PayPal refuses to work with us (and is also a fairly criminal company, for what it's worth), so unfortunately PayPal is not an option.
  17. Yes, this is a confirmed issue with the latest releases that I have on my list to fix.
  18. Gotcha. So I'm guessing it's a data issue then. Can you zip up and PM me your LaunchBox\Data folder? I'll take a look and see what the problem is. Make sure you PM it and don't post it here for privacy reasons.
  19. The latest major change we did was upgrade to the latest version of the .NET framework. We've noticed lately that things like this have been mostly caused by glitches with the latest version of the .NET framework and driver compatibility issues. So the first thing I would do is run Windows Update to make sure that all drivers and updates are installed. Then I would reinstall the .NET framework 4.7, but I think it's basically included with Windows 10 in the latest updates. So let's first see if you're all the way up to date with Windows Updates.
  20. @Itay080 Sorry to hear; that's certainly not a typical experience. A refund is always an option if for whatever reason we can't get it working on your system, but hopefully we can. Can you give us details on your system specs and what version of Windows you're running?
  21. @LuismaSP89 Yes, if you wait for next year's Black Friday, you should be able to upgrade to a forever license at a discount. There's no guarantee that we'll do the same deal next year, but most likely we will.
  22. Hi @shadowfire36, sorry for the possibly stupid question, but did you copy the cores over or re-download the cores when you upgraded?
  23. @Zombeaver and @Styphelus Come on guys, chill out a little bit. He was cracking a joke lol.
  24. Haha, that's amazing. Yeah, definitely need all of these. There are a lot of places in LaunchBox that I still need to add community rating. Hopefully I can get these in before the official release. Unfortunately I probably won't add a separate process because it's a lot of work for very little return. If there's an issue with data being overwritten by the wizard, I need to know the specific details so I can get it fixed, rather than ignoring it and adding a separate process.
