  1. Yeah, I've noticed that recently too. I had that all working, originally, though with a tad bit of a delay (was trying to optimize CPU usage). Thanks for the note, I will look to fix this very soon.
  2. Thanks, bd. Always great to see you here, though I certainly understand the time constraints.
  3. Just to clarify, I do intend to support imports for as many things as possible (Origin, GOG, Desura, etc.). It's just all about priorities and efforts. Hopefully I can add them soon enough.

Ah, I see. Good find. I'll look to fix these issues soon.
  5. Hi shinra, you've done a great job describing an ideal way to handle multiple discs. Obviously we very much do need a solution for this issue. However, it is a challenge (it's actually very difficult to do, believe it or not), and depending on the emulator it may or may not be possible to have LaunchBox insert discs while the emulator is running. So this would sure be nice, but I'll have to see how feasible it would be. Unfortunately, some emulators just would not cooperate.
  6. Thanks dashing, would love to expand to Android, but for the moment Windows is the focus.
  7. Great feedback, bd, thanks. Sorry this took me so long to review. I will add these to my list.
  8. Thanks for the good discussion guys. Just some quick notes. Sales are coming in at roughly 1 sale per day. I am in awe that I've had even that much success, because yes, getting money out of people is incredibly difficult (especially when it comes to what ultimately boils down to a launcher). I am ecstatic that my LaunchBox efforts have not been in vain. However, 1 sale per day is admittedly nowhere near enough to truly justify the development time I spend. That said, I do this for fun. This is what I enjoy, and I have no intention to stop. I've been doing this for a well over a year now, and though my level of interest fluctuates from time to time, I always come right back to it. And now that there is a paid product, I have an obligation that I do not intend to break. I am very interested in making more money with LaunchBox, but I'm pretty positive that increasing the price too significantly, or having a subscription model, is not the best way to make that happen. I was terrified that people would run away when I introduced the paid model to begin with, just because, yes, there are free (and open source) products that do this already. I just like to think that LaunchBox makes it easier and prettier. For what it's worth, my goal is to make the premium version of LaunchBox more enticing with every release. I have a proper home theater view planned for this year, which will be a premium-only feature, as well as a number of other things. Once the premium version is more feature-packed, I may decide to increase the price to $20, but I wouldn't see increasing the price much higher than that as a good idea (nor do I want an angry community). Anyways, thank you all for your continued interest and support, and thank you for the purchases. I can promise for the foreseeable future that I will continue and will not lose interest in LaunchBox. Beyond that, I can promise that if I ever do lose interest (which I highly doubt), I will open source the entire project so that someone else can easily take it over. So there are really no worries as to the future of LaunchBox. It would be incredibly nice if I was able to work on LaunchBox full-time; I could spit out features like no tomorrow. However, that's pretty unrealistic, as there's just not near enough revenue available to ever make that happen. Regardless, I'm very happy with the progress that's being made (and it seems the community is too), and I'm being paid for what I love doing, so I have no complaints whatsoever. We shall prevail.
  9. Mind if I add one of your screenshots to my screenshots page?
  10. Wow, very nice, davy. That looks pretty great. It's really fun seeing LB tweaked like to be something so different (and attractive).
  11. Good thoughts, guys. The series field is indeed planned, but I hadn't though about needing multiple series. I'm sold on the concept now though, ian. Thanks for the input. We will see that feature eventually. Xananax, you got it. Custom fields are indeed coming. However, I think Series would need to be its own special field in order to handle the multiple series logic.
  12. Hi shinra, haven't heard of ePSXe Shark, but I'll see what I can do. On my list.
  13. bd000 said Quick question. Since LB now includes preset CLI options, do you still need me to maintain this thread? or is it obsolete? Or rather, will users still reference it? Hey bd, as always, thanks for your work on this thread. Most of my recommended settings inside of LaunchBox are indeed coming from here, however, there is a *LOT* more information here than what I plan to put into the app, so, yes, it would be wonderful if you could keep maintaining this thread. Thanks, Jason
  14. Thanks, ian. Sorry for my late reply. I will be adding a keyboard shortcut to navigate to the sidebar; good find.

Brad's right, multiple sources does get ridiculously complicated. That said, that's why I'm considering local metadata (next to the games), and also why I'm so interested in EmuMovies, since it lets me download it. Not sure where we'll go, but I want to see this in action, at least.

Ah, I see. I'm toying with the idea of storing metadata and images with the actual games, instead of (or optionally as well as) in the XML file and Images folder. If I could do it in a somewhat standardized way, all the better. So this is an interesting endeavor. Where would I download that app?
  18. Duckeenie said Have you tried Emumovies website? they have an app that scans your roms folders and will download artwork videos etc to the relevant folders. Used it for years comes highly recommended from me. Only snag is you have to pay a little, but he puts the work in so it's fair I think. Duckeenie, can you clue me in as to how to use all that? I haven't found a download for the app.
  19. Ah, I see; thank you Oussama. So you would want to track setups/installers with LaunchBox as well?

Thank you Etock! I will add these to my list (though most are already there). Per EmuMovies, that's the third request I've had recently to add it. Can you explain why it's superior? Is it just the selection? I haven't really played around with it too much, but the site seems fairly minimal. What apps do you use EmuMovies with?
  21. Hi Hyro, thanks for the request. As Brad mentioned, I've added an item to my list to support custom DOSBox versions.
  22. Ah, I see that. Thanks, toe_head. I'll get it fixed.
  23. Arcade, I can't seem to reproduce this with the latest beta. It pops up a dialog saying "you'll need to specify an emulator..." but if you click No, it should still save with the command line parameters. Does that not work for you?
  24. Hi Martin, all that is planned. I am always working on improving performance, but of course it does get to be a challenge with 10,000+ games. I do have all those items on my list.
