  1. Yes, need to find a way to make this more clear. Will probably use balloon tips. Thanks, guys.
  2. Great, many thanks.
  3. Oh, ha, good point. I'll add an item to my list to allow for custom dates.
  4. Thanks, Wolf. At some point Microsoft decided to use the up top back button for wizards, so it's just following MS's guidelines (though I agree, a Back button is more intuitive). I'll blame MS for the open folder dialog issue too; you practically have to reinvent the wheel in order to present a folder selection dialog using the better approach. The standard open file dialog does not support opening folders, so it's difficult to get past that. That said, I have this on my list to find a better solution for all of the open folder dialogs.
  5. Thanks davy! I've added the screen to my Screenshots page.
  6. I actually liked that idea (had it in my email, but hadn't responded yet). It's on my "would be nice" list, thanks.
  7. Interesting, good info. Yes, just the XML would help. Ultimately, the best thing you could do to help me out would be to try and reproduce the issue (see if just XML allows you to reproduce it or not). But yeah, if you can come up with the XML, that's a big help.
  8. Ah, I see. Yeah, I haven't at all accounted for images manually added to the folders. That's a tough one to resolve, but does need some attention. I am hoping to revamp the options for how images are stored (such as allowing to store them with ROMs, for example), so I'll address this then.
  9. Yup. Good thoughts though. At some point it might be a good idea to show breadcrumbs of some sort, that would make sense.
  10. Thank you Wolfereign! Good finds. Can you screenshot me the black bar you're seeing? What version of Windows are you running? Per the filtering, I'm hoping users can use the Windows search functionality to select the files they need, though I do need to figure out a way to enlighten people about that who don't know how to do it.
  11. Yes, both custom playlists and custom fields are planned (though admittedly neither are a primary focus for the moment). We'll simply add a new tab for custom fields, with a grid of sorts, as to not over-complicate the dialog. It also probably won't even be visible for non-premium users. I see both custom playlists and custom fields as premium features.
  12. Thanks, bd, good point. The custom filters should work perfect for this, though it is a premium feature.
  13. Thanks Xananax, any chance you could share that package with me? I'll delete it after testing for legal reasons, but I'll probably need the package in order to solve the problem.
  14. Ah, hmm. I think this was by design. My concern is there's no way to know that you're filtered (or how you're filtered) if the side bar is hidden. Thoughts?
  15. Thanks my friend. Test the heck out of it. All imports/background processes are moving that direction soon enough.
  16. Good to know, guys; I'll make platform wallpaper a priority.
  17. Ugh, um, yeah. I didn't read all the bickering, just deleted it. For what it's worth, I happen to *love* Retroarch. Duckeenie, probably best not to start (or encourage) pointless battles. And Brad, he *did* have a point...try not to be so needlessly condescending, please (and I'd prefer if you didn't use "we" when discussing your own opinions). But there's nothing but love around here (at least coming from me). Matt, sorry for that lol...every emulator is different so the behavior of which screen it shows up on will depend on the emulator. That said, you *might* have some luck using the Windows display settings to make the TV your primary monitor (I would guess that would work). Hugs and kisses, Jason
  18. Yeah, I've noticed that recently too. I had that all working, originally, though with a tad bit of a delay (was trying to optimize CPU usage). Thanks for the note, I will look to fix this very soon.
  19. Thanks, bd. Always great to see you here, though I certainly understand the time constraints.
  20. Just to clarify, I do intend to support imports for as many things as possible (Origin, GOG, Desura, etc.). It's just all about priorities and efforts. Hopefully I can add them soon enough.

Ah, I see. Good find. I'll look to fix these issues soon.
  22. Hi shinra, you've done a great job describing an ideal way to handle multiple discs. Obviously we very much do need a solution for this issue. However, it is a challenge (it's actually very difficult to do, believe it or not), and depending on the emulator it may or may not be possible to have LaunchBox insert discs while the emulator is running. So this would sure be nice, but I'll have to see how feasible it would be. Unfortunately, some emulators just would not cooperate.
  23. Thanks dashing, would love to expand to Android, but for the moment Windows is the focus.
  24. Great feedback, bd, thanks. Sorry this took me so long to review. I will add these to my list.
  25. Thanks for the good discussion guys. Just some quick notes. Sales are coming in at roughly 1 sale per day. I am in awe that I've had even that much success, because yes, getting money out of people is incredibly difficult (especially when it comes to what ultimately boils down to a launcher). I am ecstatic that my LaunchBox efforts have not been in vain. However, 1 sale per day is admittedly nowhere near enough to truly justify the development time I spend. That said, I do this for fun. This is what I enjoy, and I have no intention to stop. I've been doing this for a well over a year now, and though my level of interest fluctuates from time to time, I always come right back to it. And now that there is a paid product, I have an obligation that I do not intend to break. I am very interested in making more money with LaunchBox, but I'm pretty positive that increasing the price too significantly, or having a subscription model, is not the best way to make that happen. I was terrified that people would run away when I introduced the paid model to begin with, just because, yes, there are free (and open source) products that do this already. I just like to think that LaunchBox makes it easier and prettier. For what it's worth, my goal is to make the premium version of LaunchBox more enticing with every release. I have a proper home theater view planned for this year, which will be a premium-only feature, as well as a number of other things. Once the premium version is more feature-packed, I may decide to increase the price to $20, but I wouldn't see increasing the price much higher than that as a good idea (nor do I want an angry community). Anyways, thank you all for your continued interest and support, and thank you for the purchases. I can promise for the foreseeable future that I will continue and will not lose interest in LaunchBox. Beyond that, I can promise that if I ever do lose interest (which I highly doubt), I will open source the entire project so that someone else can easily take it over. So there are really no worries as to the future of LaunchBox. It would be incredibly nice if I was able to work on LaunchBox full-time; I could spit out features like no tomorrow. However, that's pretty unrealistic, as there's just not near enough revenue available to ever make that happen. Regardless, I'm very happy with the progress that's being made (and it seems the community is too), and I'm being paid for what I love doing, so I have no complaints whatsoever. We shall prevail.
