Sometimes happens with some updates it will copy over your current configuration files "cfg", inside the ui try to point manually to the location/folder where your bios are and press "save current config", if not... try to insert manually in the retroarch.cfg file. Before updating ra save the cfg files in another location, in case something goes wrong!

Not that i know off! I have searched and apparently there are no translation files to update the roms.
