  1. If it's related to the game and not a real image or screenshots compiled from the game, then I approved it. I approved a bunch of Castlevania fan art that looked pretty good and approved the deletion of just straight screenshots as fan art. It's kind of subjective, but we still have our guidelines. There was just a straight image of Bugs Bunny, that is kind of a toss up because it's a Bugs Bunny game. There was a shot of a real Basket Ball game for an SNES Basketball game and I rejected that one.
  2. Bsnes Balanced is also just as great, it's what I use and I've never had a problem with it. But to get perfect emulation there are some drawbacks. Speed hacks are just a necessity early on, not to mention Higan is still being developed. I don't think Higan ever differentiates accuracy vs balanced anymore. Emulation wise you should be great though.
  3. Bsnes, like I said, should have perfect emulation across the board. As for texture files, I am unsure I never bothered to check. You know what RetroArch can do though, it can do lots of stuff. If you like RetroArch as is then check out the bsnes balanced core. I think the mercury cores can also play Star Fox at a regular frame rate instead of 15. xD It may not be the mercury cores, it's been a while since I checked that out. RetroArch has quite a few for SNES though.
  4. I am unsure where you read that but ZSnes is actually the least accurate SNES emulator out there using tons and tons of speed hacks, nor has it really been developed for years. When I got back in to Emulation I used Zsnes because it was the emulator I first used in 2000, so I started using that again in 2008/09. Once this stuff started taking over my world I found out a lot of things. Bsnes is considered "the perfect" emulator for SNES and it's since been turned in to Higan. Bsnes Balanced in RetroArch is damn near 100%. I say "perfect" like that because it's emulation is supposedly perfect or near perfect but that obviously doesn't account for features someone may like.
  5. Ah, well if you get bored and want to experiment with more stuff I would suggest looking in to RetroArch a bit. Great all-in-one Emulator with lots of systems emulated. I say that cause I notice you said ZSnes. I used that as well but over time I realized how much the other emulators run circles around it.
  6. No problem and never a bother, I wouldn't have guessed that. I think that needs to be in my line of questioning from now on. Do you have your games on your C drive?
  7. So you're adding the folder not the files? Try using the add files importer and select a few games from that see if it works. Also, try unzipping them and see if that works. You said other systems imported being in a .zip, but still just to say we covered it.
  8. Which method are you using to import the games and are any of your other systems zipped?
  9. The emulator won't prevent you from importing your games, though I suggest using RetroArch or bsnes / higan instead, and the Extraction check box is for launching the game so that LaunchBox extracts the game so it can run and play in the Emulator. Neither of these things should prevent you from importing your games. If you are new to all of this I would honestly suggest watching our Tutorials on our channel. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL6pTDaHeAz-WMcNURVPU-1xLN_TVpT3FB I haven't done a specific SNES Tutorial yet, but I will be soon. However, they all have stuff that you can learn and apply to any other system. Since this is a clean install I don't think you have a corrupt XML nor do I think the games are residing in LaunchBox without a Platform associated to it, at least all based on the information you've given me. If you want the video's by date so you can watch them in the order I recorded them you can view them by date here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSIht6UXIEXIgz4eXAEShxA/videos The lower you get on the page the older the video's. The series gets a bit more assuming as time goes on.
  10. Is this your first time adding your games? Should they be archived, no not necessarily, but it works just fine with LaunchBox as long as you have the extraction box checked when you edit your emulator in LB. If this isn't your first time adding games, did you add games previously and try and delete the system without deleting the games? Is this your only system you are trying to add?
  11. Oh, and there have been a lot of date changes as well. Remember that the first date the game was released at is the date we're going with until regional dates can be made.
  12. I would like to remind everyone to try and follow the Guidelines as best as possible. I requested the deletion of two image with nudity and someone rejected those. Those need to be accepted. As well, someone tried to split Gran Turismo 2 in to two games, that is 1 game. There have also been a few duplicate editions of games. When in doubt, please make a quick search on the Database.
  13. 442GB. I remembered 600GB, but I was off and I didn't delete that many. Still a whole hell of a lot though.
  14. DOS games range from 250kb in the mid 80's to several hundred mb in the mid 90's and a lot of these have their disc images available. So game install + disc images. I've also pruned down a bit since I got the pack. Also, DOS games are not 1 single file... usually. They can range with as many files as a regular modern game. They're PC games more or less. Currently 4,739 games. I'm currently having Windows tell me how big it is, but there's a lot of files so I will in a bit.
  15. You might want to follow our tutorial series from the start.
  16. Yea it's meant to be a default script either for someone to use or to build off of.
  17. I've found No-Intro for everything not disc based. Also, I've gotten 1 Tosec, but it was disc based and didn't have duplicates. I also only had massive duplicate problems with GoodSets. As for what each thing means, it's in the GoodSet readme's. [b] mean Bad or Incorrect Rip, [h] means hacked (either rom hack, translation or otherwise), [t] means trainer... I forget what p and o are. There might even be [t] for Translated and [h] doesn't quantify Translated. Yea... unless you wanna sift through all of that. I also recently got the eXoDOS set... it was huge. It was however A LOT of DOS games... like 600GB worth.
  18. I did say it was working fine with my entire system. First search result. https://www.inputmapper.com/
  19. No, no need to apologize at all. Actually, they're the same thing. PSX2PSP (PSX annoys me btw... it's PS1... :P) is a fan created tool for modded PSP's to put PS1 games on the PSP. However, it's the same exact system that Sony uses. So that settings swapping feature is still at the root of it all. They created the system for PS3 and PSP. If it's available for PS2 games on PS4 I haven't come across that yet as no PS1 games are on PS4... at least yet. But they are certainly he same thing, just this is now adapted for emulator use too apparently.
  20. Yea you should be good to go, easily.
  21. InputMapper is the program that gets the PS4 controller up and running in Windows. It's what I use to make my PS4 controller work, it's great. No, LaunchBox does not come pre-installed with anything. It is illegal for us to redistribute roms like that. Also, we don't publicly discuss where to get specific roms. However, we do discuss certain specifics like the names of rom sets. The big one that most users like is the No-Intro sets. That's pretty much as far as we go talking about specifics. Otherwise, if you need help setting everything up check out our tutorials on the YouTube channel that I have created. You can get to them from the link in my signature. If you have more questions feel free to ask.
