  1. niglurion said I use .PBP files for every multiple discs games and it's working great (with ePSXe, I don't think it's working with Mednafen for the time being). You can choose the disc you want when requested. All with PSX2PSP. It's very easy. Yea it's essentially the method I was talking about, the Sony solution.
  2. Then to me, that sounds like it has to be a setting. If the only difference between us is the method of which we see the game then it has to lie within the difference. The only difference between us is that im not streaming it, and I am using a PS4 controller. Just to double check, you don't have any AutoHotKey or Automation settings running for BigBox do you? In BigBox Options check Controller Buttons and Controller Automation. At least to satisfy curiosity too, disable them and navigate BigBox with your keyboard and double check your games.
  3. That would be interesting to say the least. I know Sony has a solution digitally for all of their games, but it's all one package then you just open the settings and "swap discs". This would be awesome, we all know that multiple discs are just a relic of what was and we certainly don't need them anymore and can actually get rid of them. Albeit that's a lot more tricky... but still. Thanks for sharing.
  4. It'll be costly at first due to the newness of it, but 3.5mm can carry video and USB (any of them) can already carry Audio and video as well, so really this is at no surprise to me. It also won't go away probably completely. USB Mini still exists, even though Micro has phased that out almost completely. If adoption is high though and there isn't too much splintering of the market then it will be fine.
  5. jipwack said Thanks so much, exactly what i was looking for. Will i be able to view that in bigbox? Yea it should work similarly enough.
  6. Yea, there's a reason why you hear about No-Intro, Tosec and eXoDOS releases a lot. They just have the reputation behind them, and when something does slip through the cracks they're honest about it and fix it. I mean at the end of the day it's one passionate gamer trying to help other passionate gamers and certain websites get a reputation for bad rips. The site I got my bad rips from is notoriously bad with disc rips. I knew that but I never ran in to that brick wall. With proper rips they started to play all perfectly. We even had a user recently who used that same site for PS1 games and RetroArch more or less denied them. He got new rips from a different site and he was golden, it magically started working. You'll notice with No-Intro or Goodsets / Full sets that games will have a [!] attached to the file name. This generally means that the rip is good to go. In Good Sets you get a lot of extra junk though. With No-Intro sets you get just the good version of the games instead of 3 bad rips, 2 good rips, 5 hacked / trainer rips, etc etc.
  7. jipwack said Please Playlists like iTunes kind of Playlists. No need to move systems etc. Favourites could still be favourites within each system. Separate playlists could enable us to have all Mario games across platforms, all street fighter games across platforms etc. etc. etc. would be very, very cool. Please, Please (Please). That specifically is the Series field. Fill out the series field, then sort by that.
  8. On any games image page, click the plus. There is an entire list of acceptable images and 3D has it's own category.
  9. My controller is working great so I can post my settings. https://i.imgur.com/yFAVG4z.png https://i.imgur.com/Iwz3whv.png
  10. The closest you can get to that are CRC checks from a release group. They've pre-verified that games work and the best you can do is hope the CRC checks pass for every file and just assume / hope it work. When you come across a game you just fix it. I had to deal with that pretty majorly with my TurboGrafx CD set. Every single game needed to be replaced.
  11. Cadet Stimpy said Cool! You guys sure are busy, to our delight. Always something new to look forward to, without a long wait, either. That is the beauty of our current set up.

No actually I've never heard of that one. I've tried several though.

Yea it's very tricky. We have a good relationship with EmuMovies though (at least from out stand point), and they provide a lot more than just Arcade video. This is just one instance where it's hard to tell. With the exception of someone stealing their product, they do have a lot of harder to find video, music and manuals. Not to mention they're set up with an API and they allow us access to it for free. So it's really a lot more than just Arcade video, if that was the case we would have offered it up already more than likely. It is certainly a tricky spot we've been put in. We simply don't have access to their download numbers and bandwidth per month, but we guess that's why there are restrictions. We would, in the end, love to offer it all for free and sure the other free sources would probably not mind another server to off set the load. However, as we grow we have no clue what our projected monthly bandwidth will be and we don't want to have to charge for that too if it were to get out of hand.

No, ideally 2GB+ of RAM. It's like using a Virtual Machine vs an emulator.

Well no ones ever requested Android, so I thought it would be a good surprise. :P
  16. I thought it was, but yea it could be for users who want that.

Some games don't support controllers, but BlueStacks does and they should automatically if you set the settings that way.

Yep, this has been a planned tutorial for a while now. You jumped ahead, now there's no surprise! Edit: I am joking of course. It's awesome you posted this for others.

Drybonz said Jason Carr said Would love to hear peoples' thoughts on the matter. They would probably appreciate you picking up some of the bandwidth. No they'd rather be paid. DOS76 said In reality though does EmuMovies own the rights to those videos or are they all copyright infringements of the original right holders? Not that you should do anything underhanded to them just they wouldn't really have any legal recourse if you did. Yes and no...? On the grounds they own the video, no. On the grounds we're legit hurting their business, maybe.
  20. That's why I think it's a setting or a path that's off potentially. Could be (like you already pointed out) pointing to a bin or iso instead of the cue sheet. It could also mean bad rip though too. It depends on if @hgarcia is loading the bin or iso outside of LB, the cue sheets what have you.

All of that stuff can be removed or added though with very little video editing and Metadata. It's a bit confusing as to what came first. When money is involved anythings possible.
  22. Realistically with the Tiered image system coming this will probably be low on the list, but in the event that there is no image even then, this could be useful.
  23. Jason Carr said Good points @SentaiBrad. Screenshots are relatively easy to take and should be easy enough to get right. Box art may be different. I get them from time to time. :P
