  1. I just added back in a new DOS set (4,815) and I have 19,615 games total now. For me, I went with consoles I'd like to play instead of games. xD With the random function in LB you can get a lot of mileage out of a huge library. I also have very few duplicates, I am very stringent on that. NTSC preferred for everything, then PAL so it's in English. Then Japanese is left unless it's English translated which takes precedent in the English category. If there is a re-translation of a Japanese game (Final Fantasy on SNES) then the re-translation is preferable to the NTSC or PAL versions of the games. I also have very little to no Sports games. Racing doesn't count and I like some golf or sim sports games.
  2. Normally I don't parrot Jason on a lot of stuff, but in this case I completely agree. Thank you all for the great translation work you've been doing. It really does help us out a lot!
  3. CADScott said CADScott said Jason Carr said CADScott said My email is actually on online one, so my client and provider are actually kind of the same. I will have a good look at the settings in the online portal and try to turn off span for anything to do with LaunchBox, but hopefully Jason can reset the error at your end. Apologies, @CADScott. I looked into how to reset it and got nowhere. So I'm moving on for now. Pretty odd, that's for sure; sorry for the trouble, wish I had a good solution for it. Ouch, that is a bother! I might have to set up a custom email alias just for LaunchBox then! Hopefully it is something that can be fixed in the future, it certainly might effect someone else if they have any auto spam filters. I have set up a new email alias for LaunchBox, and I am now getting emails again, yah! They heard your betrayal! That is stupid strange.
  4. Yes. For now adding, removing and image editing are not available. In steps.
  5. Ok, I'll have Jason take a look at it then. If the latest Beta doesn't fix it then it's either another problem or some over looked setting.
  6. I forgot to ask if you've updated to the latest Beta? There was a bug related to DOS games and the Database.
  7. The Platform is MS-DOS and not GOG right? Not that it should matter if they're already linked to a Database entry... which is the strange part. I'll pass this on to Jason. If they're linked to a DB entry and not downloading images that's bad.
  8. It is, because I have all those games with images too. Restart Lb just to make sure and check that they don't have images now. If not, click a game, Ctrl + A to highlight them all, then under tools use the Download Metadata and Images option. Make sure to select to Only download missing metadata and see if it finds images now.
  9. If the games are already added though the associated platforms tab means less, if you are using a standalone emulator. Obviously it's way more important during import and for RetroArch or command lines. If you have games added, and they're associated with an emulator already (not RA), then you can try adding the Platform manually then bulk editing.
  10. You can also add it under Edit Platforms (instead of emulators) but Bulk Editing has worked every single time for me as well.
  11. Yea it sounds to me like they're over taxed or having server problems. Have you tried Pinging their server in a CMD prompt?
  12. No the Database will be per platform, in the case of the same game being on multiple platforms obviously the date earliest will probably show up, but this doesn't account for the same game on the same console for multiple regions. Something like what Wikipedia shows. This would probably be a good idea in the long run, but right now it's not the top priority.
  13. The ability to sort by region doesn't exist right now and has been suggested before. I think I prefer showing the languages more so then multiple consoles.
  14. I haven't noticed, but I also haven't tried downloading stuff. I don't know if there is anything in my library that needs EmuMovies stuff right now... I wonder if their server is at capacity or if their having troubles.
  15. Yea it's why I started the tutorials, to help users figure the program out.
  16. Just use the bulk edit feature. With all the games highlighted that you want to change, right click -> edit. Then from this new menu choose Platform and type in your desired platform. You may have some issues scraping though.
  17. Nathan DiYorio said I'll contribute as well. Username is Kriven. That's right, I was trying to remember why that name sounded familiar on Steam.
  18. I went ahead and removed it since I saw it first. It might not even be your client but rather the provider. Outlook / Hotmail / MSN / Microsoft does some weird crap to mine. I wish the last 15 years of important e-mail addresses that e-mail me were all ported to Gmail or something. I don't mean forwarded, I mean completely moved over. My hotmail doesn't exist but it still all goes to my gmail or a new gmail since my current one I try to make it more business focused. xD
  19. If you choose a Store or Fast compression for the games though, yea they'll uncompress faster but be a lot closer in size to before you archived it. If you want it to load instantly then don't compress your games. The only compression I do on my games is CSO and WBFS games. They're not compressed with WinRar or 7zip, but it's only for PSP, PS2 and Wii. Apparently someone on the YouTube channel was saying that their cue sheet loaded up a ecmed PS1 game they had, I was under the impression that you needed to decompress the ecm off of PS1 games for them to work, so there might be that to look in to as well. These compression methods are more native and don't require extra programs to run, just to do the compression.
  20. No, that's strange. I'm getting the e-mails from your replies. Unsubscribe and re-subscribe to the thread?
  21. Be careful with writing data to an SSD that often it can kill the SSD faster.
  22. The bigger the game the longer the unziping or unraring process will take, that's just the nature of the beast. Your CPU strength will also dictate the speed of decompression as well.
  23. No, it only streams supported content which is Movies, TV shows, music and pictures, nothing more.
  24. Huh, ok. Well at least it's not out right crashing.
