  1. You could use Xpadder or other controller remapping software to map the mouse movement to your right thumbstick and map either the press of the stylus (mouse button 1) to either when you click in the right mouse button or one of the secondary triggers. Pressing and dragging or flicking might not work to well.
  2. There are people who very strongly do not want to update any of their software. I love updating software and games personally, it is kind of fun. However even we see it with LaunchBox, there are people who don't want to update or begrudgingly update and are mad when they have to. I guess it's just personal preference.
  3. Yes it does, but this is cool for people not using RetroArch or stuck on an older version.
  4. Damn, I'm sorry nothing has worked so far. I do think RetroArch is better for uniformity and an all-in-one package but if your sound doesn't want to work right I do not blame you at all.
  5. Yea this is more or less what I linked to, I think the registry edit is the better option. For those who are afraid to mess up your registry, it is a bit resilient and as long as you just edit what the guide tells you, you should be good to go.
  6. Personally, I stick with Desmume in standalone form. As far as a save bug, I haven't heard of one. For the stylus, If I needed to I just use the mouse, or mouse and controller. I've used the left side of a controller before. Also, most games have stylus support but a majority of games use a d-pad and face buttons still too. For a game like Legend of Zelda you can use the mouse and the left side of your controller; Or right side if you're left handed with a mouse. As far as Filters for the X432R version you need to be using Direct3D or DirectX backends if I recall. It should be an option.
  7. Update to the latest beta. You can do this by enabling it in the options menu. This should fix your problem.
  8. Yea I do wonder if the game is still there, but kind of hidden. Another option is update to the beta, which you can enable in the options, and see if that fixes it.
  9. Ah, that explains why it still works on your XP machine. Later versions we dropped support for Windows XP. There is still no clear and cut reason why LaunchBox should be taking longer, but in the grand scheme of things it's still not that long.
  10. As of right now we are currently waiting on them. We can't proceed without them on this one. As soon as we know something we will of course let everyone know.
  11. Oh... you guys didn't have that checked? Huh... I never thought about unchecking it. That's odd to me how people differ in small things like that. I find it fascinating.
  12. I'm surprised you're not having bugs with LaunchBox being on XP. I guess if its still working.

Depending on the emulator, it probably already has a pause function too. F1 in RetroArch brings up the menu that pauses, and P in most others. I do like the bezel idea, but I imagine that would take a lot of time for Jason that he wont have for at least another month.
  14. Actually Jason is rather tired tonight and our forum back end needs to be sweet talked, so unfortunately that will have to get fixed in the morning. Sorry about that.
  15. We're going to enable PM's in the future. Also, you can't make threads there but you should have been able to post there, i'll get Jason to fix that ASAP.
  16. dmdbcool's shirt is up in the shop, ready to be purchased. We're working on Cujo's but we are having some issues with the image provided so that one is going to take a little longer to get up. Thank you again to everyone who posted Idea's for our shop, we really do appreciate it. We may even use some of these in the future too.
  17. You can also see a list of bugs and feature requests at our BitBucket page. https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues?status=new&status=open
  18. BigBox isn't making LaunchBox Bulkier, nor are there many heavy features that should be causing this. Also, in the options you should check the box for Beta Updates because there is a bug in 5.7. There really shouldn't be anything that is causing the longer start time... I know there were some changes made internally to how LaunchBox handles things, like Editing a game is a lot faster now. I always think users should be on the latest version of software as well. So yea... maybe Jason can correct me but I don't particularly think a light weight version can really be possible... everything works together. Maybe a performance bug was introduced but 6 seconds isn't a big deal to me. If more users are seeing an increased initial load time then please let us know.
  19. How is everyone recently? I am extremely excited to announce that Jason has hired me on as a contractor for LaunchBox. If you haven't noticed, we've been producing lots of video content in the last few months and it's done amazing things to help grow the LaunchBox community. I am absolutely loving the work I'm doing in creating videos for you guys, and I can't wait to see what we can produce going forward. The community has been a crucial part of LaunchBox, as you've all helped shape the entire development process. We want to include all of you in this discussion as well, as far as what video content to focus on. You may have already seen our Tutorial videos that help to educate new LaunchBox users on what to do when they want to play a new system with their configuration. Once we have covered many of the consoles we will start moving in to Tutorials that deal with a specific LaunchBox feature, set of features, or more advanced things you can do with something like AutoHotKey and Notepad++. Another show that we recently started was Retro Style Spotlight, which coincidentally shortens to RSS. The name is ironic because we wanted to have a place where we could deliver some Retro Gaming oriented news and tidbits. It also serves as an avenue to shed some light on the tutorials for users who found RSS separately. As we expand our content lineup that sort of thing might move in to it's own show or continue to make RSS more robust. Now we want to bring everyone in on the current phase of our master plan to conquer the wor- internet. Are you enjoying the two series currently? Is there anything you want me to add or change about them? Are there any other types of shows you want to see us do? Is there any place you want to see us go to like a local gaming convention? Either way I look forward to reading your replies, suggestions and questions. Thank you again to everyone in the community, we sincerely could not do this without you.
  20. No, the 64bit version is not bad. It runs just fine. The main difference has nothing to do with audio but how much RAM and CPU it can utilize. The 64bit version can't be run on a 32bit OS, which is why the 32bit version exists.
  21. Jason should be back in today so he should see this soon.
  22. It is easier and more difficult then you probably realize. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Game_rip_%28audio%29#Digital_extraction https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:VG_music_sound_formats But honestly I just grab what I can from sites: http://www.vgmusic.com/ http://gh.ffshrine.org/ These aren't the only two out there, there are a lot. I also use YouTube. For FLAC quality I usually look elsewhere...
  23. Depending on what you do with it, or certain games, a GPU can help.
  24. Sweet. Long time no see scree and thank you. Very random but awesome.
