  1. The cores in RetroArch are based on real emulators, try searching the emulator names? Or this site is really helpful: http://emulation.gametechwiki.com/index.php/Sega_Genesis_emulators
  2. Your PC is a mix of parts... but no I don't think it would be reliable in running anything more recent. It might even have some issues with a really large LaunchBox library.
  3. At the top of this page is a Send Feedback button, you are more than welcome to search for other feature requests and vote them up or submit feature requests for ones that don't exist. Otherwise I think Additional Apps can do with an overhaul. Why can't Additional Apps do the same exact function LB can? It's just with the way DOSBox has to get handled, but baring some technical limitation I don't see why Additional Apps can't be as modular as regular LB. Maybe set it to where if you set an additional app, it will use the same method (separately) to run that the game it's attached to is using? So Mega Man 2 is using RetroArch NES, I attach Mega Man AVGN to MM2 under additional apps and it by default uses the same command line to launch RA? Maybe it's even separated a bit and called Additional Games? Variants? Version? ... Oh, it might even be able to be utilized for disced games too... I need to stop thinking now. There would need to be a way to identify if a game has anything in it's additional apps (or otherwise) like a small number counter over the image. Granted, this process wouldn't be automated either, this would have to be manually input (Except maybe discs), but once you start adding them the numbers start appearing. This way you can remember what's what.
  4. So you're not closing RetroArch when you want to load a new game. The reason it is black screening is because you're trying to load a Genesis game with the TurboGrafx 16 core loaded. Close RetroArch first then launch the game from LaunchBox.
  5. I'm sorry if this is a dumb question but the games you are loading, they're the proper games right? You said first was Genesis, that loaded. Second was TurboGrafx and that loaded. Third was Genesis again and it black screened, was this game the proper game for the core? I'm asking Jason now because this is wracking my brain
  6. Load RetroArch outside of LaunchBox, then try loading from there. Load your Genesis core then your Genesis Game, then load your TurboGrafx 16 core then your TGFX16 game, then repeat Genesis again. Done outside of LaunchBox should work and if it does we know it's potentially a problem with your LB setup.
  7. Cadet Stimpy said Perhaps you could do the Merch in a KickStarter fashion? If ya want one, contribute to the 'development/design/manufacture' of it. If enough money is drummed-up, then proceed. We don't need to go that far. We didn't purchase a stock of shirts, they're printed on demand. We can afford an artist to make something though so Kickstarting doesn't make sense for us right now.
  8. Not necessarily. There could be config loading, or something is loaded, the new thing is loaded, then going back either the trigger to switch isn't there or the commands are broken. Sometimes the answers are simple and sometimes the answers are complicated. Usually best to start simple first then work your way down. Sometimes people get mad at that, but when we don't get specific information you've gotta cast a wide net. In this case just launching games could be anything.
  9. DOS76 said I love Mario Golf (not that anyone cares). Also, I care.
  10. Under the Emulators Page, edit RetroArch. Check the Associated Platforms page, there are three columns. On the left make sure that the Turbografx 16 system name matches the name on the left pane in LaunchBox. Then check each of the Sega consoles. Sega Mastersystem, Sega Genesis, Sega Game Gear, Sega CD, etc. Once you know the names all match, check the middle column. The middle column for Turbografx 16 should be -L "cores\mednafen_pce_fast_libretro.dll" The other Sega systems (except 32X, Saturn and Dreamcast) should be -L "cores\genesis_plus_gx_libretro.dll"
  11. That is strange. What are the specs of your PC? Did you change any settings in DOSBox?

    RocketLauncher

I don't know if RocketLauncher has forums, but you'll probably get more help there for this if they do have them.
  13. There are literally half a dozen or more threads on this exact topic. Disable Emu movies in the options or update to the beta release (which you can check in the options). There was a bug recently that was accidentally introduced, this is the most common culprit for this right now.
  14. Because honestly it's not that huge of a problem, and Jason is 1 man doing all of this alone. Parsing of Disc's has been on the list for a while so that when they are imported they're marked with the Disc portion. Scraping the first time around is strict, hence why everything between ( ) and [ ] is ignored, so adding in Disc or Disk makes it come up false when searching. It's not that simple of a fix, It requires a lot more logic and parsing capabilities. It can even potentially slow down scraping.
  15. Add files not folder. Or rename them manually like I do. There is no way to filter that automatically and the way it imports now is by design.
  16. You just need to replace the LaunchBox.xml in the root folder with another one, nothing special needs to be done.
  17. Double check the Associated Platforms tab for Emulators. You may have the line incorrect. Also make sure the name in the Associated platform matches the name of the system on the left pane in LaunchBox. Remember it should be -L "cores\core_name.dll" Obviously with the specific core name.
  18. Yea, we could have paid someone, but that wasn't the point. We want to involve our community in a lot of facets of what we do and this is one of them. Transparency is our goal and including the people here in Contests, Giveaways, Video's, Interacting with them on a personal level, etc etc etc, will never stop. There is a reason why we grew so fast and we won't stop being who we are. That said, someone could come up with a great design that we can then take to someone professional to flesh out, I do know professional artists I could contact to pay, but again this isn't the point. We have technically all we need, this is meant to be more fun than just purchasing someones time. We're not devaluing anything, the look and logo of the Kodi when it re-branded from XBMC came from the community, and I don't think the person was a professional who won, just a bit of time and a little know how. A lot of people have great ideas and great minds out there but don't feel comfortable sharing or comfortable putting them self out there. What if a young kid wants to get in to creating art and he started here? Unlikely but again, we want to include our community in something and that wont ever change.
  19. My Wife has serious questions now, THANKS CLIVE!
  20. Fan-fic designs of Jason and myself will be denied upon entry, but reviewed heavily...........
  21. No problem, enjoy your games!
  22. Adding them is easy, getting there is hard and every users experience level is wildly different. Since it requires some user intervetion (at least right now) an automatic solution is hard.
  23. Why can't they be individual games?
